@@williambibens4508 true but there are several things to consider that add to his age, such as already being at the peak of his prime and there being at least a few centuries between the collapse and the great crusade that make him around 13,000. But yeah it would be nice if the older lore was branched out more, there's so many different ways you can take things throughout the different ages of the galaxy.

@@deadlyydude5522 Eldrad was at the point already one of the key leaders of the Craftworlds by the time of the start of the Heracy since the Eldar at tis point had already settled into their post collapse stage. Him, Asurmen and Vect are the oldest known Eldar having been centuries old by the time of the fall, Asurmen especially being oldsr than them both. Asurmen though it is debatable whether he counts since the body has fallen several times so he's moreso a spirit of armour rather than mortal, but the other 2 have just achieved means of making their own longevity with their mortal bodies. Eldar spirits are also much stronger than any other so it could be argued that alot of the Druhkari are from before the fall since they basically reincarnate with clone bodies with their original spirits.

Brave of you to take on such a controversial topic! Eldrad is hard to nail down. There is one moment in the Ynnari books that when Yvraine met with him via a warp connection, she is surprised by how incredibly bright his psychic presence is. In her travels through the galaxy, the only psychic presence brighter is the astronomican. I'll admit cherry picking 40k lore is a poor basis for an argument though. Wish there was more Eldar lore.

Considering the Eldar are literally designed to be Psykers, I would have personally ranked Eldrad higher. Just cause he cant use it doesn’t mean he isnt the most powerful. Like the dude is an absolute beast.

Mankind evolved to be better Psykers than the Eldar, the old ones who made mankind can’t wait for mankind to evolved so they developed the Eldar to be deployed faster since they are in war because they can’t be bother to give the secret of sun screen.

@@Alex-pj8nz Where in the lore states that? To say that mankind evolved to be better psychers than the Eldar is just false. Both races are continuously evolving and adapting, all life are constantly evolving, that is literally a function of all living things. Mankind is still "evolving", not evolved. The Emperor was preparing everything for the future psychic awakening of mankind, which means the whole of humanity is yet to become a psychic race, this is the dream he shared with Magnus and what he prepared the Thousand Sons for, to be guides and teachers for future psykers. 40k humans are still in the stage of evolution. The Eldar in their peak can alter reality as they see fit, they are beyond alpha psychers as they can even safely ascend to a state of godhood (muses). Their technology is so beyond what mankind had achieved, an example is the machine of the ancients where you can reach peak transcendence and manifest anything from infinite fleets to solar systems. The Eldar evolved from a time where the warp is much more purer and stable, that is part of the reason their psychic and sorcerous powers exceeded that of the Emperor. Even the Necrons are not impressed by the librarians, finding their psychic powers hilarious and are nowhere near what the Eldar had achieved. The Eldar are also still evolving. They have fallen, are now adapting, and still evolving. Their most powerful god scattered itself to further boost each surviving Eldar. The lore states that the Old Ones made the Eldar to literally be of the warp, be able to fully manipulate it, and for them to reach greater psychic heights than what the Old Ones could. They are god killers, have battled gods, became gods, and usurped their ancient pantheons. The only reason they have regressed so far is their fear of their own warp-technology, that by using their ancient god tech they will create another Slaanesh. Ideology that was extremely similar to humans who survived the machine rebellion and age of strife.

@@Alex-pj8nz You are claiming things that aren't based on lore. Where in the lore state that Eldar can't kill deamons? 1. An extreme amount of psychic energy will obliterate deamons, an example was during the casting of the rubric and the invasion of Sortiarus by Ahriman. The Eldar have and are always capable of massive psychic damage to the point of destroying souls. The Eldar had battled gods of the warp and real space lol, gods are greater than deamons lmao. The wars of the Old Ones, ancient Eldari, Ctan, and the Necrons, burned realities. You cannot imagine the power they wielded from a time where the necron pylons were yet to be established and the warp is much more purer and stable. Their psychic powers are greater than the Emperor. An example of their psychic technology is the "machine of the ancients" where you can link yourself to it and achieve transcendence and manifest infinite fleets, to solar systems, anything you can imagine you can create. 2. The thing is that pre-fall Eldars achieved godhood, they became gods of both warp and real space. Those gods were called the "Dark Muses", immortal psychers who had millennia of accumulated knowledge, power, and skill. Their powers reached so far that the Dark Muses even usurped the powers of the Ancient Eldari Pantheon (Morai-heg, Isha, etc), and those ancient Eldari pantheon had battled the C'tan at their prime. The Eldari exceeded the powers of the gods they used to worship. 3. To say the eldar have no power to kill deamons, again, is a lie. Even at their fallen state they have been killing deamons for breakfast. An example of this is Craftworld Ulthwe, home to some of the most powerful psychers in existence. They have been surviving near the EYE of TERROR itself for millennia, and have battled and won against countless chaos hordes. You have no sources so what you're saying is nonsense.

Also demons literally flee from the emperor's psychic light like little bitches as seen during the roboute and mortarion incursion where the emperor light would not just simply kill them but annihilate them from existence. The eldars succumbed to slaanesh alone who is probably the weakest of the dark gods whilst it took the four gods combined effort to take the god emperor down but regardless the emperor is still battling them in the immaterium . Even great unclean ones are terrified by him . I dont remember which book it was since I read it years ago but it was about an alpha plus psyker eldar who soul had found itself in the warp and she knew slaanesh or some vile chaos spawn was coming to consume her soul . Then she noticed a mega soul whose psychic might dwarfed hers . And she felt four notable darkness eyeing the being (emperor's soul) warily . She rejoiced for she knew slaanesh wasn't interested in her but was avoiding that part of the warp coz of this being . The emperor also lit nurgles garden with holy flames whilst nurgle himself hid in his manor like a little bitch then proceeded to threaten and declare war on the dark gods. No eldar is capable of such feats .

To be fair, Malcador handled the golden throne while it was also suppressing the webway breach and while giving a lot of his psychic power to the Emperor and while hiding a planet and while maintaining the psychic ward around the palace, which was killing the Emperor and which Magnus was never intended for.

This was definitely a top 10-able video. Major Kill should do a follow up 5-10 psycher’s in 40K. Theres a lot of other awesome ones out there. Im sure Ahriman would have made that list.

Spoiler, Horus change Emperors original orders, the emperor wanted him to come back to terra, but Horus altered his order to have Russ to kill Magnus and his legion. The novel Ashes from Prospero mention this but a survivor of the Thousand Sons found this before it was too late.

The rouge trader era is much more industrial with gothic and cyber punk flair, instead of gothic with an industrial flair. Originally it was pretty much judge dredd and cyberpunk, because necromunda actually came before 40k.

Mephiston is just Magnus Tier at this point. There was this experiment guy in one of the Soul Drinker books, he countrolled countless bodies like zombies with his mind. Also across systems or even the sector, I can't remember. Had nothing to do with Nurgle btw, he was his own Lich King. Thats Alpha + if I ever saw one.

Now, a question for both the man himself and all the other fans down here in the comments: If you had a chance to flip just ONE traitor Primarch and their Legion over to the Loyalist side, who would you choose to ensure the best possible outcome of the Heresy? Assume that, if you choose Horus or Lorgar, someone else will start it.

Personally I think Eldrad should have been 4 and Ahriman at 5. Eldrad has had just way more success and brought his own plans to bare. Ahriman on the other hand just seems to be the universes biggest trier.

A theory that i like is that Ahriman was probably trolled by tzeench a couple of times because, well, tzeench is tzeench. This explains his constant failures in doing what he does, and i reckon that he would be much more powerful if tzeench is not constantly meddling in his affairs.

12:07 I love how the Emperor just wields a bolter. Not a plasma or some sort of melta or those volkite-whatevers, but just a bolter. I mean, I'm sure it's the best bolter mankind had ever made, but it still seems underpowered. Maybe the Emperor just really loves guns over more fancy tech. Reminds me of Alucard in Hellsing with his pistols. Cool, yes, but why?

I am convinced that kaldor Draigo is so powerful because he is a psyker, therefore, he should quialify for the competition. The only way that a someone could survive for that long in the immaterium is for said someone to being an extremely gifted psyker so he/she, can keep his/her defences up indefinetly.

The Malcador is the emperor theory has grown on me a bit over time. With the way GW approached the most recent interaction with Magnus v/s the prevailing knowledge there seems to be a bit more to tell in the last hours of the assault on terra.

While I do believe Magnus har more potential than Malcador I don't think he couldn't sit on the throne for longer due to lack of strength. He had the psychic power but not the physical durability to endure the strain of it.

I feel like that shit is on the Big E. Fair enough that Magus fucked up but he really pulled out the little E and started pissing all over that oil fire when he called Russ. He had a lot of better options on the table. Use his long distance telepathy to ask Magnus to come to Terra with half his legion, send Dorn, G man, or any other non retarded Primarch with something approaching a leave head. Sent Malcador, Valdor, throw a ping pong and sent the random people it hits. Maybe ask Eldrad. There was only a dozen or so really wrong decisions and he picked one of them.

The Emperor has consumed by proximity the souls of 36,500,000 psykers over 10,000 years. Although those souls do go to a different thing than the Emperor himself, I must imagine the collective worship of trillions of humans and even the respect he garners from other species has enormously enhanced his power. I see that power and nearly impossible to wield effectively due to his fractured mind. But the fact that he slapped Nurgle to and fro casually in his seat of power more or less shows that any one of the four Chaos gods would alone be wise to ever confront him individually. I think they might still win but there were be such a mauling that the other three deities would pounce.

My only issue with this list is you made specific mention of primordial beings when you you describing the scale of who may be included but you left out tzeentch. One would think that the literal god of psychic and magic potential would be on here but I guess not. Otherwise, great list, love the video as always

So, looking at the 9th edition stats, I'd actually say that Ahriman is stronger than Mephiston, as Ahriman is one of the few units in 9e that can use three psychic powers in each psychic phase, where Mephiston can only use two.

Always enjoy these! Speaking of the Emporer's immense psychic power, what's the odds on him actually just being one of the Men of Gold or some Dark age weapon? I remember hearing some reference to that somewhere. I'd ask the question on the Arch or Baldimort, but there's no way they'd answer with your amount of style!

I'd personally put Elrdad even higher only because his powers are just so... Effective under ANY circumstance? It goes beyond simply raw power, and raw power isn't always the winning factor, if you get me. But this list is pretty good regardless! Loved it, please keep up the good work!
