thanks steve .. just bought a dozen of the wilson raw .. no paint balls .. well worth trying... i swing about 95 mph or so .. maybe a little higher sometimes... usual ball is the chrome soft

Appreciate this video. I’ve been playing left dash for over a year now due to the awesome feel and lower spin. But I’m not a super good player and lose about 2-5 per round so it gets expensive. Been trying to find something but nothing has come close. I’ll try these maxfli. Thanks Steve

Spalding SD Tour X at $20 a dozen. Great three piece ball! 95 compression. Excellent distance and stopping power. Fantastic greenside spin. Also available in non X at 85 compression. Trust me. 4hcp

For a great DTC brand, try Trust --the Bison series covers the entire array of swing speeds. I've tried the Bison X and the Bison XL. There is no loss in distance and has all the feel of the "premium" line of balls. My bag is stocked, and it will be the ball I play until something can convince me otherwise, for a comparable price.

I really don't know if I can tell the difference but I have a fairly high swing speed for an old guy and I use the Snell MTB black. Works well for me.

I think it’s a great ball. Might be the most underrated ball. But I’m fine with that because I still can’t get the 6 dozen value deal anymore

Mizuno RB tour is pretty good. Just not much of a drop in price compared to the other tour balls.

Played a Tour Response side by side with my usual prov . Hardly noticed any difference except price. I got 3 dozen TR on sale for $50. ❤️

The TR just won't spin as well. Where you'll notice it is pitch shots out to 80 yards or so.

I just tried the Kirkland balls for the first time last Sunday. I have a very high swing speed and when I hit with the driver, they spun way too much for me

Vice golf balls are not widely available in Australia unfortunately. Callaway Chrome Soft are my pick when avoiding the Pro V1 price tag. No matter what you do though, you still come up against the "Australia Tax". Everything is significantly more expensive here.

I discovered a Pinnacle in the woods one day. I had been playing the Titlest Pro V1X. My swing speed is in the mid to high 80's is all. I realized that I could hit this cheap little Pinnacle ($20/dozen) 10-15 yards farther than my Titlest. I'm a single digit handicapper, a senior, and believe me, I reveled in the added distance I thought I had lost with age.

Thanks. Not sure it's available in the US, but in europe we have a chain of sports shops called Decathlon and their golf brand is Inesis.To me it does worth it to have a look at their products. Balls are of 3 quality levels, 100, 500 and 900 to name them. Low price balls 100 are around 6$ a dozen, 15$ a dozen for the 500 and roughly 33 for the 900...

Thank you Steve. I just picked up on sale at Golf Town up north here some TP5x for approx $US 33.00 a dozen - last year model. I'm about 105-110 SS played ProV1s but looking to save some $$ but can't go wrong, looking forward to trying them out.

Steve, in the first category (slower swinger) which ball is your top pick, assuming price isn’t a concern? I tried the value Kirkland but kept getting too much curve off the driver and didn’t notice a lot more bite around the greens. I don’t mind paying more for golf balls if I know they’ll help lower my score and match my swing speed…

Pro V1 is the best ball for even slow swingers. They've proven that even at 70 mph the ball gets compressed just fine.

Steve, is the pro V1X left dash the go to ball for high speeds, higher flight, and low spin? The biggest thing for me is keeping spin down on my driver and longer fairway clubs. Any cheaper options like the left dash that are low spin?

Kinda surprised you didn’t review the Snell MTB Black. I think it’s a great value. It performs just as good as the Pro v1 off the tee and very good around the greens. For my handicap of 15 the Pro V1 has too much spin near the green. A really good value is the Snell GET SUM 2 piece ball. Snell has been having trouble keeping them in stock because the value is too to pass up. My friend and I have been following you for a couple years now and really appreciate the video instruction. We’ve both realized a few more yards.

I've been hitting the Snell MTB-X into a net over the Winter, with a launch monitor measuring ball speeds. Ball speeds have been pretty good and I'm looking forward to playing them this spring.

I only need to be super long 12-14 swings per round. The rest of the time I need to hit a specific distance. I definitely do not want spin since the greens I play are irrigated and not US Open rock hard. The Precept or E6 or Zip all hit the green and remain there. They don't hit near the flag and suck back 8 yards. Yikes.

We need a review of the REAL budget balls. Nitro Top flight Pinnacle Noodle Chaos I don’t play these balls but I find them all over every golf course. Would be neat to see how they stack up against the big names.

Im an Amateur golfer, a senior, and in love with the game. I drive about 170 accurately, and can slice around a dogleg ( right handed) about the same. Fairways I can hit a 3 or 4 iron or hybrid about the same. I know my short irons and wedges distances and hit them the best: 60°= 50yds; 56°= 60yds, 52°= 75yds°; 48° (modern PW)= 90yds, etc. which puts me on the green. Spin? Does nothing for me, nor for most golfers. Balls, I rarely lose, maybe one or two per 18 holes. I want a ball that can come out of the sand and still be perfect without damage. I like Noodle, also TopFlite Bomb. Spin? Not very, but who really puts alot of spin on their ball to much real utility? Not me. Great review for those who can spin. Good times.
