Saw a lone Schwarzette in a toy shop when I was outside, and I knew I had to get it. No buyer's remorse, as it's definitely an impactful kit with great shelf prescense.
WFM series kits are one of the series that boggles my mind for how many kits of are still in stock in my country including the new Calibarn, while it considered as an extinct/rare kits at other countries. Heck, even my local stores are slashing the price by 10-15%. Only Lfrith are declared extinct/scalp worthy here. Our local gunpla circle even had a saying that WFM kits had the "HG Barbatos/Unicorn Syndrome" for the overflood and unsold kits.
@@jamavra somewhere in the Asian continent. Sorry about being a bit secretive and the anonymity here, but in where I live, the country's plamo/gunpla community is a tight and borderline "insane" community and have a sort of "unwritten rule" about never give "outsiders/foreigners" any clues that may lead to my country's kit prices, after a lot of incidents where where foreigners knew we have low prices, ended up ordering online bulks of the kits from our local sellers for scalping, which in turn made local sellers starts price gouging the kits, and we local builders ended being victim of price gouging + out of stock kits. We local builders learned from that day on to keep our mouth shut, which keep the stocks in country, which in turn keep the prices stable. Hope you don't get offended. Some of this channel viewers are from my country and we personally know each other, and as the saying goes: "Snitches gets Stitches" Frankly, I don't want to end up get stabbed by an exacto knife or a Godhand nipper for being a snitch.
i think this is one of the first gunpla lines where no matter which kit you pick up you're gonna get yourself a great kit. the origin line is also kind of like that but wfm is a lot more affordable and has more unique molds
The Pharact, with its Byarlant looks, and the Dilanza Sol were favorites. The demi Barding had that 1/35th scale feel I could not stay away from. And, well, the 1/100th Aerial was so beautiful, I could not resist...
The Zowort turned out to be my favorite kit from the line. As was mentioned, it's a very good kit for customizing, and I've been using them to make Armored Core-inspired builds. I've already ended up buying three of them so far.
I think the Michaelis took more of a hit because of who the pilot was (and to a lesser extent maybe because of how similar all the Grassley suits are compared to the other companies). I swear I didn't see them filling shelves at my local shops until after the point in the show when Shaddiq's scheming was starting to have more of an effect.
It would be interesting to see a comparison between the Michaelis and the 30 Minute Missions Spinatio knight type. Both are made by Bandai. The Spinatio line look similar to the Heindree/Heindree Sturm as well. 30 MM Spinatio kits could be used for kit bashing.
Chuchu's Demi Trainer is best Demi because of the pilot. Mass production suits that are customized by/for the pilot are always awesome and the giant sniper suits her "aggressive support" role. My favorite kit from WfM is tied between Aerial and Calibarn. I like the body design of the Aerial more but Calibarn's broom cannon is one of the coolest oversized weapons in Gundam. Also, I'm a sucker for MC suits so they always end up in my top 5. (Yes, I even like ∀ Gundam's design.)
@@vm_duc I wasn't talking about he anime, just the fact that ∀ Gundam's design is very polarizing. It looks very non-gundam and I know a lot of people don't like it.
Just finished building Darilbalde yesterday and It looks really amazing on display I'm glad i got It because Darilbalde is my favorite Mobile suit from WFM, the design is really cool
With the Lfrith vs Aerial situation, my view is that they're both great kits, but Aerial's chest is where there's issues. If there was a sticker or painting built in for the transparent/smoke pieces on the underside of the chest, it's be more even, but that really sticks out like a sore thumb if the shelf puts that at or above eye level when on display. And, yeah, Michaelis is Samus Aran in gundam form...
from what I heard the reason the Michaelis sold poorly is due to people hating its pilot Shaddiq, kinda similar to SEED with the Buster Gundam but in reverse as in the anime made its pilot Dearka joined the "good guy" faction so they can sell more of the Buster Gundam kits.
My top 5 are Chuchu Demi Trainer Dilanza Zowort Heindree Beguir Pente They're all grunts because I'm practicing hand painting & custom paint and they all really good practice piece. 😅
The Grassley MSes are my favs from the line. Theyre very solidly built with little fragile parts. The Gunpla could pass off as a robust action figure. The Heindree gotta be my no. 1. I cannot stress enough how much I love the kit. I wanna buy 20
@@calvinfermin6598 Pretty close: a P-Bandai expansion set was announced a few days ago with new equipment for those three plus a beam effect for Guel's Dilanza.
The Calibarn is a suit I would love to see get a FM release. Schwartzette as well. The designs are so cool and putting them on a larger frame would be awesome. The Dilanza is a kit that seemed to be really cool, but also kinda forgotten about, which is sad. Jeturk just knows how to make the best designs, I guess.
I have 18 HG G-Witch kits (lucky to live near Little Tokyo/Chinatown LA) and just picked up the September issue of Hobby Japan with the Calibarn on the cover from Book-Off. I wasn't going to get the Michaelis because I'm not a fan of its pilot but you convinced me and I think it's discounted anyways. Too bad the Demi Garrison and the Gundam Jiu are P-Bandai $$$. Praying for a Vanadis Heart anime adaptation!
Great kits. They are getting little boring after snapping couple of them but still one of the best HGs out there. And my top5: Calibarn, Lfrith, Pharact, Zowort, Darilbalde.
1. Lfrith 2. Aerial Rebuild 3. Darilbalde 4. Aerial 5. Lfrith Ur The only ones I haven't build yet that would very likely move some of these down the list are the Schwarzette, Calibarn, and the Lfrith Jiu
For me Zowort and Pharact really hit me, Zowort with customization possibility and Pharact for that look. And both coz it look like straight up from Armored Core
Aerial simp right here, both versions and I do agree the Lfrith looks awesome, but the aerial is still a unique gundam design, do prefer aerial to the rebuild, the second version almost feels like a nerf in therms of design. Still prefer aerial over Lfrith, but I do agree it looks very unique. The Calibarn looks so good with the rainbow parts, it's my fav, I'm looking forward to seeing any wfm kits in RG,MG and PG. I do agree, Zwarzette is my second fav. The darilblade for sure looks really awesome and it would be my num 5, I'm not a giant Michaelis fan, I might even prefer the Pharact to it. I do hope bandai releases the V2 versions of the 3 suits. I do find it a bit of a waste how little the V2 were used in the series. The entire line is awesome, my honorable mentions are the rest of the line, it's just so good, I don't have any at home yet (all paid for at HLJ), but all suits are awesome, even the Lfrith UR and the chicken Gundam, the grunts are all really cool designs. Chuchus demi trainer is badass I gota admit, but it wouldn't reahc my own top 10. It's really sad that F bandai had to make the last grunt suit into a Pbandai, cause I was at least 2 or 3 of those because of the options they've got. One last thing on grunt suits: the coolest grunt doesn't have a kit yet, I certainly hope it does, I'm talking about that black one from that one episode where the kid dies in Guel's arms. When I saw that one in action in my head I was like: please bandai make that. There's still other grunts that don't have kits, but 1 kit I also absoluitely need and want is the prototype blue Lfrith, I am really looking forward to RGs, MGs and PGs of this line, I hope we get many of those.
I haven’t built any yet from WFM, but visually I agree with most of your list. Hope to get my hands on some of these kits in the future. Off topic but what is the kit in the background on his desk?
Im not too interested in a majority of the mobile suits in this series. A lot of them arent my taste and I oddly get a bad familiar vibe, comparing them to more recent Build series mobile suits. However, the ones that are good, are real standouts like the Darilbalde, which may be my favorite mobile suit from the series. Sadly HG kits no longer interest me as Iv gotten past that phase in my hobby life where shelf space is crucial and it cant be filled with more cheap kits, despite some great enginuity in some of these. I do hope we get more FM 1/100 in the future, and if not I may have to bite the bullet on the Darilbalde HG at least. The aerial was really nice for something not master grade and it really softened the blow of not wanting any model kits from this series. Im worried though because with only one FM kit so far and the show being over, its hard to believe theyll be pushing out much else aside from some pbandai and eventually a MG one day.
