No, cardio definitely helps. Lifting heavy sure does get the fat off, but cardio helps you stay lean and manage that low body fat % Edit: but besides that you are 100% right

I try to go for at least 10k steps a day while im at work. After work ill try my best to double that as best as i can i average around 18k to 25k steps per day doing this. As of right now i am broke as hell and around 244 pounds. I will be paying for a gym membership once i get paid so that I can start working on getting lean and building muscle. As of right now walking and eating healthy is about all i can currently do and its been working I am in a calorie deficit. Based on a 2,000 calorie a day diet i dont take in anymore that 1500 per day. I have done the research and its about 3,500 calories per pound of body weight. A healthy burn on body weight is about 1 pound per week. I have been averaging 2-4 pounds sometimes more. As you are burning body weight though you burn both muscle and stored fat. Currently i am experimenting with crash dieting which is really dangerous from what i understand cutting back my daily calorie intake by half. I have been dealing with a heart condition which got me really concerned about my body weight and I was already concerned about it before i just couldn't do anything about it up untill now since i got a vehicle. I use to weigh over 290 pounds and just walking every day and getting in those steps really helped alot. I have also done strength training as well just basic pushups etc ... Its been about 3 months now since i started this journey. I have also been experimenting with fasting i go 1 full day sometimes a day and half with at least 1 meal to begin with. I do this about once every other week as it really depletes some really crucial nutrient sources i have learned the human body needs to function properly. Usually after ill replenish lost nutrients. Your videos have been very helpful and inspiring. I am not crazy by any means. Like i said i am just experimenting. The 36 hour fast and the crash dieting are not things i would recommend to anyone without supervision from a licensed health professional. Once i hit 235 im going to stop these and go back to basic and only do a 16 hour fast at a time and stick with the 1500 calorie intake push cardio and strength training.

So I’m lifting, and walking 30-45 min a a day. Is the walking considered bad cardio? I’m a heavy dude and looking to get moving and stay active.

Walking for least 60 minutes is still a good form of cardio, burning an extra 200 calories a day helps a lot.
