I've had the G915 TKL Tactile since it was released and loved it. The DeathStalker V2 Pro TKL Linear is such an amazing upgrade to that. The keys feel so good to type and game with. No more key rattle! I like the Fire effect on the Razer and it is very customizable if you install the Chroma Studio plugin through the Razer Synapse software . My G915 TKL keys had faded paint on a few of the keys and would get oily so fast. So far, the Razer keys are staying nice and clean after a lot of use. The volume wheel does change the volume a lot slower, but it is still usable. The price still hurts, but the upgrade definitely feels worth it.
Dude! I love the G512! What a solid keyboard that looks sexy too! I'm sure you'll have no reason to upgrade any time soon! What kind of keys do you use?
I haven't tried the MX mechanical yet but there's definitely some smoosh towards the end because of the dampeners. Between these you keyboards, you can feel the difference when it bottoms out where the G915 has a hard finish and the DeathStalker has a mushier finish but not as bad as a membrane board.
Hey does your unit have a weird shrilling noise next to the 2.4ghz Bluetooth switch? It's very audible when you select a Bluetooth connection. I wonder if I got a defective one =/. The range is incredible but that shrilling sound yeash.
@@GamerGear Thank you for checking your Deathstalker V2 Pro for me. I am starting to suspect I have one I need to swap out because when I was playing an FPS game, I couldn't move straight or left at the same time and when I tried to buy weapons in CS:GO I had to minimize the game and go back to it before it would register the numbers.
@@walterliou8729 I've had crazy behavior once so far where I unplugged the dongle and put it back and it fixed the issues. There's obviously no guarantee that it'll fix your issues but don't regret it and get stuck with a faulty unit. At least if you change it and you get the same behavior, you know that the keyboard doesn't play nice with your system.
On the razor, when you assign a macro to a key do you just press the key or do you also have to press the function button? Like if I assigned "copy" to F1, do i just press F1 or function + F1?
With Razars optical switches you can program each key to have two functions the first half press can be assigned one function and the second half press can be another. It does take getting used to though. But you could draw a weapon and shoot it with one press if you set it up that way.
@@Blaze_1961 no you are the deathstalker uses the optical switched not the analog optical they came later with the huntsman you cant programm the keys with double functions
DeathStalker V2 is rubbish!. First of all it is not supported on MAC OS, the software simply doesn't exist, which makes the keyboard useless. And secondly, despite the majority youtubers saying that the keyboard is better on Razer, I still consider the typing experience on Logitech to be much better, plus the keyboard itself looks much more appealing. The only downside is the volume roller, which is lower quality than on Razer, but still not a big issue.
