Literally everything was better back then, well except that Internet wasn't available for many people (but who cares about that shit, AMIRITE?!?!) that sucked...
DAMN!! I REMEMBER GETTING UP AT 6:00 MORNING, SITTING ON THE FLOOR IN FRONT OF THE THE TV WITH MY BLANKET WATCHING AT LEAST HALF THESE CARTOONS. MY FAVORITES ARE TRANSFORMERS, VOLTRON, DUNGEON AND DRAGONS, THUNDER CATS, G.I. JOE, GUMMIE BEARS, DUCKTALES, SILVER HAWKS, SCOOBY DOOR, HE MAN, TO NAME A FEW!! I'M TRIPPING OFF HOW I'M SMILING WHILE WATCHING THESE OLD CLASSIC THROW BACKS, IT'S LIKE RELIVING THE 80's AGAIN WOW!! RU-vid IS THE SHIT!!
Jolly P totally agree my friend I miss these, I liked he man thundercats Raggydolls etc. All sorts David the knome. Maxi world. Bloody ell Transformers and a program early say mornings called bright sparks thst was weird lol, all after Rolland the rat show 😔👍👍👍
Jolly P Yeah, growing up during the 80's was the jam! Transformers, G.I. Joe, and HE-MAN on Saturday morning with a big bowl of Smack's, or Lucky charms! You had the best Tv shows like Miami Vice, Airwolf, knight rider, V, Alf, A-team, fall guy, etc.etc! Some of the best action movies like Terminator, Rambo, Top gun! Some of the best music ever made was during that time!! When I try to compare growing up back then (80/early90's) with any era since then I'm glad I got to experience that instead of the latter! It was a great time to be a kid, or any age for that matter.
It is just your preference. Humanity changed since then. Lot's of people love the stuff they grew up with but when you present a child with the old stuff and the new stuff, a lot of kids prefer the new. Also, tech doesn't make art much better or anything, in fact it makes it easier to do certain styles of art faster so it also influences and narrows artistic choices. Also remember that the way you perceive art is influences by your fond or not so fond memories of it.
The human mind is amazing. Even though not hearing the intro to "The Gummie Bears" in 25+ years, i seemed to have remembered every single word of it, but nothing of the actual cartoon itself.
I am 42 old an I still remember all the lyrics of the soundtracks from Jem,Ulysses 31,M.AS.K.,T.M.N.T.,Duck Tale,G.I.JOE,Chip and Dale(I STILL FALL IN LOVE OF Gady and JEM BTW 😅) like the very first time that I heard them... MY FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK OF ALL TIME it's from the second season of Transformers...such a cool song!... Hi from Costa Rica I bless you!!!...👍🏻✌🏼
Brilliant, I was born 1981 in Britain so we only got to watch about a third of these. Cartoons were much better than nowadays. thunder cats vs sponge bob square pants ? no contest.
82, Italy. I watched many of them + we had some additional series about wizard ladies, witches, thieves and ....in many cases with sexy ladies...("Occhi di gatto" just to mention one) , that were very extremely famous together with lady oscar, lupen, magica emi, evelin , pollon....etc etc etc not mentioned here
your country's government was responsible for Michaelangelo from ninja turtles losing his nunchakus over here in America. ill never forgive your government for that, they tried to taint my childhood. in doing so they will be punished severely for that one day
I know right i wish i was alive back then, i love some of the cartoons mentioned on this list, but i love the least popular ones 😂 (they all need love!)
shawn brown don't ever say something like that again you filthy person. Or I will send you pictures of my wife smoking in her garter belt.. just her garter belt... she's 79
Amen my friend--I'll be 30 in July but never plan on saying goodbye to my childhood ever. Watching these especially Muppet Babies and Alvin and the Chipmunks takes the pain out of being an adult and brings out the little girl inside of me again and makes life worth living.
My husband and I were telling our 18 year old about some of our favorite shows of the 80's when I said I wondered if we could find any of them on RU-vid...wow...blown away! Everything I can remember, most of them on this one list. Thanks so much!
OHMYGOD I just died and went back to heaven! That was AWESOME! I was born in 81 and LOVED the majority of those shows, some I think I was too young to remember but 45 out of the 50 I loved and now I really want to go on a hunt for those shows! I know my mom has to have some on VHS somewhere in her house!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful flash back to the BEST cartoons ever!
80's & 90's cartoons we're the fucking best! Now days TV sucks ass compare to what we Nostalgic kids grew up with! & someone needs to either make a TV station called "Nostalgia Cartoons TV" or have it as a RU-vid channel with all un-edited episodes if possible.
BloodyRedStarnope-instead they've got the harry potter movies on at the weekend in a loop! there's no chance of a free nostalgia channel if they have dvds they are desperately trying to sell of old shows out there on a shelf...
MrVidification Yeah that's true. It could be called "Nostalgia TV" or something. Even if someone makes the channel I'll still praise them for doing it. ^_^
BloodyRedStar I would've thought there'd be something on paid for satellite tv by now but I only have the basic free rubbish-the extra channels now on tv are terrible for ad breaks, every 5 mins
Born in '74 and my preteen and teen years were in the 80s and early 90s in the U.K. Such great memories of these awesome cartoons I grew up with...especially on Saturday mornings!! Still watch them today at aged 48. And I love these better than today's cartoons and CGI remakes. Thanks for these memories!!!
Hell--I'll be 30 in July but I can never say goodbye to my childhood!!!! I watch these forever and ever!!!!! I'm a Toys R Us Kid and little girl at heart forever!!!!!!
Yes, I think you're right. I'm from Rome; I was born in 1974 and so I remember very well cartoons of my boyhood: I remember Mask (the original opening was keep in the italian version in english), the flinstones (local version ''the ancestors'' = ''gli antenati'') and He-man, as ''american''. The rest, maybe, the 88% Japanises with ''italian opening'' (wonderful!). Grets from Rome! :-)
men! you should see my faces watch this.. just felt like a kid again. I remember sitting in front of the tv almost all day.. God! I really missed being a kid. God bless the memories of the past.
This was the times when real things were on television :) :) Awww the 80 -90 best times ever for tv i belive ..:) I miss thoose times ,i want it to be thoose times again.
Very good, but are missing: Pole Position, Gobots, Spiral Zone, Captain Planet, Robocop, Cops, Teen Wolf, Turbo Man, Jace and the wheeled Warriors, and many others. Maybe a top 100 could get them all :D
It's Well Deserved it started way Before the Other Versions that followed afterwards and the Spinoff Bayformers 5 Movies and put back On Proper Course the Spinoff ("Bumblebee").
I would of imagined both robotech & voltron. Had appeared much higher on the list. Because those two shows were very popular. With a cult like following plus included toys.
These toons puts smile on my face 😊. Learn to draw by watching thems. Made cartbord models of mask vehicles with my late brother. Now these toons put tears in my eyes.
G.I.Joe is #1 in my opinion, less color mistakes than Transformers but the scripts were great for both series. Jem deserves to be much higher. Snorks should be lower.
TheFenzakosu I SO agree! The story between Rick, Lisa, and Minmei was awesome. The mecha, the realism (main characters got hurt and/or died), the great soundtrack, the love story, and the message of war, this cartoon was the best!
I’m 39 and wish I was a kid again back during these times...better then in peaceful times then having to deal with all the violence today. I feel for the kids in today’s generation and wish they knew what it was like but never will.
Man I love 80s and early 90s cartoons - And I wasn't even born til the late 90s. They have a certain feel to them that later eras just lack. So fortunate to have grown up with SOME older cartoons at least
I understand these were just made to push toys but these have so much more heart and skill put into them than any of the modern stuff. I wasn't even alive back when these were made, nor did I grow up with any of them but I still feel that way
OMG.. KIDD VIDEO... I almost forgot about that show. One of my personal favorites growing up in the 80's. Of course, THUNDARR!!!! However, the only anime I remember back then was Voltron (which would have been my number 4). Thanks for sharing these. Talk about walking down memory lane. Allot I didn't know about since I mostly watched cartoons in the early to mid 80's and then grew up enough to chase girls by 1987. lol.. Awesome stuff. Thank you for this.
+Joesph Kerr Smurfs were huge. They were top sellers for most of the eighties generation. Musical records, dolls, movies. Hell, they are still making movies about them. They maybe aren't #2 but it's certainly not absurd to have them ranked pretty high.
i dont know hoy a got to this vid , cause i dont remember thinking of looking up no cartoon, but im here now so great vid , y remember most of them !!!
Wow so many cartoons. Dragon ball was in the 90's . I remember godzilla, super friends and others I can't remember their names right now. Awesome clips though. Thanks for the Saturday and after school memory's.
