If you do not know why they got attacked is for Clarkson's number plate: H982 FKL. On Argentina they referred that plate as the war on 1982 on Falklands Islands who Britain win. The 3 cars got stuck in Argentina, the cars never arrived to Chile. The cars got destroyted in Argentina for order of the government, the police denied to protect the crew and all the team, they only decided to go with them on the trip to leave Argentina. It was a stupid decision of the argentinians to attack them.

Love how they played "For Your Eyes Only" when May came in with the Esprit. Good nod to the fact that Roger Moore's Bond drove at least 3 Esprits throughout his career.

let me just say that Top Gear crew went to Iraq, and managed to return safely; went to Vietnam carrying a bike that literally smells 'AMERICA' and also managed to return safely. But Argentina? nope.

I was in the British army just after the Falklands Conflict. All I'll say is that Buenos Ares and Mendoza are incredible places, and the people I met were wonderful, and so friendly. A stunning country, the drive over the Andes to Chile is incredible - but the highpoint was meeting fabulous people in Argentina.

As an Argentine I always wanted top gear to come to Argentina to do a road trip, it is a wonderful country to explore by car. It is sad that everything ended like this. don't hate us, we are not all like these people.

i remember being really excited to see them play car football at the end and then i was so sad when it ended :(

That lotus is insane. Supposedly the most unreliable car in the bunch and yet never broke down or got stuck a single time. It even beat the Porsche.

For anyone curious, there's another reason why Jeremy has a special place in his heart for the 928. It has to do with the passing of his father. Thanks to a 928, he got to spend one final half hour moment with him before his father left this world.

The way May stepped out of his car is the best thing I've seen all day.
