Two that you or anyone else who sees this should check out (if you haven’t already, they’re fairly well known), are “Slaughtersun: Crown of the Triarchy” and “Nær sólen gar niþer for evogher” by the Swedish band Dawn. Both amazing Melodic Black Metal albums that would definitely make a top 50 list for me

Great list Bryce! If you like the later Immortal stuff, I highly recommend checking out Demonaz’s solo album, March of the Norse. It’s more of a heavy / epic metal style album, but still has a lot of black metal elements. Great riffs, melodies and tone

@@paveldopita7886 I've been loving it! I went in thinking it would be super depressing but it's just so beautiful. Its a blissful half hour and I love that it still has some of the raw elements of 2nd wave style black metal, but then also those gorgeous piano melodies. I also love the surface noise from a record player that are throughout the digital release. That album cover is incredible as well!
Asagraum, Evilfeast and Gehenna were cool spooky discoveries for me. Lots of work putting this list together for sure. Immortal entries on list 👍. Do you not like Emperor or Carach Angren?

Great list, nice to see some underground ones like Gehenna, Hecate Enthroned and Dark Fortress. Honestly I never understood the hype for Panzer Division Marduk. It's an ok, but very repetetive album, just constant blastbeats. I like the band, but I think Panzer is one of their weakest efforts.
I agree with Bryce: Inquisition is the best black metal band of all time 🤘🤘They are not nearly as famous as they deserve to be. If they were from Europe then everyone would know them. All the albums are great in different ways.

I don't know if you've ever heard about the band Thy Primordial? It doesn't exist anymore but they are totally underated according to me. They did 5 albums I think and Back On Black re-released 3 of their albums on vinyl 2years ago and you can get them for cheap. I recommand you to take a look at it.

@@brycetalksmetal I've also discover and bought an LP recently from a one man band from the U.S call Eneferens. The guy is amazing doing an atmospheric black-metal including acoustic and clean voices into it. It is amazing, very underground though. He did 3 albums I think
