Great update for anyone watching this later; Funcom just announced an update where you will be able to build inside the Malestrom so you can still do that epic castle build now without worry about the storm destroying it (purges and other stuff might now though).
Dude you just have an eye for this shit when it comes to picking out the places for you to build. You always have amazing scenery. I love all your builds too. Keep up the awesome vids. I really enjoy them, your one of my favorite builders in this game. If not my favorite.
Haha, that first one is where I built my castle :) That location jumps out, so it's not just me. BTW you can keep maelstrom enabled but disable the damage it does.
Any recommendation for a good place with good resources like iron all around it? While I love to build on high mountains....I find that I need a lot of materials and don’t want to travel far for gathering
Actually there are some places in the exiled lands that are rewarded, when climbing on them. Like zur watchtowers in the highlands. Try it 😊 The loot is not that overwhealming but it's ok. Especially when you just started the game and look for a place to build, having no stuff with you etc
I love exploring, but I don't dislike seeing other gamers have a look around and see their perspective. Edit. You dont need to mess with those weird foundationa for building on trees. There is a special tree foundation that doesnt need support from the ground and has 6 connection points
By that logic, mike was lame i guess? Just kidding. But gportal has been 9999x better than nitrado over the years. Nitrado to my knowledge has randomly deleted peoples servers and saves. Gportal never did that. And when i contacted cusomers support at gportal (without telling them im sponsored by them) ive recieved great help. Their site has been hard to understand though. Im no longer payed by gportal since i dont make vids anymore.
I don't understand why these are "top locations." Number five is in the middle of nowhere, the mountains aren't efficient for farming, and there aren't mentions of resources. Most aesthetic locations? Is that what was meant?

all of this viewed from far up in the sky? everything looks a lot better close to the ground from gameplay perspective. and the reason the exiled lands doesnt feel that way is because it has fog forced on
"Top 5 Base Locations" ... *Builds in an empty field* Seriously, there are hidden caves on this map and you picked a field inside the maelstorm as your second best location.
Horrible choices. Nothing has been considered… proximity to thralls, resources, dungeons, purges etc. Also most spots are kind lazy and obvious choices like the Redwood for a treehouse…..
@@SvenP I know it's your sponsor so you have to do the ad, but the time I had a server with G-portal, it was a lot of down time during and after updates, patches, etc. My conan exiles server was even down due to Ark having a major update. I think they just get too much traffic during any large event and are never fully prepared for the influx. We now use our own machine to host a server. Thanks for the great vid!
@@user-dz3zr4il7r im not being dishonest. ive never had a problem with Gportal like that. but if I did and I was just a customer and had my own machine to host a server. id do the same. I appreciate it :)
