Silent Insanity honestly that's as legal as you can get with mother 3. Since there isn't even a virtual console version of mother 3 even in Japanese, I think it's purely justified.

It is, I really want everyone to go out and play it, but it's like a Kindle over a legitimate book, there's something about holding the offical, real thing in your hands, over a emulation, or a fan cartridge. Nothing of the offical game really changes other then probably some translation differences, but...we all wish it could come over officially in some way, shape, or form.

you see in civilisation there was a glitch in the game whereupon if you got the technology that reduced the aggression of all AI factions by 3, but because gandhi was already at 1 he was sent back up to 99. form there it has been a running joke in the series

In the original game, Gandhi had the lowest aggression value possible, but when the AI researches democracy, their aggression values go lower. This caused Gandhi's aggression to loop around to a value higher than the game even allows, making him a bloodthirsty, nuke-happy maniac as soon as he implemented a democratic government.

An unpopular choice and not likely to be in the video but I've always hated Marche from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance... He wants to return to the "real world" just because the FF one isn't what he grew up in. For the first time he has friends (At least close friends), his brother isn't in a wheelchair and doesn't have to go to the hospital all the time. Mewt's mother is alive and his dad isn't a drunk loser. Marche is willing to give up /all of that/ because it isn't the reality he's used to. Just because it wasn't real before doesn't mean it isn't real now. Shit gets me real heated yo

I fucking hated that kid. And Mewt's father as a judge wasn't all that great either, abandoning his son again and turning his back on his queen, and even undermining the efforts of Llednar Twem just to prove a point. What a loser. I just got FFTA2 for my 3ds a couple of months ago, and so far I can easily say that Luso is clearly a much cooler and all around better protagonist than Marche. I'd like to see those two fight, just because I want to see Luso fuck Marche's shit up.

let's just say that sora's own character unintentionally created more than one character/nobody when he became a heartless. With one of those characters being influenced in its initial stages of its creation by one of the organization members. That's about as simple of an explanation of xion you're probably gonna get. (without major spoilers anyway)

Xander hints at afterwards that he let you win because he knows you're right about having to kill the king, which probably makes it worse.

The game not only makes you kill a non monstrous/demon dog but a noble demon dog that begins limping and falling over. Like fucking Monster Hunter or something...

Meme Dream Machine Wheatley from Portal 2 is one for me. When you think about the fact that he is only acting evil because GLaDOS' power is too much for him, and the genuine enthusiasm about escaping he had early on, seeing him desperately trying and failing to keep his composure and the facility under control is pretty disheartening, even when he is trying to kill you. His speech in space after the credits really cements his place as a tragic character.

FanaticMarioMan I thought for sure he would've picked Ryoma's fight from Conquest instead, since he was always hyped to be the nobleman, but instead takes the coward's way out by commuting sepoku (suicide) instead.

Too bad he probably hasn't played many older FEs. Galle from FE6 or Camus from FE1/11 or the characters like them are also very great. Xander is a part of the Camus archetype, after all.

But slicing his own stomach open was the noble way out as a Samurai.

+Krash Boom Bang For me, the most tragic Camus bosses in FE were the Reed Brothers from Blazing Sword, though the other guys you mentioned are notable cases too.

Cartoon Critic oh totally. The reeds (as well as all of the non-Nergal Fang members) were very tragic, since they and their organization were manipulated by Nergal. Also, FE8 Selena is a good one. Shiharam too.

I think Asgore is the most depressing. The fight is set up to have both opponents not wanting to fight with Asgore constantly making sure you're ready and Alphys warning you. Also, the fight no matter what, always ends with Asgore's death.

K4RN4GE911 Asgore and Undyne both have horrible neutral deaths. Asgore decides not to kill you and instead wants to raise you alongside Toriel, only to be killed by Flowey, (SPOILERS) his own son. Whereas Undyne is dying as she tries to cling on to the last bit of hope that she'll stop at any second.

If i did had to pick a Depressing boss fight in Fire Emblem in general, I would probably rather pick between Sacred Stones where it's the last chapter before the end game and you have to kill your close friend, and Blazing Sword of fighting either Linus/Llyod who are angry that you killed their brother even thou it wasn't you.

Sans was heartbreaking in the sense of him calling out what you've done when he says his last line. Undyne is heartbreaking in the sense of hard work for nothing. Her pure form is finally reached but it doesn't matter because you are too strong and her last line is eerie.

Honestly, I always found the Asgore fight more sad than either of them.

I'm not too knowledgeable about most Visual Novels, but as far as I know most of the best ones do contain H-Scenes. So I think the list would be full of just purely 'ok' games, instead of great ones.

You've got games like Danganronpa and Phoenix Wright which are all about solving murders and they're some great games in general and you've got games like the Zero Escape franchise which focus on people trying to escape, King of in the title. But I'm sure there's plenty of material to work with other than your average visual novel game on steam you play for 4 hours then never touch again.

SoulsBorne Gaming The souls series just isn't my kind of game to play, I mean the hax in Pokemon has caused me to rage-quit time and time again. It's sad but when RNG decides to fuck you over it's infuriating. I don't have the patience to put up with the Souls games. So Dark Souls 1-3, Demon Souls and Bllodborne just aren't for me. But I do like watching the boss fights as I personally find it fascinating to watch. You have to remember that the souls series (and Bloodborne) are an acquired taste. So going as far as calling me a scrub isn't very nice (I know that's not saying much), but maybe learn not to be so harsh.

JokersRWild in my opinion Asgore and Toriel are the only depressing fights, because it's depressing all the way through, whereas the others it's only the death (or in The True Heroine's case the lead up to it as well) that makes you feel depressed. Asgore's fight is the most depressing because you have to go back on your pacifism that you have worked so hard to maintain because he FORCES you to kill him. Or at least put his health down to almost zero. This lovable fuzzy creature that you'd only known for two rooms (who mind you is just as hospitable as Toriel) demands that you kill him, ridding the underground of a leader. That is fucking depressing

Random Cluster Missile The Sans fight is probably the most depressing one when you really think about what it actually is. It's Sans aware that a virtually unbeatable monster killed all his friends, and him giving it his all to prevent said monster from doing anymore damage. Said monster is you. It may be frustrating in the moment, but afterwards, it'll only make you feel empty.

Thomas Manley But Mustafa did more than that. The entire fucking level and cutscene leading up to him was depressing as shit, with the people being forced to fight him or risk execution. Also, Alice was just a magnificent fight, setup, cutscene before, aftereffect, music, and personality. There was not a single flaw in that fight.

mustafa just felt shoehorned in imo. I've got nothing against Awakening but they're really milking Emmeryn's death with the whole chapter.

In order for it to be reborn the world needs to be destroyed first.

The ending is up for interpretation. Personally, I think that the world was destroyed and was reborn as the same world it was before technology corrupted everything. That's why the ending logo for 'Mother 3' is made completely out of wood instead of before when it was wood covered mostly in metal (representing the world of Mother 3 after Porky introduced bad technology)

Diamond Falcon Xion may be a boring character for me (seriously, only her death made her this memorable and loved; and yeah, it's a sad death, but if it wasn't for that it she would have been boring), but the fight is the only tragic one in the series

Xion's one of those cases where I only ever see people talk about how "sad" her death was, but because she was so bland when she was alive, no one talks about what else she might've had going for her. What annoys me about this kind of thing is the fact that it sends writers the message that they can use death as a cheap substitute for actual development, a crime the KH series has committed no less than twice now.

heropon12 l I find those 2 fights better than the one with Xion (Roxas from KH2FM is my 2nd favorite fight in the series), but they stand out just as a fight. The Roxas fight was intense as hell, with spectacular moves, the best reaction command in the game and the melodramatic music which I listen on my phone everyday. Terra vs Xehanort phase 1/2 was a simple confrontation against good and evil where you finally get the chance to get your revenge on Xehanort for what he has done, while Lingering Will vs Terranort was more like the reason why the LW exists and countless game overs because of how difficult the fight was; oh, and "Black powder" wasn't tragic and all (it's good, but it doesn't help the tragic value in the slightest) and "Rage Awakened - The Origin" is a theme you already heard. Xion may has the worst gameplay of all (with Days having an arcade-type gameplay, but not as bullcrap as Chain of Memories), but the development between Roxas and Xion's relationship (even if it looks boring) coming to this point where it's clear you're going to kill her and "Vector to the Heavens" playing during the final phase makes the fight stand out as a more tragic one. Sure, Roxas is a good runner up and a greater boss battle, but despite the almost funeral theme, he literally showed up 3/4 of the game after the prologue and only after you learn his connection to Sora (if you played KH2 before Days, of course). It may look like Lucas vs Claus in Mother 3, but the tragic value happened during mid fight (from what I can see, since I ever played it). Sorry for the essay. That's what I think

I'm one of the few people who enjoy kh's story (cheesiness/plotholes included). Roxas was basically the equivalent of a sheltered kid with little tact/sense with girls. I get why people cringe at the death scene, but I still kind of feel for roxas cause his after work schedule in the organization revolved around 1 thing. Might have seemed stupid/silly for us, but it meant a lot for him and I can't completely bash him for that. But oh well, the story is the only reason I even come back to this game (multiplayer sometimes being the second)
