Big E is crazy powerful but if you try to compare him to characters from anime or comic books, even characters most might assume would lose to big E could handle him without too much effort. A good example is the hulk. He’s physically stronger and more durable than any 40k character by a LOT. People hype up Angron for holding up a titan but the hulk has held a whole planet together with his physical strength alone. He tanks planet destroying attacks with ease and has even walked off attacks that can destroy galaxies. And that’s in his normal mode. His higher forms are even crazier. His healing factor gives him more survivability than even the emperor. Yeah the emperor is a perpetual but he can still be killed by traditional means like getting stabbed by his bitch ass son. The hulk can’t. I know this because he actually did get stabbed by his son and walked it off after swatting him away. The hulk is all but immune to psychic abilities, with even the most powerful telepaths in the marvel universe struggling to get in his head and stay there. Dr strange himself has said that magic is almost entirely ineffective on him. Like during the WWH story, the ONLY way that dr strange could enter hulks mind was because he let him. He’s been mind hacked before but those are either inconsistent one offs, or the hulk let it happen. The emperor couldn’t just mind rape him and be done. The hulk can see and interact with incorporeal beings, meaning the emperor can’t try to turn intangible using his soul magic(the warp) because to the hulk, that doesn’t mean shit. All it would take for the Hulk to kill the emperor is to land 1 hit. Even in his weakest form, Joe fixit, the hulk shattered an asteroid 2x the earth with one punch. In one of his most powerful forms, world breaker hulk, he took a STEP, and it nearly sent the east coast into the ocean. He made Zeus pussy out of fighting him and use his hax to De power the hulk after he got hit once. Zeus is on par with Odin. That’s saying something. He was literally breaking apart the reality of an entire dimension when he fought Red she hulk in the dark dimension. His energy alone was breaking planets. The ONLY way the emperor could win against hulk is if he somehow knew how to and had the ability to de power him. This is unlikely due to 1. He has no idea the hulk has a human forms 2. He can’t figure that out by reading his mind due to the reasons above, and 3. He won’t have time to, because he’ll get fucked in seconds. And that’s just hulk, who yeah, is one of the most powerful traditional characters in marvel comics period, but he isn’t the most powerful entity in comics by a long shot. Don’t even get me started on someone like the living tribunal or darkseid

@@dodojesus4529 that would make for a compelling narrative, especially as the combined efforts of several shards to try and become whole again would, to my knowledge at least, be an entirely new narrative. Heck, it would open a whole new case of questions: can the shards even reunite? Are they aware of each other, or even that they are shards? Do they have enough conscience in the first place? Would it be possible to merge shards of different C’tan? Interesting stuff indeed.

How would the necrons react to the dragons return? etc. etc. Thinking about it, if you wanna drive the universe forward this would be a pretty good way to do it.

I can’t remember what novel it’s from, but and eldar gets stuck in the warp, and after observing it is completely terrified to discover a soul dwarfing the entire warp. A soul so large everything else is insignificant compared to it. The power encompassed the vast majority of the warp with 4 notable darkness staring right at it. Her fear was lessened after she realised, despite being an alpha level pyker, her power is so incompatibly small that it wouldn’t pay attention to her

The emperors fractured but interconnected soul was so enormous that the warfare was so insignificant to him to intervene (much like the chaos gods are) Of course after guullimen was killed by mortararian in single combat, the emperor revived and possessed him, noting his wraith will not be directed towards chaos, before burning nurgles section of the warp, proclaiming mortarian could still be saved.

Then he did something extremely stupid during the war For Sake of the Elves and after. He divided his mighty power too many times into his armies and into the land of Arda itself and he got weaker and weaker because of that. And by the end of the war of Wrath he was so weak he couldn't face even one Valar anymore. He was a bit of a idiot.

@@David-ni5hj To be fair though the elves during the Silmarillion were quite powerful examples like Fearnor and Fingolfin. And also when Fingolfin was fighting Melkor now called Morgoth. Melkor really depowered himself by dividing his power into his servants and armies and his creatures like the massive Dragons like Ancalagon or the Werewolves. And I remember Tolkien saying that the Valar were as powerful as the pagan gods in mythology were which they were often universal in their mythologies. And Melkor when he was at full power fought 13 of them and thousands of Maiar. And the Valar created entire stars before.

They are by far the most powerful things in Warhammer and the void dragon was the strongest of them all, don't know why people can't get it.

@@angelnolascocalderon5038 cause they don't know the lore or just want to wank their favorite faction regardless of facts. I love the Blood Angels, White Scars, and Dark Angels for Astartes as well as the Custodes for elites of the Imperium and most Imperial Guard regiments but the elites are able to be beat by Eldar, Chaos, Tyranids and such and for sure the Necrons. Honestly only the Custodes can match the Necrons on the battlefield and even then only to a extent. The Necrons are the most OP of the setting since the Chaos Gods cannot enter the material universe.

A big reason why people don't get that is because they didn't used to be all that. The old Necrons were led by C'tan and were fielded on the table top. Not a shard of a captured Ctan, the real deal full powered Ctan. They were super tough, like a high end named Greater Demon or a Primarch, but they were still just things on the table. I personally blasted one off the table with my unit of Wrathgaurd. The current Necron fluff is Matt Ward fluff if I am not mistaken, which people hate and try to ignore.

@@Elthenar yes they changed it but it's one of the few good ward lore changes and it's also shown in the Necrons novels now that are written so well. The current Nightbringer and Void Dragon shards are some of the most powerful units on the Tabletop. This is the first time since 5th edition they have been good to play as even after their lore changed.

@@eichler721 I don't like the changes to the C'tan, taking them from simply being powerful aliens entities to the most powerful creatures in the setting was a bit much. Otherwise I can see your point. I am not an expert on new necron lore but Trazyn has to be the biggest home run Ward hit while employed at GW. Everyone loves Trazyn the Larcenous
