@MsMojo, The Valentine's episode where they were supposed to go to Switzerland but Penny and Sheldon both got the flu. And, the episode where the girls went to Disneyland and dressed up as the Princesses were my favorite episodes. And the slumber party one was always a favorite too. Anyone else think narrarators were annoying in episodes where they said what the characters did? My parents hated that. They did that on Arthur too.

Howard was an idiot for refusing to read it. He was being an asshole and willfully ignorant. The letter could have been a huge revelation. One of the best aspects of the show addressing bullying was how they showed that everyone is a bully at some point, even if they don’t realize what they are doing is bullying. The episode where Penny brought Zack over was a perfect example. On the surface, Zack was very similar to the good-looking, popular kids who had tormented the guys their entire lives. But while Zack was definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed, he genuinely liked the group and really appreciated hanging out with the Science Guys. So when the guys used the opportunity to repeatedly belittle him, Penny rightly called them out as hypocrites. The guys apologized, and Zack became one of the group’s peripheral friends.

And the situation itself is super cheesy, a couple winning the Nobel Prize and giving emotional speeches addressing their friends and saying things that belong to them alone and not the hundreds of strangers … Wow. Couldn’t have been more over the top, could it? And the message over all is basically "You’re a nerd who is socially awkward and weird? Amy having a breakdown ahead of the announcement of the Nobel prize winners, and scared of being the voice of women in science as the 4th woman to win a Nobel in physics. 3. sheldon being scared of physical intimacy in the season 8 prom episode when penny and leonard tells him a lot of people lose their virginities on prom nights. 4. when leonard said he loved penny and she wasn’t ready for that conversation yet, it really showed how different the both of them handled relationships in the past and that both had a different relationship timeline. it has been discussed too when they had intercourse in season 5 and he proposes. 5. sheldon leaving the building at the end of season 7 when too many things changes were happening. 6. money issues of both penny and raj. penny was in debt that has only been covered in season 11 after years of working as a pharmaceutical sales representative, a job she doesn’t like. and raj deciding to be independent. 7. the group wants to go to Comic-Con but raj can’t afford going with them 8. penny confronts Howard about being a creep by telling him he’s gonna die alone 9. penny regrets breaking up with Leonard when he starts dating priya at the end of season 4 10. amy being bullied and having no friends before meeting sheldon. i love this video, just finished the show two days ago and I’m still in pain 😭

Sheldon was studying in Germany with his mother, and when they arrived in Texas, Mary dressed up in a sexy German Dirndl outfit with a blond wig. when Sheldon came back home from the university, he walked in a saw blond hair. The whole “choosing not to have kids” issue would have been better made if one of the women actually didn’t have children, when they all ended up having children. So really the subtle message is “you’ll change your mind and have kids.”
@andreil1313
@andreil1313 10 месяцев назад
I'm a woman and I don't want kids, I don't see an issue with their stories either.. Bernadette didn't want children because she was worried about her career and because she didn't want to do it alone basically, but Howard is a good father (even though he should do more around the house in general) and Penny has commitment issues, she didn't want to have children the moment the reality of it really hit her. Honestly I was super happy when she turned out pregnant in the finale

@@andreil1313since not wanting to have kids is against our main purpose, they (scientist) came with explanation to every reason why we women dont want kids. So by your logic every woman should overcome her reason to not wanting a kids and have them.

The episode where the gang throws Sheldon a surprise birthday party, and Sheldon gets overwhelmed. His twin would invite her friends and they would gang up on Sheldon, while nobody sheldon invited ever came. Penny goes to comfort Sheldon and realizes that she, as a young girl, would've probably picked on Sheldon like his twin sister & her friends. Then she tells Sheldon that he is one of her dearest friends

They should have let Bernadette remain childfree. Instead, they reinforced the damaging narrative that women will change their minds if the right man comes along. This causes damage to our rights to bodily autonomy, because it reinforces restrictions and/or requirements before a woman can receive a sterilization procedure. Women should not have to get their partner’s permission or have to wait until they reach a certain age and/or have a certain number of kids before having access to a tubal ligation. If men don’t have to jump through these hoops to get a vasectomy, women shouldn’t have to jump through them to get THEIR sterilization procedures either, especially when hormonal forms of contraception are damaging to women’s bodies. Bodily autonomy is a fundamental human right for EVERYONE, and a woman’s right to be childfree needs to be respected and NORMALIZED. The men who wrote for this show did a poor job of supporting women’s rights NEVER to have children. Badly done.

The fact that Sheldon's friends stuck by and put up with him for as long as they did, shows that to them he was also a person and that they cared about him. He could be insufferable, socially naive, blunt, and matter of fact, but he also cared about them, even if he showed it in a more logical rather than emotional sense.

When I was younger I couldn't really get the relief Leonard had when he decided to forgive his mom. A few rough years later one day this scene suddenly hit too close to home when I was rewatching it that I burst into tears. I also decided to forgive my emotionally abusive mom because I love her and because I think I deserve better. I love this show

What still surprises me about TBBT is the fact that the writers did not have Leonard and Penny go through a divorce to show what that would have been like for the group along for Leonard and Penny. For as many times that it was noticeable that there was love and closeness between Leonard and Penny, I do feel that there were just as many times throughout the series if not more that it was shown that Penny never cared nearly enough about Leonard as much as Leonard cared about her. It almost seemed like that especially after Penny and Leonard were married, that there was always this underlying thing that showed Penny was with Leonard simply because she could not get another guy like Zack or even Zack himself. Meaning, Penny was feeling like she settled with Leonard when she wanted more than Leonard.

Bcuz they've shown Leonard would never leave her forever and tht the friends have no issue hanging with both but they are Leonard's friends....she's a heavily embedded extension without the relationship

I think they could have explored further however Jim Parsons wanted to move on so they ended it on a very positive note rather than have Parsons move on, everyone move out to suburbia, and deal with middle life and later life issues such as divorce or even the death of their friends.

I really liked how the president was changed slowly from annoyed to SO supportive of the group, and especially Sheldon and Amy, at the end, due to their physics progress, scientific breakthroughs, and publishing while at Cal-Tech. He wasn't just "the Dean" college trope. They are bringing in the big bucks, so why wouldn't they begin to achieve real accommodation..? In a world of caricatures, both series seem to have a good handle on consistent, realistic personalities.
