Macron should also award the medal to American Elizabeth Wilkins of Washington State. She made the Guidebooks to France that all American GIs were given for D-Day. Miss Wilkins, an expert in French and in writing, was in charge of a secret program at the Presidio in San Francisco. Miss Wilkins designed, wrote, translated, selected maps and monuments for identification and approved the Guidebooks that were carried by all GIs in the planes, bombers, dirigibles, landing craft, and ships on D-Day. She wrote the English, translated it into French and into phonetic sounds so that the guys could pronounce the words correctly. On D-Day, her fiance Vance Taylor was one of 7 American fighter pilots and 7 radiomen who volunteered to go ashore in the first landing cratts on Omaha Beach in Normandy to dig in, determine coordinates and radio the locations of Germany artillery and machine gun nests to oncoming pilots. Vance kept one of her Guidebooks in his pocket but did not know until later that his fiancee had written it to protect him and the other Americans on D-Day. They married after the war. Two heroes. My Mom and Dad.

The accused Gilgo Beach murder sounds similar to the fictional Mr. Earl Brooks, a successful businessman and loving family man who harbors a sinister secret - he’s a serial killer. So sad for the victims, their families, and even his family.

Private insurance companies and their need to make security a thing you can buy and sell are the barrier to accessing government resources for the recovery of natural disaster of victims in society. If ‘security’ were not made into a commodity the municipal bulldozers and garbage trucks would be out there cleaning up debris like a civil defense corp block by block, all the private homes damaged and the rebuilding would include a carpentry brigade. But as long as “security” is a thing you do buy and sell, you will always be a taxpayer, and the heavy tools and equipment are free to be used other ways that keep the individual property owner dependant on private insurance corporations, to get back on their feet! This set-up that excludes a citizenry of the material resources of municipalities, held on reserve for the sake of an insurance market, is un-American. Trump falls short not saying that all municipalities have resources kept in reserve from use of for citizens are rigged for disaster, to place a homeowner in need of insurance,-- this way of life is a life of subjugation to a private party.
