It's true, this game does feel pretty similar to Slasher's Keep. Although I don't think you can cheese the final boss in this one as easily.

Ive gotta agree with @andrewnash2492 on this one. This game is definitely a lot more fast paced than you might think. Also, with the combos you should be able to have a visible HUD option for them where you can see what combos you can do, and if you apply shuffle to it, you can get buffs and other various bonuses from doing multiple in a row. Hope you can delve into this one a little more, its very enjoyable for how quick it is

Robo quest is another nice little FPS rougelike, it just got its 1.1 update and it plays pretty nice

The claw attacks remind sooo much of TES:IV Oblivion's unarmed attacks, they must have taken inspiration for sure!

Hey Hutts I doubt you'll be playing this again but I will point out the slower playstyle doesn't fit this game as well as you'd think, you need to be more aggressive and forward with it while eventually mastering the combo input and like kick, bash, strike does a special combo, the durability system while super annoying sometimes if you just don't constantly tank damage armor very rarely breaks as well as weapons. You brought up Zeldas durability system and I think you may have missed that this game shares basically the same idea of constantly swapping gear for better gear, its important to not only take in the individual stats of every piece of gear but also the extra perks on it, for example there's a class later that gets the ability to activate a whirlwind whenever they want if you pair that with the berserk modifier you'll slaughter through rooms, there's a lot more synergy with later classes as well the first few excluding paladin are fairly boring and underpowered feelings since monk not only loses durability for shoes and gloves from hitting people but also being hit.

Hutts, I can only recommend you to try out Ancient Dungeon in VR. Its the most fun with a rogue like I ever had, it is quite exhausting but really fun and well polished!!

to me durablity in the game is a way to keep the combat flowing and the player stressed at all time, like you just got hit a bunch you can't just heal, you gotta repair your stuff too which forces you to back off to have time to consum every potion

I've always disliked durability mechanics. Maybe I'm just a wimp but I prefer when a game incentivizes you to pick up new weapons rather than punishes you for keeping old weapons
