Agree 💯 % the fact that the actors subjected themselves to intense flight training & those G-forces in the real jets should guarantee them a lock on some awards...then again, we know how the Oscars are but I'm sure Top Gun Maverick will win a lot of people's choice awards and at the end of the day, those are the awards that matter.
@@d26075foxy Top Gun Maverick is the THIRD movie to flatten the Hollywood "rules" tire.... First Deadpool, then Joker, now Maverick.... also before Maverick they showed a trailer of the next Mission Impossible and it looked frikkin awesome. Tom Cruise is making movies for the big screen and it shows. He is single-handedly opposing the "streaming regime" and I am all for him winning the fight.
The whole soundtrack to Maverick, not just this song, just brings me chills and or tears. This movie is so moving because of the soundtrack. It’s powerful. Can’t wait until this movie comes out in DVD. I’m so glad I got to witness a TopGun movie upon its release
Agree. After watching the movie, I bought the movie soundtrack cd immediately. It's now the only cd I'm playing in my car with track favorites #3, #5, #6, and #12. Track #3 is "Darkstar" and whenever I hear this fast pace music, I just want to bolt running! ......It's a masterpiece!
The Top Gun:Maverick soundtrack is pure gold just like the movie. Lorne Balfe is a brilliant composer and looking forward to hear the upcoming Mission Impossible soundtrack.
In middle school in the mid-late 80s we played this song. As clarinet I had the melody. Something about feeling the music inside you while you play stays with you. This tune means so much to me.
Lorne Balfe is the new generation of James Horner (RIP) ... such a great classical tone... he nailed it it on Top Gun Maverick alongside Hans Zimmer & Harold Faltermyer.
Makes me miss playing in an orchestra so badly. You truly do not get this sound after the production crews come through and mix and master and dub everything for "modern sensibilities". It would be amazing to hear this soundtrack with an official version that is mixed more like this without all the crazy production that, while beautiful in its own right, disconnects you from the fidelity of the instruments and takes away the natural feel somehow. This sounds so much more human, even in its simplicity. I'd listen all day.
Might be tricky getting the jets to fly around inside the theater😎. Plus it would get expensive blowing a bunch up every night. Same thing with the staging of titanic. I told them that but no one listened.....
This is the most beautiful version I've ever heard, loved it. Well done to all those talented musicians and their conductor, this piece is on the very top of my fav music playlist tracks. Brought a tear to the eye at one point, well done 👏
Not bad but I am missing that iconic bell sound at the beginning that let me shiver at the theatre as soon as I heard it as the movie "Top Gun-Maverick" started... What a fantastic movie !!!
@@jimpeters7272 I did as well, and I agree. I believe it’s just because it hits so much harder in theaters. All the sounds are much more intense and in your face.
I want this playing at my wedding as my wife walks the aisle and I’m in a tux with aviator sunglasses on waiting, then an F-14 flies overhead as we kiss. I’ve got it all mapped out…now I just need a girl to actually love me back
Well, you may want a Superhornet instead, unless you get married in Iran who use F-14's today. I too don't have a girl yet, but here's the catch bro. I love her so much, the universe has told me we are meant to be together, but she has anxiety, and it is making it hard to tell her my feelings.
I’m getting married in September and would love this to walk down the aisle to. Is there anywhere I can download the full version? I have goosebump over my entire body!! Xxx
Mr. Balfe, a lot of the score as heard in the film seems to be missing. For example, my personal favorite was the segment that plays when we first see Maverick again and he's looking at his old photos of Goose. Hope that gets released some day.
It’s beautiful! I love the music you created for MI: Fallout. I sense the same signature sound with the sharp Cello movements (sorry, don’t know how to accurately describe). Thank you!
This is one of my pedal steel guitar projects that I'm still working on. I play the original version with the "odd" key changes and modulations. Still looking for new ideas and this arrangement sounds like a cool one to try out!
