Maybe here, but after Kerber cheated against Hantuchova and refused to admit that Hantuchova returned a ball into the middle of the court that was called out, and stole the point not even offering a replay, made me lose 100% of the respect I once had for Kerber.

What amazes me is that there is no protocol for when a player is injured. Everyone stands around not knowing what to do, as if they can't even touch them. BRING THE ICE for the injury- BRING A TOWEL for their head- don't just stand there waiting for the medic. :/

It’s interesting and rather telling that despite the grass court season being the shortest and most limited in terms of events that many of these slips, trips and falls are on grass. This is why so many players dislike it as a surface. It is unreliable, has uneven bounces and is dangerous when it takes in moisture.

Federer and Novak love it. Its sport. Injuries happen.
@bryanmartin5901
@bryanmartin5901 Год назад
What are you talking about? Soccer, baseball, football, so many other extremely physical sports take place on grass 100%. If the grass season were as long as the clay season, as it should be, players would be more accustomed to it and there would be fewer injuries. Hard court is the most dangerous by far, as it is the hardest on the body, and any impact injuries are worsened on hard court. Tennis began on grass and should remain on grass. The fact there is no M1000 on grass is an insult to the history of the sport.

Wow, that's hard to watch and these ladies are in serious shape too. I don't watch tennis on a regular basis so I'm probably not familiar with the process but I'd like to know why it takes SOOOO LONG to get any help on the court?? I'm sure there are probably some legal issues with staff helping but it seems the trainers and EMT's are like nowhere to be seen for a long time. At least the one in Miami and the UK, someone was there in a few seconds. But all the others, they lay there screaming in serious pain and people just stand there and look at them. It's up to their opponent to provide any comfort or support. Breaks your heart to see these ladies in such pain.
