Sowing Coworkers VR. Last year I brought in my Windows MR along with my gaming laptop and thought this would be easy to setup at the office. It was but I was limited in showing my coworkers within the confines of my office and this was was somewhat disruptive. I literally shoving coworkers into my office avoiding the risk of them getting in trouble with HR. BUT last week when I unboxed the Quest at the office I was able to quickly setup/download and hop from cubical to cubical to the breakroom showing the Quest. And usually when asking them if they want to try it is "OH I tried VR at 6 flags bla bla bla.... it made me sick". But once I got one of them to try it everybody wanted a turn. And ones that bitched about getting sick well... "Wow... Oh my god... this is cool" (Job Simulator). Then I would say "Stand Up" "WHAT?" "Stand Up" " Whow...... I CAN SEE OVER THE CUBICLES". The fallowing week one of my coworkers bought a Quest for his son. The short story is he came home finding his wife watching a movie on floor on her back. She uses it more than her son.

I'd also heavily reccomend 'Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes', it's an amazing short-round co-op game where you (or whoever is wearing the headset) have a bomb and have to difuse it (there'll be a bunch of modules on it that are each their own little puzzle), but someone that isn't wearing the headset has the bomb defusal manual (which can be acquired online the game's website) and basically, has to ask what the bomb holder sees and be the puzzle solver. It's great, I just got it yesterday and I got to watch my younger brother and a friend just absolutely shred one bomb after another. Better yet, it's one of the cheaper games.

i took my Quest to work and a friend shes never tried VR before and was skeptical and i told her she will love Moss and i just put her into it from the start and she loved it and now wants a Quest herself and keeps asking when im taking back into work with me haha.

I've had a rift for a while and one day one of my friends brought their oculus quest with them to my house. I was literally just in the menu screen for 5 minutes, I excused myself and left, then returned with a quest of my own like 10 minutes later. That was a good day.

I have let about 15 or so people try Superhot, Beat Saber and Tilt Brush. Every single one of those people fell in love with the quest and a few went out and bought one.

Very nice video. First Contact and Nat Geo are also my main go-to experiences for VR newbies. One minor correction, I believe you referred to 6 DoF as "depths of field" instead of "degrees of freedom" when talking about First Contact.

If someone's a meme lord and quite sociable then you can also show them VRchat. Hell, that game is fun despite social skills. There's also bigscreen for any cinephiles (I think that's the word) out there. Beatsaber might be a bit fast and vibrant for some, especially the old but I don't want to insult anybody's intelligence by warning them to not overwork Grandma Pheb.

I think it should of been a light headset with a control box attached to your body for the processing power. That way it'll be light on your head for extended play, and it'll be upgradable to cope with the big games like lone echo. At the moment, it's too top heavy and you'll be moving it around and removing it of your face every 5 minutes. The immersion is good but motion sickness is horrible and you'll be laying down recovering from it. I've noticed I'm falling into a weird stare when I type on my phone keyboard missing keys and have to snap out of it to regain focus. I never felt that before I used the Quest. Anyway, it's no problem. I am on my second quest. I have the 128GB version, with the stuff loaded already on the device when you first switch it on, I had 109GB. If you're using side quest and loading movies like 3D movies or 1080p those can be 2GB each so if you're using it a lot like that with games, I'd recommend the 128GB version. I've had a bad pixel and my casting to my phone freezing after 5 seconds. It's uncomfortable for long usage. It's a good idea but to be light, it needs the processing power and gubbins in a separate box strapped to your body. The headset just needs its tracking cameras, its strap and obviously its screens. Put everything else in a small powerful upgradable box. You'd have more people enjoying VR then because VR is where games should be at now instead of the old fashioned 2D flat screen ways.

i let my friend borrow my quest because he a star wars fan, i have Vader immortal on it. when i came back for it we went to buy another quest for himself. also, i got one of those leather vr covers before he borrowed it and i ending up letting him keep one of those covers because there was so much sweat on it.

saying near the end ... "The Quest or PC VR" as if PSVR wasn't the most successful VR platform, the most comfortable, and the most accessible/affordable. I own Quest and PSVR and the Quest is just amazing for room scale and no cords. PSVR is meat and potatos of my VR gaming. lots of multiplayer fun to be had on the PSN.

BeatSaber not being a Cross play game pisses me off! I own it on Steam and Oculus Store (Rift).. Their stupid twitter post about being unfair to Steam users is complete BS! People who buy it on Steam play it on Steam! People who buy it on Oculus play it on Oculus! And their other excuse about development time costs money only shows the lack of care they have for their game and "lets face it" was way more popular than that thought because of "MODS".. and asking $30 for it just too money grabby.. So unless it goes Crossplay. I won't be playing it on my Quest, same with SuperHot, no need for it not to be Cross Play and charging those prices for it.. :S I wonder if the High price with low sales VS low price and more sales is worth the trade off..
