So what I'm taking away from this, and the comments, is that there is no wrong answers here- the TUZ is a heavy duty beast, the Loadstar is deceptively quick, the 750 can stand in for dedicated trucks, and the YAR can go just about anywhere
@Realistic Farming videos I know, but it should have been in snowrunner too, I have always hated the H2, because they have shitty ground clearance. They were designed as a pavement princess for rich people who wanted a “4x4”. And the H2 is ugly.
Nice comparison, but could you add something more "real life" scenario as well? For example do the container mission on Taymyr, and let's see which one wins. That would be a lot more meaningful than only testing ground races. Just my two cents...
You literally can't do the container mission with this comparison because it's not meant for scout trucks. The Tartarin can't even carry cargo and I can't remember off the top if my head if the Yar can either. What's the point of a test that only half the trucks being compared can even do?
@@ryanbrodeur5105 You can do the contest using a scout or truck trailer. This limits the Tatarin as you can't load/unload the container but you can winch the trailer from behind.
Fuel autonomy of the F750 goes much further, there's 180 in the custom pickup bed, 50 in the utility mount and another 100 or something in the roof rack. It's my favorite support truck for restoring trucks

after Playing Imandra and LakeKovd I can tell that Yar is pretty awesome due to its ability to pull the exploration trailer and having snow chains. The TUZ is just awesome as long as you dont need trailers or it comes to driving over Ice, thats just deadly The Ford is tippy as hell when you fully upgrade the suspension, so my US favorite is still the Loadstar
Agreed! The one thing i love about playing with ALL the vehicles though, is that there is alot of nuance that makes them all suited to certain task! Sure you get a truck which is an all-rounder, but the task specific trucks are great in the right situation!
@@digitalcamaro9708 with the highest suspension its pretty easy to tip, e.g. in Yukon if You drive next to the river in the top left corner. Also, bumpy truck trailer tend to tip the truck over if they tip
these tests are always dumb lol, the apc almost never gets stuck and thus wins be default. the utility and towing capability of ford is unmatched by any other scout
Tuz 420 has no snorkel so would fail on longer deep water crossings, but it pushes through quicker so often survives the water crossings. Tuz is also super stable over rough terrain, but I suppose it's also about picking the right scout for what you intend to tackle. I'm certainly going to start using the YAR 87 more though.
Yeah I kinda thought these tests were a joke. There were no heavy hailing tests, the tuz 420 should have minus a few points since you can't attach trailers and it doesn't have a snorkel so it'll take damage in water, plus the ford can haul bigger trailers so he should have done some recovery test using these to pull out bigger vehicles and bigger heavier trailers. The ford and loadstar are built for that. The other two are better for scouting, but the yar 87 is better in water and ice than the tuz 420
@@tylergovero8551 that said I must say I'm often able to just connect the Tuz's winch to many trailers and quite ably pull them along. Also ice roads are reasonably OK and just travelling up the side on many ice road hills is OK too. Have been finding the short wheelbase scouts tend to be very prone to rolling. But still shows you can't go alone on what the specs say.
750 might not be the “best” in these test but it’s just too versatile at doing almost anything you want with it the only thing I t absolutely will not do is haul a semi trailer I’d say that a fair trade for being able to get upgrades and watch towers with virtually limitless fuel or haul large trailers for cargo or rescue whatever you need it’s got it
when it comes to sheer mud there is nothing like the tatarin i have yet to see a scout vehicle stay in 4th gear through mud it helps is heavy and has 8 wheels
Those 4 are probaly the best scout in the game(without mod), but somehow these russian trucks/scouts had impressive power to weight than the western counterpart lol
While they tried to fit the vehicles similar, if you want endurance you'd use the other box on the F750. when fitted for exploration it carries something like 450 liters of fuel.
These vids are laughable. The TUZ can be left in auto and goes through virtually anything in top gear without skipping a beat. It tows trailers effortlessly and embarrasses any of the other scouts in overall capability. It just wont win a drag race which is what half these pointless comparisons show.

Именно поэтому Tatarin в этом рейтинге занимает всего лишь третье место. Если бы не все эти гонки (зимой и летом), которые к игре не имеют отношения, то Tatarin был бы выше в рейтинге. What's interesting about this test is that every one has a different powertrain. The YAR is the only one with normal scout transmissions. The loadstar has a truck engine and truck offroad/highrange gearbox, the TUZ has the advanced special like most of the heavy trucks, and the F750 has a custom gearbox with the Freeway's 6 speeds and high with the Snowrunners 3 low ranges.
The YAR is the best all round true "scout", however the Tartarin can do things no other scout can even consider, however half these tests have little to any meaning in the game, speed is useful sometimes, but for real scouting it's not that much use most of the time. Being able to maintain speed through mud using high gear is. The Tartarin will steam straight through most mud, snow etc in auto in top gear.. Also stability is very important and many scouts fail simply because they are so unstable. Try tipping the Tartarin over...it's no impossible, but it's close to it. Want to scout complete new areas? I use the YAR, want to recover something, or go somewhere really difficult? The Tartarin comes out every time.
Loadstar is my old faithful, but it struggles in the yukon and imahandra. The ford does better, but its more my support truck with fuel. The tuz 420 is my drag anything go anywhere. I haven't used the yar.
I very very rarely use scouts but if i did, probably go with the 750 because of the fuel it can carry. My "scout" is the MK38 and can get it pretty much anywhere i want on any map. I even drove it across the lake on the Alaska map. The only thing showing was the top of the intake tube, roof lights, and the tip of the exhaust.
You can attach trailers. The truck ones, which make the ford the best on my book because of versatility. Crane, platform, truck trailers or just 500 repair points and 230 fuel points for long distance exploring.
These tests are well and good as a general ide of how they would perform but it misses what i belives to be 1 of the more important features that defines a scout truck. That would be its ability to get up and around in small spaces. Most of the activitys show here u could just aswell be doing with your cargo haulers. Maybe not your biggest haulers but your mid tier 2 slot cargo trucks could for the most past easily do this. Try get these trucks up the narrow paths to the mountain tops that the games sometimes ask u to go up. Or if u just wanna grab an upgrade there. Maybe the Yar could with its slightly smaller frame then the rest but i doubt it. Even if u come a cross some super heavy mud with a smaller scout u can generally drive around it by driving in betwinn the trees.
Loadstar and F750 are great! I don't care what anybody says...the classic trucks are awesome! Tatarin is great for mud but it can't pull a trailer, handle ice or rocks. Still tons of fun though. Great channel and content! I hope to see more!
I'm pretty sure you didn't used tatarin yet if you think like that. You can use the winch to pull trailers it doesnt get stuck so you won't need to detach it. And ice just go around or use the winch most people use mud tires even if they can use chained because chained tires is absolutely terrible in snow/mud. Never had trouble and I've done every map and it can pull ANYTHING even a flipped coiled tubing semi trailer (66 tons).
There is one truck in the game that seams to be able to handle everything towing scouting due to its roof rack but when it finds a rock it's buggered my mate used it in Don to tow that big trailor I bought a colob and brute forced my way through the swamp with it got the job done 1 hour faster I helped my mate but he didn't help me he went to bed bugger
The best scout is the ANK MK38 Civilian. Available early in game, fast as hell and crosses all terrain with ease. Can haul heavy loads. Sure it's not in 'scouts' class but that's the best vehicle for exploring. The only downside is it runs out of fuel very quickly
Tatarin is a must for the most difficult terrain, sounds great but it is slow and clunky, slow steering, turn radius is awful, not fun to drive. Yar is the best all rounder, ice tires, able to attach trailers, etc, but a little bit wobbly and difficult to control and not that fun to drive. F750 is invaluable with all those repair points and fuel, fun to drive and can go just about anywhere, even top of the mountains. Loadstar follows these from a little behind, but it's very stable on the road and the most fun to drive. Feels really like a small truck. For less difficult maps I always choose loadstar. I rarely use tatarin because of its clunkiness and overpowered feel. Not having chains is plain stupid on the devs side.
The YAR can go everywhere without a trailer, the loadstar can just about pull anything, the Tuz is more for like mud and snow but not for rocks and ice and can't even go in deep water, the F-750 can just about do everything, just not as fast
for the "fuel efficiency" test, i think it would be interesting if you included the amount of fuel each vehicle used during one of the other tests such as the "all-terrain race" This way we get to see a rough example of the avg mpg we can expect
After a few years I still think this is unfair like where did all the hauling go I mean like the trailer up a hill stuff you basically did everything the yar could do
Fun fact is that game has no specialized modern US off-road vehicles as scouts. Are there any IRL? Anyway, TUZ is king when you drive in mud and swamps, it can go through mud like its a paved road. Also, simply tanking rivers is cool too. Sad its not amphibious in Snowrunner. Also best tow truck. Loadstar is a drag racer, dynamics is godlike, love it on maps with more tarmac. The fastest way to scout some Alaska for me. YAR and F750 are more on a universal side, but F750 goes in like a light truck while YAR is pure scout but excels in it.
I'd realy like to see a bushmaster in snowrunner we already have a couple apc i guess beacuse it's built in Australia no bugger apart from Ukraine knows about it
In difficult competitions the winner of the RUS, and in easy ones, it is difficult even to call it a competition, just a test of speed, the USA wins. But is this game about speed? ;)

Speed is not really important in this game and he made 3 races based on speed. Also tuz was the most stable one in the suspension test but he didn't gave the points to the most stable he gave it to the one that finished first. this video is kinda bs and why whould you use tuz on low gear.

the Yar is my favourite for eclusive scouting (the tatarin is so good it's kinda boring) and the Ford is my favourite for more all round missions like truck rescues, refuels and quick one slot deliveries
Used the loadstar over the others all the game long i think when you know the downsides of this truck you can go everywhere you want Imandra Yukon Amur wisconsin Don... the tuz is not fun the yar is too tippy the ford is quite heavy and the loadstar is quit light (i consider it a downside) the autonomus whinch in my opinion is (in a way) what has made me chose the loadstar... the yar beeing heavier the autonomus whinch doesn't work as well as when it's put on the loadstar. It's basically a truck engine in à pickup so it pulls trailer a lot better too
The Yar is capable but the second it tips over your done. With another truck or the autonomous winch, doesn't matter... unless you bring a crane your stuck with your wheels in the air unless you get lucky with the terrain

The only way any of these other vehicles could keep up with the TUZ in points was to keep having speed test with are irrelevant in this game. The TUZ 420 is by far the best and most useful vehicles of all the scouts.
Can't believe people still defend the Loadstar when the F750 is basically better in every way, bar top speed. I'd still take an Acteon if I need a scout with crane though ;)
I hate the F-750 -- it's useless without every upgrade installed and it costs more to get it there. Also it can't pull scout trailers, which is absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, give me a Loadstar every day of the week.

TUZ wins where it matters, off-road. Find the YAR is painfully slow in mud and snow which comprises 50% of these maps, more when scouting. TUZ is also the most stable.
