That animation at the beginning, showing the bullet flying with the case and primer is hilarious. It amazes me how many people don't know even the basics of how a firearm operates.
The rifle at the beginning of the FN Ballista segment is not a Ballista it's a Cadex Deference CDX-33. It's too bad it wasn't mentioned it's one of the best sniper rifles out there. It comes with a bartlein barrel and is extremely accurate rifle.
It's considering all variables accurately. Your breath as you breath out, the making the target come to you visually, the power of the weapon, gravity, temperature, wind speed, angle and more often then not, patience. And that's just making the shot. There's also blending so no one can see you, ghosting other people and sniper's, and dealing with enemies in many ways, if things go south.
It is interesting that every rifle here is, essentially, based upon what Accuracy International have done by way of innovation. It is well known that AI made the first modern precision sniper rifle. Everything else since then from other manufacturers has simply mimicked what they did and have done since and they continue to do so. I am not saying that the other rifles are inferior copies, they are not, far from it, it is just that the ground breaking innovator always seems to be Accuracy International (for at least the last 25 years). Indeed, after many failed attempts in the USA to create a workable .338 round, the current .338 Lapua Magnum round was developed as a joint venture between the Finnish rifle manufacturer SAKO and, no surprise here, Accuracy International, along with the Finnish ammunition manufacturer Lapua. So the fact that the 338 Lapua Magnum round even exists to be used today is, in part, unsurprisingly down to Accuracy International innovating and breaking new ground. Again, unsurprisingly this is something that predictably every other rifle manufacturer has followed by introducing .338 Lapua chambered precision rifles. They had to do this otherwise they would be unable to compete.
You notice they dont mention the McMillan TAC .338. I'll take that rifle any day over the rifles they showed. And if you fired one you understand what i mean.
This is the Ruger Ad, they do this every year (the world best sniper rifle 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023...) , put the highest classic with they then they are the highest classic 2😂.
It was 2 groups of 2 and they both shot at nearly the exact same time. One round missed and one hit its mark. They don’t know which team or individual shooter it was so all 4 claim it. 2.2 miles I think. One of the shooters was on the Shawn Ryan Show podcast, Dallas Alexander. Good and interesting stuff!! 👍
Finland SAKO TRG would be my choice.338 Lapua is powerful Svedish caliber but i noticed that 300 win mag is more popular ,not just like hunting round .More popular in NATO army sniper rifles.
@@Wild1KY I have been looking for one and the lowest price I’ve seen is $2,100. You can buy a 300 WM for about $1900. But to me the 338 Lapua wm is far superior. Good luck! That’s an awesome price
@@cshaffer8258 oh the .338 is far & away superior. Check out Field & Stream (national chain) In Alabama & look at the Ruger .338 blot action (5 per mag) for $1699 😊 👍 Love the .338
Hm, as I know Lobaev rifles holds the world record for hitting the target sized 1x1 meter at 4,200 meters. In the same caliber. So how can you ignore them after that?
Yep. None of those are in the middle class budget, not to mention a quality scope to actually utilize it's capability. And in reality, the majority of shooters aren't skilled enough to compensate for drop and drag at such long distances for it to matter, not that they have a reason to shoot at such a distance. There's really no reason for this video to be on a Survival page except to fantasize about things we can't have and unrealistic scenarios.
@@Swearengen1980 I don't know about other rifles in the video but TRG at least is affordable for middle class for sure, it is pricey, but not that pricey. Now if we look at SAKO M-10, now then we talk about rifle that costs a ton of money. TRG runs about 3000 - 4000 if you buy new, M-10 costs 10 000.
@@duhni4551 Um, no. A $3k-$4k rifle is not affordable for the middle class. Most of America, which includes the middle class, still live check to check. It's "affordable" if they use a credit card and have horrendous priorities.
I have the Savage, B 111 338 Lmagnum. I'm not looking for that most expensive and I don't want the cheapest but what is the mid-range? For a scope? I'm looking at the vortex venom 5- 5 x56. I bought a scope from the manufacturers engineer? And they called that The offspring global? When I cited that in at 300 yards. But after the 14th shot that zero at 300 turn to a, approximate 2:00 but my scope outer didn't rotate. Looking forward to a quality scope that can handle the recoil of a 338 Lapua Magnum and doesn't cost me to work 5000 Grand. I do side with the vortex venom 5 - 25 * 56 so far. But I don't want to pay if it's going to fail?
I have a movie question relating to sniper rifles so can anybody tell me what was the sniper rife used by jason slatham in the 2016 film machanic resurrection ?
This clip is simply clickbait. on the one hand, wrong images are used and there are no exact comparisons. I leave it to the Fortnite players to judge weapons by their appearance.
That FN is a sweetheart. Cheap, hell no! Nothing made this well is. This is August company here. These are all worthy in their own way. Each has their own opinion on this. What works for me may not work for you. The key is finding what works for you. Not everyone is the same. Can’t go wrong with these.
No, the 338 LM was developed for the military by the Finnish company Lapua. It was developed from the ground up as a whole new cartridge, the 7mm Remington was developed before the 338 LM.
