Fantastic list, Sebastian! I love the scent of vetiver. Another one I love is Frederic Malle's French Lover (aka Bois D'Orage). I think they nailed the scent of woods and tall dry grass after a rain on that one. Thanks for the video!

Of those mentioned, my favorite is Bal d'Afrique. Recently tried Incident Diplomatique, really nice scent. Ordered a sample after watching one of your previous videos. I need to try Vetiver Geranium, it's one of the Creed's I haven't tried.

There are quite some gems in here. I love Sycomore as an all time favourite but for the vetiver I go to Vetiver Extraordinaire, which is absolutely brilliant. I find that Nishane's Sultan Vetiver has perhaps the strongest (and dirtiest?) vetiver. Definitely one to try if you haven't.

Creed, Hermes, Miller Harris and Diptyque are my favourite vetiver. Pleasantly surprised to see the diptyque at the end of the video after I'd posted my comment: for me it's incredible and has a beautiful warmth, it reminds me of Creeds OV but at a better price and has more natural vetiver in it(according to the man in Liberty London who I spoke to today)

I had the same with Vetyverio edp from Diptique. i bought as soon as it came out and it was oke but i was not impressed. Now im starting to wear again and I think this is one of those that you have to give more time to appreciate its beauty.

I know this video isn’t recent but I’m loving Creed Vetiver & Geranium....it’s just amazing!! Fresh w/a little citrus, spice, & most importantly, a really interesting green/herbal base which is hard to find in a fragrance. Best of all, as a woman, I can wear this one as I think it’s very unisex. You’ve also mentioned a lot of other great vetivers here that I would enjoy trying as well- many thanks!!👍🏻

Vetiver is very appropriate in hot and humid weather we have here. So, naturally, it's one of my favorite notes and I have several Vetiver dominant bottles: Grey Vetiver, Vetiverus, Encre Noir (hate the L'Extreme though : ), Vetiver Fatal, I'm sure I am forgetting 1 or 2 more. Nuit de Megeve is very good but found it similar enough to Vetiver Fatal. Similarly, I find Sel de Vetiver and Vetiverus quite close to have them both in my collection. For some reason, Jovoy releases gives me a headache whenever I try them. Vetiver Geranium gives me a more feminine vibe than Bal d'Afrique. Vetyverio did not make much of an impression when I tested it. Would love to try the boozy ones and the Tauer from your list! Thanks for sharing your TOP 20 list to us!

The Guerlains you mention I have worn since 1972; I have also another by that house- Vetiver 'l'eau glacée' , a delicious perfume rather less spicy but more herbal and "cool". Not available in UK for years- my flaçon dates from 2010.

A great diversity of styles as always! I love "Private Label" - definitely a powerhouse fragrance! I'd add a few to the list: "Itasca" by Lubin, "Timbuktu" by L'Artisan Parfumeur, "Essence N°6: Vetiver" by Elie Saab and "König" by Yosh.

Hey Seb! Great video as always, I always love your Vetiver lists because as you may know, it's probably my favorite note. I have Dior Vetiver, Guerlain Vetiver, Vetiver Geranium, Encre Noir and Extreme, Grey Vetiver and Vetiver Extraordinaire. I was thinking about Sycomore of course, but not sure as it's so close to Encre Noir? Currently wouldn't mind a middle of the road Vetiver, somewhere between Sycomore and Guerlain Vetiver? Is Bruno Fazzolari Vetiverissimo like this?

You are right re Sycomore and Guerlain Vetiver. More Guerlain than Sycomore though but closely. Sycomore is also close to Encre Noire Extreme.

My vetiver collection currently has Megeve, Dunhill Icon, Terre EDT and EDP, Grey Vetiver, Encre Noir Extreme, FM vetiver and Bal D’Afrique. They are all magical. But for me, Megeve is the most perfect combination of all factors.

Guerlain's Vetiver is one I so far don't like much, because (at least on paper) reminds me strongly of "alginate", a chemical used by dentists. I must try it (Guerlain's Vetiver) on skin to still give it the benefit of the doubt. Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver is missing in action here, as well as Terre D'Hermes. Recently tested Encre Noire on skin, surprised to see it starts quite shiny, as if it was particularly oily. Smells wonderful, and quite darker/more mysterious than I had perceived on the paper strips. Don't own it yet, but easily with Terre D'Hermes my favorite vetivers.

Just tried Jovoy's Incident Diplomatique for the first time and find it utterly amazing-I'm obsessed and need a FB immediately. How big a role does Vetiver play in this fragrance? I'm currently wearing Tauer's Vetiver Dance and I'm loving it as well- the projection/Sillage!

amazing list - my favorite note. Classic Guerlain, Sycomore, Encre Noire and Vetiver Royal Bourbon are all favorites. There's a Serge Lutens vetiver - Vetiver Oriental that is interesting but ultimately not a favorite.

I don't have too much experience with DIA but I see that it has vetiver in the notes. So most likely it's also very dominant so yes I would consider from seeing and reading about it but would have to smell it again to say 100% it is a vetiver! :)

Do you know about those 2 VETIVER fragrances. I have red a few good reviews about them, and I am wondering which one to choose: NISHANE/ sultan vetiver or Masque Milano Hemmingway which is said to contain 3 kinds of Vetiver?... Are you familiar with those 2? Incident diplomatique looks very tempting...? I have Guerlain's and Hermes Terre perfume, but I am looking for something stronger and longer lasting. Thank you.

📢 18:07 *How come some other fragrance reviewers say they don't smell actual vetiver in Creed's Vetiver Geranium, and vetiver is also not listed in the note list??* So, is there actual vetiver in it, or does the entire blend make it smelll like vetiver? I'm trying to learn, plus I own Vetiver Geraium, and it is my favorite so far in my fragrance journey!
