(I've only watched up to S2 E5 so there might've been some character development), but I do think by far John is the worst

Yes, it’s just you. Cause John was insufferable & still to this day is insufferable just thinking about him. Killing Anna was unforgivable. She was such a good & wholesome character. I wanted her to last at least the entirety of the show. Stupid John. I’ll never forgive him for that. Still the saddest scene in TVD for me are Anna’s death & when Anna gets reunited with Pearl where they’re ghost even though it was a short scene, both scenes made me cry because of how wholesome & how perfectly written it was.
His action with taking the blood with such force, could have resulted in a miscarriage. His hate consumed him. I actually really dislike Matt! With his hollier then thou attitude, shame they didnt killed him of.
Yes Tyler is a good guy and his anger towards Klaus is totally justified but no matter your reasons, kidnapping someone and trying to kill their child is wrong.

Vicky shouldn't be higher then her mother. Lily Salvatore must be on the list. Caroline's Dad shouldn't be above John who shouldn't be #1. #1 should be Sybil or Julian
Vicky was a teenager when she died. She was murdered because Damon got bored and then like everyone else, did not transition smoothly. She really was not that bad. There was that one point after she died where she was kind of a jerk but she just wanted to live. She loved Matt so much. She and Matt had to raise themselves and were incredibly poor. They deserved better childhoods. People do not have to like them but they were really screwed over. They both could have been much better people and more interesting characters but they were set up in life to fail and were not nearly as gross and awful as they are made out to be. Kelly was a grown adult who took advantage of a grieving teenage boy. She is the only Donovan who really deserves hatred. I hate John. He murdered Anna. He deserved a much more painful ending. That being said, he sacrificed himself for his daughter in a way that ended up not mattering. Every character in this show is horrible and has killed. Most of the them have killed without reason. He is kind of forgettable as an antagonist but is far from the worst.
At least with Tyler, it's kind of justified because Klaus did express heavy interest and had sex with Caroline when he knew Tyler was still very much in love with her, then killed all of Tyler's wolf pack friends followed his mother on Christmas. Granted, Tyler threatening to kill Hope when Hayley is clearly pleading for him not to hurt an unborn child followed by Tyler using "I can kill your Hope" as leverage for what you did to me is wrong. Really Klaus had no choice but to do what he did and Tyler's lucky Klaus didn't kill him considering Klaus has killed numerous people for much less. Like I said, with Tyler he has a reason for his terrible actions but saying "I'm going to kill your unborn child" is extremely wrong.

Because he acts like a supremacist with his anti vampire mentality. It gets annoying, boring & sickening when he mentions it a billion times … & every time he’s shown. It becomes super obsessive of him that it annoyed the whole audience, that’s like me hating bees & then every time you see me I’m saying how I hate bees & how wrong they are in the world, like “shut up, get over it & get a grip already”, he always acted like he was better than them or that he could take em when in reality he couldn’t.

Nah, Matt always fought for his sister's dignity.. he truly loved her and when she died he didn't have anything left to do but to avenge his sister.. so he didn't ruin the moments in vain.. Well, when Matt cries he tears my heart the most and he was part of the fam so we can't hate him. As for Tyler, what has he done that made him the worst. Actually he was a good backup for his friends he would always come up with a plan to save his friends, he was a loyal friend and also he's part of the fam so yeah we love him
Tyler's anger towards Klaus was justified considering everything Klaus has done to him but in case you haven't watched the Originals, Tyler kidnapped Hayley and tried to kill her unborn child. So I'd say he has done something that could possibly make him one among the worst characters.

No, I think it was because he tried to r*pe Vicki in season 1 when she told him no multiple times, he may have been drunk like Vicki tried to say to defend him but that’s no excuse. Ever since, most fans haven’t forgiven him even though they’ve forgiven Damon which was implied that he r*ped Caroline in season 1 by compelling her & abusing her & then does the exact same thing later on with Andie which is just swept under the rug & yet the fans say “oh but he was different then, his humanity was off” & all those bogus excuses.
I don't know why everyone's hating on Matt. I mean he lost his sister to vampires, his parents left him, everyone he related to either became vampires or dead, his family wasn't included in the founding families. And still people hate on him for hating the vampires lol. Great logic
Maybe because half way through the series he became useless and a little too self righteous like John, since he was the only human in the group he should’ve been the main person trying to get out of mystic falls and actually get away from supernatural drama he claimed he didn’t like vampires but half of his friends were vampires and he continued to stay in a town where vampires continually kept coming in and out of his character didn’t make sense.

Half the characters on here are the ones who didn't like vampires or didn't like one of the popular main characters, which goes to show how good these shows were at memeing fans into thinking of good as evil and evil as good. (And like super obvious evil too - its usually just serial killers who don't do anything for people besides their family and friends being portrayed as misunderstood victims for normal people trying to defend the helpless shown as judgmental jackasses).

Isn't it funny how EVERYONE LOVES Damon coz he SUFFERED A LOT and hence was bad but everybody hates Sybil even tho she (too) was wronged in her childhood. 🤷🏻♀️ She didn't want to be evil in the first place. Even she had A TRAGIC PAST. Stop with this hypocrisy. Damon can kill anyone, sexually assault anyone, and still everyone will find some illogical explanation to justify it whereas Sybil is getting all the hate unnecessarily. If Sybil was wrong or terrible, so was Damon, Klaus (even tho I love him more than anyone), Elena, and even Elijah sometimes (behind the red door scenes)🤷🏻♀️
I actually love Sybil as a character and don't get why she gets all the hate. You know I did hate John Gilbert for a while especially after he killed Anna but I cried when he died and I actually felt kinda bad for him. I didn't hate any of the other charecters and I also mourned Isobel for a while so can't really say I agree. The great thing about tvd in my opinion is that is has such great charecter development for both heroes and villains that I personally couldn't hate any charecter at some point at all. I mean now I can but the only charecter I hate from tvd alone honestly is Alaric and he was one of my favorites before half of season 7 + part of the reason I hate him is because of him in the originals and legacies. This is a great element that the originals doesn't have because while tvd manages to stop you from hating every charecter at some point the originals has so many trash charecters that are immposible not to hate such as Vincent, Davina, Monique, Greta, Roman, Jackson, Mary and witches in the show in general, it also has the amazing Mikealson family who all managed to be very annoying at times and then there are ok charecters who could be extremely annoying at times such as Hayley, Marcel, Cami and so on. Do a top 10 worst the originals charecters list because that would make more sense.

How do you have Tyler on here but not Elena? Her annoyance factor alone would warrant it but look at how many people she betrayed throughout the series. Not to mention playing Damon and Stefan off each other. And let's look at Damon. How is he not in this list? Or Klaus even? Both of them are far worse than Sybil or Selene or ESPECIALLY Tyler and yet neither made it on here. Also, Kelly Donovan she wasn't a great mom but she loved her kids and Matt threw her over for the others. The only thing I fault her for was almost killing the girls & Bonnie.
I’d remove Tyler but not Matt, I personally think Matt should have been number 1 or 2, the thing is that he’s just annoying, he thinks he’s so powerful and thinks he can take on originals. He acts like Elena with her humanity off.
I honestly didn’t hate Matt. Yea he got annoying at times but think about it. he was basically the only human in the show and his friends were all fake to him. season 7 and 8 Matt were awful but in the earlier seasons, I think he just needed a friend to relate to. but I respect your opinion :)

For me, Caroline is the worst character of the entire series. I liked very much the Show, but a character so boring like Caroline having a big importance, is a let down for me.
