According to what is known about Halo: Chronicles, it would have been a very wild game. One part of the game would involve the player transforming into a missle and fighting covenant ships in low orbit. Also to correct you District 9 was made after the Halo movie was canceled, because the movie was supposed to coincide with the game. District 9 I believe is very different.

I have a recommendation. When reading a script, talk more like this: 19:33-20:26 Your voice here sounds much more genuine and consistent in speed and cadence. Your scripted voice is kind of hard to listen to because it slurs and drags a bunch. I know it can be hard trying to get comfortable talking in a microphone in front of a bunch of people, but it’s a bit jarring hearing your voice speak at a proper and eloquent pace at the very end while your predominantly used voiceover is much more inferior sounding. Just a thought. I still really enjoy your videos either way and hope you continue moving forward. Best of luck to you. :)

Note on Super Mario Spikers; I swear I’ve seen GIFs of the unused wrestling animations. I think there were animations of Yoshi body slamming another Yoshi, a shy guy and Waluigi. I can’t remember when I saw them or where though.

Hey, there. Love your videos. I wanted to point out real quick that you occasionally leave misleading info, which I assume you do to add uncertainty and a sense of mystery, but I don't think it's necessary. Examples include; 11:43 "Any builds of the full game" So P.T. was more of a pitch for the idea of Silent Hills. Yes, it is likely KojiPro would use the same engine for the full game, but they were still busy finishing MGS5 when P.T. was released. Kojima was booted out of Konami shortly after MGS5 went gold, so its highly likely his team never got the chance to start on Silent Hills. The possibility of an archived early game build is unlikely, let alone a full game build, which is not realistic. 16:39 "Was developed by Rare" and 17:20 "So development [...] is not well understood" In regards Banjo Threeie, the namedrop in Tooie was a joke according to Rare devs. Obviously, there was a possibility Rare would eventually start a project called Banjo Threeie, but as stated in the Greg Mayles tweet you mentioned (17:12), Threeie was never started. On the topic of Banjo X (17:31), Rare devs have confirmed in interviews and tweets that Banjo X was to be an Xbox remake of Banjo Kazooie ala Resident Evil (2002), rather than a Banjo Threeie. I know these are nitpicks, and really, you're free to disregard this comment, but I think sharpening up the script would not hurt, and would go a long way in increasing video quality and longevity. Someone mentioned it, but there are test animations of Mario Spikers online. One of them is for a character body slamming another, and there's one for a character piledriving / suplexing another. They're pretty intense, even for a Strikers style game, and I can see why Nintendo got cold feet.

A bit disappointed that you didn't talk about nor mentioned Earthbound 64. That game is like the holy grail of cancelled videogames.

There was this game trailer that was released several years ago and it was basically a Las Vegas sim mixed with GTA. You could gamble and steal cars and essentially just GTA in Vegas. I think it was canceled cause it was never released. Hopefully you could feature that in another video.

Silent hills… what could’ve been

There was one game from around 2008 - 2009 that had an awesome trailer and looked really good. I'm pretty sure it was called "Prey 2". Unfortunately, it got canceled.

Much as I'd love to see the leaked build of Doom 4 I'm really glad we got what we got rather than the scripted sequence heavy CoD inspired game Doom 4 was alleged to have been. Doom becoming that would have been a bigger stain on the fps genre than what happened to Duke Nukem and it's hard to not see that as having dodged a bullet.

Vox had a whole documentary series called “Borders”. I think the show was cancelled and subsequently a whole season of the show is hidden away

Distrust (The Daganronpa Beta) was fully completed and shown off before being reworked into Daganronpa. Id love to search for it, but id need a japaense translator currently we have some concept art, slides from when the game was presented, leons orginal exuction, and a beta case (at least the closing agurmentbportion) for a case inolving junko murdering kirigri. So the game definitl existed at some point. nis america would have jever gotten a hold of ir, maybe I can try spike chunsoft?

Another game I'd add would be the attempted darkstalkers reboot from 2012. Capcom only ever showed a teaser at nycc but the only footage that exists is from audience recordings. If capcom ever worked on it at all they've never shared anything of it, even the trailer itself officially.

Ghosts N' Goblins 64 became Maximo: Ghosts to Glory. So, it eventually did come out. Just reworked a bit and renamed to reflect the changes to the classic formula.

Actually a lot of copies of PT still exist. Sony didn't retroactively uninstall it from your PlayStation if you already have it. You just can't replace it if you delete it, and you can't get it on a new PlayStation. But if you have it, you have. You can even buy a PlayStation with it installed on it for obseen amounts of dollars on internet

Id say the strickers game was scrapped because it literally looked like the Mario version of Sega soccer slam back in the day. Literally same mechanics and gameplay, from the looks of it.

My favorite most recent games that got cancelled were Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex and Lawbreakers. Edit: BTW now that I think of it, whatever happened to S&M Slaughter & Mutilation for PSX? That game looked like a different studio's version of Time Killers/Thrill Kill they were going to release because Thrill Kill got pulled just before release (speaking of which, did any retail copies of Thrill Kill actually make it out as they mass-produced the game and had it ready to go for release but then obviously destroyed when the game got pulled because the publisher had a knee-jerk reaction of possible backlash from stay-at-home mom Karens. I know the disk image exists on the interwebs but I'm wondering if anyone actually got their hands on one of the retail copies that survived not being destroyed)?
