The most annoying thing for me is event pokemon. Events where you can get one happen about once in a million years and I usually miss them. The only one I was able to get was Celebi. I don't care if they make it horribly difficult to catch a legendary, just as long as I'm able to catch them.

The legendary dogs were worse in Fire Red and Leaf Green. Why? If they use Roar to end the battle they will disappear completely.

I personally liked Pokemon Amie. Idk, I just like being able to play with my pokefriends.

I really hated those caves that forced you to keep all the HM techniques ready, especially in first gen where those were permanent. I never used things like flash or strength in battle, so those felt like wasted attack slots 99% of the time.

I like happiness based evolutions. it's one of very few ways that you actually have to work for. with most level based evolutions, you just stick them in the back of the party with an experience share and poof it's done, and trade and item based ones require no real effort except finding the item and having 2 systems

TOP 5 MOST ANNOYING THINGS ABOUT POKEMON GAMES: 005. Frustrating Pokemon Moves. (Teleport/Explosion) (Shiny Abra uses Teleport or Shiny Graveler uses Explosion.) 004. Trading. (Why can't I catch them all in 1 game?!) 003. Event Pokemon. (Miss an Event Pokemon? Too bad, you're outta luck.) 002. Rival appearing out of nowhere. (Especially when your Pokemon's HP is low.) 001. Not being able to use a HM without a certain badge.

In the original Gen 1 games, while trying to catch the Legendries, your Poke Balls would sometimes miss.

The thing I hate worst is the rival battles. "AHA! There's the gym! Oh, come on May. Is this REALLY the best time to battle?"

In order to hit those annoying people who use Double Team to raise their evasiveness to the max, you need a move that can never miss like Feint Attack or Aerial Ace.

#1 most annoying thing for me: HMs, specifically water HMs. Strength, Cut, Rock Smash etc. can be learned by many different types of Pokemon. Fly, while convenient, isn't necessary to complete the game. However the Water HMs: Surf. Waterfall, Whirlpool and Dive, are quite the thorn in my side and here is why. Surf is a decent move, and the least offender but it is still annoying. Most non-water types that learn it are physically based, so it is a useless as Cut when used by them. Pretty much you need a water type in order to fully utilize the move. Whirlpool isn't even that great in battle, and again requires a water type. It is basically a water type flash, but at least it is only needed in one optional area. Dive is in the same boat as whirlpool, but if the water type is physically strong it is decent. But unlike whirlpool it is necessary for objectives in the games, and again almost exclusive to water types. However the worst offender is definitely Waterfall. It can only be used by water types with a few exceptions. Like Dive it is decent in the hands of a physically strong water type, but here is what is so infuriating: *not all water types can learn it!* Wanna use Kingler? NOPE! Slowking your bro? NOT HAPPENING! What about Peliper? IMPOSSIBLE! This means you can only use certain water types, narrowing your choice or forcing you to use an extra HM slave. One of the things fun about Pokemon is using many different Pokemon, and while you can play through the game without using many different types, You are required to use a water type every single time! And some regions like Johto or Hoenn use 3 of them, so if you have a water type it is just an HM slave. This has caused me to hate water types and has turned many water starters into HM slaves.

When you finally find a Pokémon that you want them kill the other one but it’s faster uses struggle and kills itself forcing your Pokémon to attack the Pokémon you want and ending up killing it... I spent over an hour on that goomy in ultra sun :(

Here's something: Poison, Poison in general. When your pokemon is poisoned, when you're in a field, each time you step the screen shakes and its all fuzzy, it's literally annoying.

In X and Y, I was grinding my pokemon in reflection cave and every time I ran into a wobbafett I had to either catch it or kill it and get one of my pokemon killed in the process because of stupid shadow tag and destiny bond. It was super annoying and I ended up catching 14 wobbafett because I didn't want to keep re-healing my pokemon.

when i first encountered a roaming pokemon i didn't know what a roaming pokemon meant, so when i encountered a wild latias in the middle of the ocean i was pretty confused. i only caught it because my brother convinced me that it was a legendary (i was a noob) and i reluctantlt used my master ball. so glad i did.

Evasiveness isnt a problem for me because i ALWAYS have a pkmn with roar to simply screw over trainers/players that keep stacking stat boostes but for the other 4 im totally with ya brother
