I've been playing for almost 3months now, and my opinion is hands down the MVP/axiom soft neutron Envy..... definitely an amazingggggggggg throwing putter

i wonder where is Pa3 love, comes in variety of plastics and straight to reliable fade at end and it can go whit you from start to end of time atleast in 400g plastic.

I love the Axiom Proxy. First disc I ever bought after my starter pack, don't think it will ever leave the bag. Feels amazing in the hand and super easy to put a light touch on

I’ve been a Envy/Proxy guy but the Reko X and the Reko finally pushed them outta my bag.

I started with the prime burst Judge, and soon made the small adjustment to the classic blend Emac Judge. My fingers feel more comfortable with the beading at the bottom, and I like the rubbery plastic feel. which I think is a good thing to teach beginners. Finding a disc they like, and not being afraid to experiment with blends and styles to really find that sweet spot.

Loving my Axiom Proxy Plasma, too (THE go-to), but will give my Envy a little more time. People seem to love the DM P2, but they keep coming off my release to the right (RHBH) compared to all my other putters. They have a pretty high dome, but I'm sure it's just my technique (or lack of). Also love my DM Sensei Active Premium.

i bag an electron hard and two eclipse 2.0 envys, one new one and one i've beat in. The electron has no fade, and can be understable when thrown hard, the beat in eclipse has a straight flight and a slight fade at the end, while the new one is a little overstable and great for shaping shots. fyi, this when throwing distances about 230 feet

I just got a sensei last week. But I bad a soft nomad and a hard envy. But honestly I find myself putting mostly with my pig. It’s such a versatile disc. I probably throw that pig twice as much as anything else in my bag Just got a Glyph the other day. Haven’t tried it yet. It’s a weird one. And of course everyone should have a glitch in their bag. It’s just such a fun disc to warm up with and with no wind it’s lights out from anything under 100 feet.

I love my tournament x Matt Orum Maiden! I would recommend the maiden for both beginners and advanced players. It is dead straight with a ton of glide, but still has enough stability to not turn over!

As long as I am playing disc golf there will always be a westside maiden in my bag

Paige Pierce Fierce and Sky God IV are my go to throwers. Excited to try out the MVP Glitch when it comes in next month.

As much as I love the Envy, I think the Proxy is the better beginner choice. I bag 2 of both and love throwing both. The Proxy is just straighter for a beginner. The Envy definitely goes farther for me and tends to have better distance control.

I love the infinite discs alpaca (Eric Oakley run) and tomb. Alpaca is a deep rim and tomb is shallow, they have relatively the same flight with the exception of the tomb being a little faster. They are basically glidyer sensei's and you can really crank some power on both.

Polecat..ftw! Envy is almost identical to the Luna and both are so good. Personally I use the Nomad. I have thrown an ace with the Proxy at around 175ft as well. Pretty much just find what works for you.

Would love to see yall to a review of the viking discs line. Currently my favorite line and have every one of they're discs in my bag at the moment. All are great, definitely worth a review.

I started playing back in 96' and for me it was difficult to throw a putter for any kind of distance, it was like throwing an Ultra Star. I now can only throw a putter like 200' accurately or good enough. I remember watching Simon at the 2014 Rochester flying disc open and he was just crushing putters and i was amazed. Go watch the final round, I believe it was McFlySoHigh or something like that or just search the 40th Rochester flying disc open final round. They were so excited about the DGLO running there 40th tournament and Rochester had there's in 2014, now they would be on 48th annual. Crazy

My brother scored a 120 ft throw-in birdie with the Sensei back in May. Ever since then he's been putting with it even though it is severely beat in. But it flies absolutely straight when I gave it a whirl. Definitely a good beginner putter!

I'm currently using the eMAC Judge in basic for approach and the regular Judge in classic soft for putts.

The Atom doesn't get enough love. For beginners, it's a straighter Envy.

I have a old very beat up random disc from discmania I dont have a clue what it is but its the best disc for my backhand for 60m and less, it has almost no faid and whit in 60 m dead straight, but im annoied when it becomes too beat up

I'm really surprised that the luna didn't make the list here. It's probably the most glidey putter out there and is pretty understable in base plastic. Or instead of the fierce you can put the deputy because... well it's the fierce without the pierce name

The envy is great, but everyone forgot the proxy. The proxy should've been on this list and I'm surprised it wasnt

Can u do a review on the elevation discs. I’ve heard good things about them even tho they’re super floppy, also they’re pdga approved

I have not tried the envy but based on discs made by the MVP company including Axiom they seem to be more over stable in comparison to the majority of other manufacturers. I haven’t checked out the stats on the disc but the majority of discs made by MVP are not as tall and therefore more usable for smaller hands.

I throw both the envy and the atom, they have the same core but the atom is a laser. Honorable mention to clash disk butter and popcorn, they are like catch disc. Super soft landing, I have to remind myself that it's not going to fade back to basket even on a baby hyzer, the best way to throw them is to not even think about it just rip it

I've had an Opto Pure in my bag for close to 10 years. I would dive into the arctic ocean to save it. If you beat one in, you will never, EVER need another throwing putter.

I throw the sensei a lot ... my friends nicknamed the sensei the metal detector. I would agree they are very straight throwers.

Legacy Clutch, more specifically the Steve Rico Cobra Strike is stupid straight. Gets frustrating sometimes that there is no fade unless you try to turn it and then it fades back to straight.

Sensei is good but if we think discmania throwing putter then Link is the best. I put with discmania logic but there isn't premium versio off that.

Sensei I s a great choice before it starts to turn due to wear or more torque. I will point out that according to my knowledge the sensei is made by Yikun which I believe their discs are. Underused in the United States. For me the base plastic is better than any of us based plastic. Now I have not looked into the human rights side of production of the disc but based on the cost of living in the United States and what the minimum wage ; is I don’t know if The workers at Yikun our worst off financially when it comes to the amount to get paid versus the cost of living.

How far off was the Nova?

Its 2 runs of sensei first runs are flat and little smoky and then theres new and thei are more clear

If you need something a touch more stable get the soft plastic envy. Like he said its 3,3,0,2 but it is seriously the best up shot/throwing putter. I throw mine at least 8-15 times in a full 18

I throw the Gold-X Pure and put with Zero Soft Pure. Great hand feel, great shot flexibility, straight flyer.

I am outright shocked that the harp isn’t on this list, it’s one of the first discs I ever bagged and it’s my most consistent shot on the course

The company making discmanias Active-Line is Yikun, and they have their own discs, I love my Gui in Dragon Line plastic. But alas it is lost in the bushes. Bought a replacement by Viking Discs, the Knife in Storm plastic, very very similar shape, just a tad less stable but with putters that is almost always possible to fix by the thrower. I am also loving my Envy but haven't thrown it that much, so I don't trust it in a headwind or in elevation yet. Have to get me a Discmania Active Premium Sensei some day...

I'm also surprised that the lina didn't make it on the list but another thing that's crazy is that the sensei made the lost but the p2 didn't

a very underrated putter is the Hydrogen from Loft Discs. Highly recommend them.

I feel like most beginners pick up high speed over stable discs

When it comes to the judge had a hard time finding it out of the 170s or above and therefore it was too stable for my arm speed. And the height Of 2 cm along with a little dome was not very good for my hand and I have a smaller hand for a male.

For my money, it’s the Mercy from Latitude 64

Paige Pierce Fierce is probably my most hated disc I’ve ever owned. Couldn’t control it - rim is just too shallow for my hand.

So for beginners whom The majority of the disks that are mentioned above are too big for their hand I recommend the Yikun hammer, Innova bullfrog, And based On the measurements; because I have not used it the Discmania Maestro, and for a unorthodox choice (Because the two discs are a five speed and six speed ) I recommend that Innova panther in champion plastic( 5speed’) and the MVP Relay in the Neutron Plastic 6 speed. I have smaller hands for the average male. Far as I can find the average male hand to 7.6 inches long and mine is about 7.3. According to two sources I looked up on the Internet the average female hand is 6.8. So my hand is pretty close to the middle. You have to remember that many discs are made for professionals and if you look at the size of the most top touring professionals they probably aren’t your size.

The pure and fierce are definitely better beginner throwing putters than the other options on the list, being that understable discs are easier for beginners to throw straight. But it's not your fault that your subscribers are dumb, good video!
