I just texted a friend to watch this video. I think our community can massively benefit from pros throwing mixed bags and doing unbiased reviews like this. The fact Infinite is one of your sponsors and you state that you didn't like their putter speaks volumes of your ability to be truly unbiased. I throw full trilogy myself. I don't claim they have the best discs. I haven't thrown all companies. I just love supporting them for many reasons. I like their pros. I like their media team. I also love being a team trilogy member and get a discount on discs. For those who don't have non-fanboy reasons to be brand loyal, are going to get huge benefits from your opinions. They know they will be able to fully trust exactly what you say. Even for me, I'm loyal to trilogy, but I don't buy into the hype-train for certain discs. I buy the discs I want. I bag the discs I want. I try not to buy everything I'm told to buy. But seriously, this is amazing. I can't wait to see more videos like this.

Not sure how familiar you are with the idea of the Berg, but that disc is intended to be an overstable approach disc that has a bit of a range cap on it. At high speed straight out the hand, it glides like most any putter would, but as the speed drops the disc loses glide fast. If you really watch the flight you start to notice the sudden drop. And very little skip or slide. So it's pretty useful when approaching a basket with OB behind, like that last hole at Fountain Hills at the Memorial. I'd encourage you play with it a bit. A lot of people find it useful enough to bag. And some people find it so useful it's like a cult.

I love the Stego! It is ultimate distance control/get out of jail. The more spin and speed you put on it, the more it dumps. Perfect for anything 180 ft and shorter both forehand and backhand.

Stego is for forehand roller throws and the around a large obstacle in putter/approach type throw. I have seen a Disc Golf player use a Stego for a Forehand roller very well, the OS of the disc helps for that kind of shot to not turn over.

Oh that Stego shot was priceless😂😂😂 I've always wanted to see a true power arm throw it. I've read DGCR reviews about that disc. They say the harder you throw it, the more overstable it acted.

Very entertaining! Laughed like mad at his reaction and diatribe on that weird putter toward the end. My god, has this sport ever come a long way. I don't remember seeing too many people throw like this back in the nineties. Maybe Stokely. I saw him throw a Magnet 50 feet past a 350' hole and that was the first time I ever saw somebody throw a putter like most of us throw drivers. There was a ripple of whispers in the crowd: "that was a Magnet that was a Magnet that was a Magnet". We stood there with our jaws on the ground. A visual of that lanky arm ripping that putter is one of those Disc Golf memories I'll never forget. Fast-forward to today, and Gibson's form here looks machine-like. I'm speechless.

I will always come back to this video for that Stego reaction. Just fantastic.

I bag 2 stegos and I needed a long time to understand the disc but it is amazing for controlled upshifts when it hits the ground it stops and doesnt like to roll. Also you can put it on a massive anheizer shots to let it flex out or throw around corners. But if you want a super accurate forehand roller disc the stego is the best one I have found to handle the power that people put into a forehand roller

If you throw the stego as a tomahawk or a thumber on a roller angle that disc flies closer to 300. Or you can just throw it upside down and it does better. For a use it really only makes sense if your in the woods and your literally in a jail of small vertical gaps because if you throw it on a tomahawk through the initial vert gap it’ll flip back to flat and carry a good ways

Drew you should get a K1 Berg and throw it and send a picture to Anders (the guy who owns Kastaplast) and they might make you a special run of the discs, they made a Longest Berg from a distance comp and it was only 112m (370ft) so I bet you would beat it

500 ft putters 😯 holy moly. I was expecting 4-425 honestly but when the stego was 200+ and didn’t look that far, I knew the others were going to be BOMBED 🤩. You are amazing though

I bought a Stego a few weeks ago to throw for kicks. It’s a more beefy Pig for turning corners or approach shots where you want a highly predictable finish similar to desired results from overhand shots. I’ll never bag it, but glad you included it in your video

I was rolling at the Stego part. As soon as you pulled it out I knew what was in store. Dude, take it to a course and play a Stego only round. This is your mission. Also, MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS. Freaking great idea for a video.

The RDG Stego is perfect for short, steep downhill holes with OB right behind the basket. Just rip it nice and flat and watch it drop right under the pin P.S. It flies further when thrown upside down

I got 10 in different plastics. I love this disc. Also if you need a more overstable one get the firm plastic. If you want it to be a bit more straight flying or understable get the super silly soft or the soft coffee blend.

The steggo is not meant to go far. Lol! That’s why I love it for upshots within 175. Scramble shots and also if the basket is right behind the tree.

When we had Eagle throw the stego at a clinic, he got it 300ft. He also hated it though.

I occasionally bag Berg for upshots, because it doesn't really glide and it just drops at the end. I didn't think it can be turned over, but thank you for proving me wrong. Impressive power, but we all knew that. For midrange section I hope you take Kastaplast's Kaxe although it is more of a hybrid between midrange and a fairway driver and might not be fair comparison to real midranges. Flies almost like a Teebird although I haven't thrown Teebirds in 10 years or so and not sure how the new ones fly. The best disc manufacturer that I have seen in 15 years what comes to consistency and quality. No sharp edges and good plastic. Not very wide range of discs and they bring basically one disc per year.

Kastaplast Berg's numbers are 1, 1, 0, 2. Great approach disc with minimal ground action! Nice to see you throw one. World record with it so far is 112m/368ft. Would love to see you beat it!

Try the Prodigy PA-3 in the 300G...I haven't tried ripping it out there yet, but for general putter/approach shots it has givin me my furthest basket makes so far and it's my newest putter that has been thrown the least

Great to see you put your disc golf shoes on when you arrive. Because if you wear your disc golf shoes for anything except playing disc golf, they wear out really quickly.

I just ordered a new DX Roc and thought it would be orange BUT it was cyan with purple lettering. I was happy to about the surprise 👍🏻 it also makes it exciting not knowing exactly what u r getting I think.

I have a buddy who has a Stego. When I threw it, I release it flat and it hit me in the back foot. J/k but it was hard to get to go, but drew threw it crazy far. FYI it’s good for upshots because you know it’s not going to flip or glide away. It’s not really going to glide at all.

I wonder if a spyke hyzer with the Stego flies similar to a grenade shot with a normal disc. You would be able to throw grenades without the thumb pain.

Could you show us your grip with the putters? Im powergriping everything except putters, find it to hard and inconsistant with large beads. I can throw midranges around 450 ft but find it to hard with putters to max it out. I can fangrip it decent distance but for sure powergrip generates alot more spin equals distance alteast for me. Whats your grip? Really much appreciated the vid!
