spent 500 on one recently, with bayonet and strap and cleaning kit. made my eye twitch as i remember buying my first one with all of that for 70 bucks. thanks obama
That is a very solid list honestly. I would love any of those rifles haha I like the idea of a 'under 300' video. Carcano, Mannlicher, Vetterli, Enfields, gras, sporter rifles, 22LR training guns, various mausers, ect
Slow down a bit as you talk too fast alot. When you reference the business/firearms dealer at minute mark 4:18, I can't even understand what you are saying. I think you are trying to say edelweiss arms, but practically all decent swiss long arms at edelweiss arms are going to be well over the price range of $400-$600 you reference. Also, I wish you would stop plugging RTI as they sell a lot of junk. You even have videos showing where RTI sells junk.
Love Swiss straight pulls. 7.5 Swiss 7.5x55 is an awesome round. I used one on a deer hunt in the valley in 2021. Soft point 7.5 Swiss and the deer drops. Granted we’re talking the woods so shots are within 100 yards or less, much less. I LOVE K31’s. Reminds me of growing up when everyone in school had to have k Swiss shoes. As adults, have to have Swiss K rifles.
If you've never had a Portuguese verguero model 1904/39, I highly recommend one. It's a really cool rifle and the example I have is just about the most buttery smooth action I've ever encountered. Kind of a cross between a Mauser and a mannlicher rifle. Originally in 6.5 Portuguese but later chambered in 8mm Mauser.
I recently found one on Gunbroker going for $425 as the starting bid. I am new to gun collecting and don't know if anyone was looking for one. It only has 2 days left in the bidding. What sites would you recommend for a new gun collector like me, as I don't like bidding and tend to be outbid by a lot of money?
@@gearxrust2360 Atlantic Firearms Simpson LTD J&G sales Royal Tiger imports (be careful with that one) Old Western Scrounger Hunters lodge (be careful with this one as well) AIM surplus Centerfire systems Classic firearms Century Arms
The CZs are the best deal for a mil surp pistol out there especially the CZ-52s. The Czech army used them for decades but I dont think they saw much combat or abuse and spent most of there lives in armorys and holsters because they are probably the nicest Mil Surp pistols I have ever seen.
Have you gotten a Portuguse M937B K98 yet? These are some really nice rifles, I have a few of them. and all with good bores and and in very good condition. I think it would be a good video. I estimate that only 600 of these rifles were imported.
ed device arms? man you have got to speak clearly so someone can understand you that website that lists rifles individually sounds amazing but i dont think even the cc knows what you are saying
Great list. Definitely on the Swiss and Italian rifles. I finally rolled the dice with RTI and purchased a M 38 Carcano. They now list many of them individually so you can see what you are getting. Now to find some ammunition for it.
My local gun store got a lot of Portuguese Mausers in a month ago and they only want $449 for them. I was there last week and they had 20 on the shelf and said they had more in the back. I got one a month ago and might grab another one.
Just was at a show last weekend and one guy had a 1931 made M1916 Spanish Mauser in 7mm for $275. Unfortunately I couldn't justify getting it, maybe I'll be lucky and it's on the table in January when I go next time.
You’re in Ohio too there are some great shows to find good milsurps there when I visited i picked up a type 99 Arisaka with mum for 300 out the door. Plus my ffl fee of course
Yeah, I live in the Cleveland/Medina area and all we got gun show wise that I'm willing to travel are the ones in Berea and Medina. Lorain County Fairgrounds had one, but Covid killed the return of it since I haven't seen anything since then unless they moved it somewhere else.
I have a Russian Makarov Pistol and would recommend one or the Bulgarian model if you can afford one… 9x18 is very close to 380auto and the ammunition isn’t that expensive
I was lucky to get my Mosin' s for 89.00band my K31 for 249.00. 149.00 for my Carcano Cavalry Carbines. Found a 91/30 sniper minus the scope but it still has the mount for 275.00 at an estate sale.
be carful w tokarovs the safeties are dangerous because it only blocks trigger NOT sear or hammer and not fire pin block and half cock worthless carry empty, i dropped one and it shot me with safety on and all safties failed
Mine shoots really low too. I have to put the base below the blade of the front sight in the rear notch to make it shoot to point of aim. Really disappointing. I would have expected more out of the Germans.
I got the first m937b centerfire sold stared at the website for days waiting for them to come online lol the individual listings with matching bayonets. I got a perfectly blued rifle with a couple dents and dings on the stock. But all markings are present amazing piece.
Went to my 2nd gun show and I traded a s&w model 17 (Brazilian contract) for a swedish mauser which I've been wanting for awhile so im pretty happy with my trade
Some good choices for todays market. Always try to go to small town gun shows. That's where the best deals on surplus are in my experience. Picked up a nice 1898 Krag with a great bore for $450 two weekends ago.
I'm not paying more than $250- for any guns, more than that they can keep them. If all the smart americans do that, those rip-off prices will go down immediately
