You are absolutely correct my friend, Joe’s collection of built to the hilt crawlers and bashers is second to none in my opinion as well. Joe buddy, those wheels are the sickest I’ve seen in a long time. I’m fixin to get me a Max 4 and 560 to build something sick soon.
Yeah man. He should definitely be past the others. He's my favorite channel. Mad amount of videos, with built to the max rigs, even larger scale are built to the max. Can't beat this channel and its content.
I do love my 5th scales, the big boys just roll over everything like its not even there and the buggies are just so efficient vs the trucks, gotta love em.
Hello Nice 1/5 Rig. I have a 5B as well and 5T converted with Losi brushless kit. I just checked both my cars steering assembly. It looks like you have the wrong Allen head bolts in the steering "drag-link" assembly above its bearings. There should be specific length " built in" flat head washer allen bolts that you cant over tighten. The entire drag-link kit with bolts is $35 at DDM..... I wish the top fight kit used the losi chassis inserts to set pinion as I feel they will stay set better with vibration. Thanks for your vids:)!!!
THERE is the main obstacle to high performance- breaking parts! Even my gasser bajas and 5iveB started busting shafts and pins when I moved up to 45cc and OBR 34cc reed engines. My friends run highly modded Xmaxxes, I don't they ever make it thru a day without serious issues. Incredibly impressive when they run tho! I even started shredding bead-locked tires, they would just explode! Can't imagine trying to keep a 12s ANYTHING alive, the instant torque is just going to break stuff...
Great video bud.🫡🤘 It look great.😍 So wend it comes to the steering issue it looks like they have replaced the original bolt and spacer for the bearing and standard bolt. It needs either the original set up or get a flanged bearing and a washer/spacer. Now wend it comes to drive pins you may want to get better pins if you plan on using those tires.😅
Seems as simple as possibly using the larger Brp's for better clearance?? Might be something to consider vs changing everything for smaller tires to work. Also might get a mild speed improvement from the larger roll mass. I'm sure you know all of this and then some, it's just easy to get caught up in upgrading which awesome if it needs it. I'd get aluminum diff cases before more upgrades to makes the tires work. Just a opinion. 👍👍👍
Cool video and amazing looking parts, I wish Losi\TLR were still producing 5ive-B's i don't know if there coming back or not but i really wish they don't discontinue the 5ive-T next.
For the life of me i cant understand y losi discontinued the losi 5b. I have the 5t 2.0 with flier 16s esc an tp 650kv and really want the 5b. Specifically with all the new big 8s-12s system's out that look perfect in there.
It’s a niche market and most probably buyers of RTRs may not even care about 7075 vs 6061 etc especially when we are talking about 1/5 scale which is always going to be expensive. Long winded way of saying that if there was enough demand, I’m sure Losi or someone would sell one. I for one am strongly biased against 6061 vehicles (like the DBXLE) since it is like a wet noodle compared to 7075.
What does just one of those 7 inch BRP Spike wheel and tire weigh? That 7 inch height is just what I'm looking for to put on my Kraton XL. With the extra length of the XL chassis, a set of 7 inch tires would look perfect for it. Not sure about performance but they sure would look good on it.
I run a set of jbi 24mm extended hubs on my Kraton XL and a set of 5th scale nobby tires on it with a old big rock 6s body I got long ago and painted white that looks so perfect all together.
The standard super spikes are about 560g. Top Level RC has Kraton Hub Adapters too! There is another RU-vidr GapAtoZ that shows BRP hub adapters on the Kraton, it’s dope.
I run the M2C +5mm hubs on my XL currently and love the way it rides and hugs the ground with them. M2C makes some super nice stuff. My XL is almost all M2C stuff. I do have the CRCU tower to tower brace on it as M2C didn't have any at the time. I wish I could share a pic of my XL. I love it and am super proud of it.
