Here we go! I've been wanting to jump into creating reaction/commentary content for months but when I came across this video... I felt compelled to respond and debunk the misleading claims that were presented. I am creating these videos for entertainment and educational purposes. Please do not contact this woman on her social media platforms or send her hateful comments/messages, facial blurring is being used to protect identity. Her video is being used only as an example of the manipulative and predatory nature of multi-level marketing companies and the claims their representatives make. I do not condone online bullying or harassment.

I absolutely DESPISE the whole “everyone washes their hair” thing..like ya no shit, however not everyone (in reality very very few people) spend a bazillion dollars on their shampoo and conditioner ESPECIALLY when said products have an absolute awful reputation!! Like even people who do spend a decent amount on their hair products and use like salon quality products aren’t gonna switch over to monat!!

Soooo is this her example of teaching and showing how to lead? I guess that explains why so many Monat huns behave the way they do. Also the trying to convince absolutely everyone to join “your business” is so weird. I mean I know why they do it… but ick 🚩 I’m a vet nurse and I tell at least three people a week that vet nursing is absolutely NOT for everyone and that their concerns for why they think that they couldn’t do it are usually very good reasons not to become one! It’s almost as if when you’re in an MLM you have an ulterior motive to get someone to join 🙃

Absolutely! There’s actually a very strong connection between multi-level marketing companies and cults. Steve Hassan (a mental health counselor specializing in cults) has done a lot of research regarding how MLM relates to his BITE Model of Authoritarian Control. Super fascinating!!

The response of “you sucked because you quit” reminds me of arbonne when I was 20. My two uplines sat me down at a Starbucks and literally made me cry they told me I was failing and not trying hard enough and if I didn’t start making money/recruiting they would stop mentoring me. I was too young and vulnerable. I wish I could go back in time and tell me not to let them bully me. Sigh. I wish that was my last mlm. I was desperate in 2017 about 10 years later. And I can’t even fit the drama manipulation and gaslighting of my beachbody coach. Blah. Never again.

Some of these women in MLN's are downright mean. They have an bullying personality. I am so happy these women are putting all of this on camera nowadays to document their mean girl tactics. They won't be able to deny the misleading lies when time comes to be accountable. Hannah keep up the good work your truely making a difference. Exposing these women is important so, eventually, hopefully, they can do better for women as a whole team, not just a self centered 'their team'.

What an amazing video! I’ve known a couple of gals who have been in this “business” for years. It’s so sad to see them have to manipulate others by shaming those who aren’t in an MLM. Let alone also promote other commission/referrals programs… which to me is a speculation of not making what they “say they make”

I love everything about this video! One thing I'd love to have you address is, what should we do who actually do love a product that is MLM and we got obsessed with it before we realized that it was that, but it really is a legit great product and we haven't found anything that compares, but now we feel dirty buying it!

That's a great question! My two suggestions would be 1) Find that product on a resale platform like Ebay, Poshmark, or Amazon and buy it through there. Oftentimes when you find these products for sale on the resale market, it's because a rep has decided to leave the MLM and they're trying to recoup some of the money they lost from buying inventory/products. So you can purchase directly from them and help them make some money back while not supporting the business model directly. 2) Google dupes! You can find dupes for nearly every single MLM product out there. There's lots of people that are in your exact situation where they love the product but they don't want to support the MLM business model. Lots of blogs and forums out there with dupe suggestions that people have discovered!

I have been convinced into 2 different MLM's in the past - Mary Kay and Modere. Both are dangerous because you have to meet a quota or have a subscription to maintain your discount. I ended up with so much extra product that just sat in my house. It was terrible. I was spending money just to stay active and I wasn't even using all the products. I spent money, when I didn't have it. I will never ever get involved in another MLM and I try to avoid purchasing from them at all costs.

She missed the "corporate pyramid" thing, which actually has an element of truth to it. While it is true that top executives have more experience and abilities that lower-level workers and therefore should be paid more, the amount they are paid is way more than this would justify.

I really appreciate you saying this. Hannah frequently talks about CEOs having more education & incurring more “risk” & that justifying their greater pay. I don’t like this justification because I don’t see how being in charge/going to school qualifies you to make hundreds or thousands of dollars per HOUR (in some cases) more than the people actually creating the products & providing tangible services to end consumers. We don’t truly value labor & that’s a real shame.

Peas in a pod. When you get to it, you don't access and executive possition neccesarily because your work harder or have more knowledge/experience. You get there by virtue of how many people you know in the industry, because you inherited "the opportunity" to run a bussiness, by networking and jumping possitions. Or you buy into your possition by investing in the bussiness, and owning a significant part of it. And only then you hire people that actually have the education and experience to do the actual job. Executives and mlmers behave like chickens. They follow a pecking order that puts empathy out of the equation, and can be very productive doing "whatever is neccesary to get results". But they only achieve a high productivity by supressing the productivity or access to resources for those around them. And if they face competition, or lack a supply of people to exploit because they move on before they can be milked; they react agressively and seek to put people in "their place" with things such as "you'll never achieve hapiness/amount to anything" etc

That doesn't make MLMs the solution though.. Yes there are Issues in corporate jobs but even if you are a mid/low level worker you get paid.. In MLMs you are not guaranteed any pay at all no matter how hard you work.. And most people end up losing money.. Also in normal jobs you don't prey on vulnerable people and you don't shame and blame people

Besides all the good points you made, her creaky voice got on my last nerve. I know that’s a personal criticism, but I’ve noticed a large percentage of MLM huns have either a super high-pitched voice or a creaky voice. As someone highly attuned to voices I find those voices so irritating.
