TOP REASONS People fail Hazard Perceprion Test (HPT Simulators in the description of this video) 

I Just passed my HPT from Joondalup Centre 14th April 2022. This was my first attempt which actually shocked me. Thanks to the few available online practice tests and the youtube videos i watched. Just a few points that may help someone out there: 1. There are 30 questions during the actual test. 2. Make sure you attempt the first 4 practice test questions before going for the actual test. (They let you know if your reaction was correct or not only during these 4.) 3. The test was way easier than the online practice tests i did. (In my oppinion anyway) 4. (VERY IMPORTANT POINT) Pay attention to the picture(thumbnail) shown for each question before clicking attempt, this was very very very helpful for me because i studied the information in the picture before the video started. 5. (VERY IMPORTANT POINT) Think about each video as if you were on the road and actually driving a car. This point really helped me because i reacted to each video as if i was driving and not sitting in an office. 6. (VERY IMPORTANT POINT) On most of the 'click when to turn right videos' just let the video play if it's not safe to turn, But there where 2 video's were the GAP was large enough for me to turn right, so i did click to turn. 7.(VERY IMPORTANT POINT) When asked click when to 'SLOW DOWN' Don't wait for the brake lights to come on, if the car infront of you start getting close to you click to slow down. Only 2 videos where i had to wait for the brake lights to come on, most of them the car slowed down before the brake lights even came on so i clicked the button. 8. On curves, or kangaroo videos, Don't wait to see the curve or Kangaroo, Click the button as soon as you see the yellow sign that shows Curve ahead or kangaroos in area. You may see the sign in the picture shown before the video starts which give you a clue (See point 4). 9. One video had two cars heading the same direction ahead approaching a large pool of rain water on the road. Don't click slow down before the cars hit the puddle of water but also don't wait for your car to drive through the puddle of water, Click 'Slow down' as soon as the first car ahead touches the water. Not before the car ahead touches it but not after the fact. As soon as the first car hits it. Click slow down. 10. Last point please watch as many videos on youtube about HPT as you can, Read the comments too. From each video you will gain 1 or 2 point that can be very helpful. I watch like 13 different videos from online and youtube and i passed on my first attempt. Thank you :) Hope this helps someone out there, Goodluck and let me know how you go. Cheers.

i did my hazard test today and passed! thank you so much for the tips, my pda is in two weeks and ive been watching all these videos and getting intensive lessons, so hopefully i pass!!

I keep watching this video so many times but when I go I still I fail because I’m struggling with distance.

Thanks a lot mate I now feel ready to take the test now that you’ve cleared up a lot of the questions I would of asked the licensing centre, I’ve practiced the test over and over not the same one but all the practice tests and passed them all. Fingers crossed will be able to sit HPT and pass then sit for my P plates driving test not long after🙏 Absolute legend

So I did my hpt today for a motorcycle license , failed, I’ve been driving for 25 years, the test is a totally failure on behalf of the government, if there is a hazard a head and I click to early they will fail me, this is a joke, maybe a few W.A. Parliament members should take the test and see how they go!!

I failed my HPT on my first attempt, but I passed it one hour later, after watching your video. I have driven for 12 years, so I have the skills; I just needed to demonstrate them through the test, and I did it. Thank you so much!

I tried 4x of my hazard perception test failed failed. No matter how much I watched online, when I've done practice online I am perfect. In real test failed. 😢

I'm going to get my RE motorbike license. I did the online practice test, and I seem to respond too early. Probably because I'm a former police advanced driver andcrace bicycles, so I look far ahead and prepare well before many. Quite a poir test in my opinion and that is shown in your video.

I took the WA HPT today for the first time and failed, apparentlt I got 7 wrong. I can take another test the next day. It's frustrating, I know I reacted correctly, they should re-calibrate the test.

And, don't we get told to keep our eyes ON THE ROAD? To read the TRAFFIC?! Then, in these tests, there's all of this other stuff? I failed. I couldn't believe it.

How many clicks to take action in WA test please?

Hi, I have already passed my hazard preception test for car though I have not got my licence yet. Do I still need to pass my hpt for my motorcycle licence in WA Thanks in advance,

I've taken my hpt 7 times and can't seem to pass. I'm fantastic on the road and have been driving on and off for several years, then you get people who aren't good drivers who fluke the test first go. I think there's a lot of things at play here. First of all, luck. I have also noticed that some of the tests are glitchy af and jumps. For example, I've had the one with a bus where I know the answer, I wait for the bus to turn and go off screen, then all of a sudden it's back in front of me. It's extremely annoying, let me tell you.

How much questions do I need to get right in order to pass the test? I’m WA based! Ive got the app, and do the free test. I can’t seem to pass 76%.

It's not slowing down wen u see them waving u slow down wen u see parked cars to avoid hazards like that. But that test is wrong.

the south australian practice test is so outdated 😧

The programmer is not expert enough to do such hpt test exercises/ exam. It should be reviewed before setting it up as an exam. To avoid confusion in a way. Only my opinion.

All tests in AU are about money. The tests are made to be repeated several times….
