You bring so much joy to people Steve, thank you man, your channel is a rare gem in a cesspool of mediocrity.. PS: Thank you for the subtitles so we can understand every idiotic utterance from your hecklers...
"You're involved in comedy the way criminals are involved in law enforcement." This is still one of my favorite lines of yours. As well as the burnt toast and car smashing into your brake light analogies. Fucking brilliant, some of the best beat down lines ever.
@@kofiadomako7523 You know damn well they truly believe it's going to be a fair fight. Like all the people who watch an MMA fight saying "I would never have been hit there, I woulda done this and this" etc.
It never ceases to amaze me how these Morons try to mess with someone who literally makes their living with their wits and ability to think on their feet. I have NO sympathy. Keep up the good work.
Like dude, the amount of people who attempt shit with David Lucas gives me the same feeling. He's got all the quick wit and reaction of Steve, but he'll also add "...you pussy ass bitch" to his insults and the crowd cheers every time. David weighs more than most of his hecklers and yet he can somehow COMPLETELY roast you with fat/eating jokes. Like why would you ever try these guys? in front of a hundred people??
"You're like an underdone piece of toast that keeps fucking popping up." My favourite comeback ever, have to keep playing that over as it just keeps me giggling.
I've never seen him so calm while destroying a heckler. During the very first clip. You can tell it won the crowd over well. I know it's hard sometimes but if you handled them all like this you would have the crowd on your side Everytime!
Same. Sometimes you just have to take a chance on the Algorithm line. Most times, i am glad i did. Thank you, Steve! Piss off, unfunny drunken window lickers!
Steve's quick wit and behaviour-shaming comebacks are admirable. He does not call people names or mock their appearances. He does not resort to cheap expletive retorts. I love watching how he handles hecklers because I believe it will teach me to hold my own ground in my own field.
Lol what? He definitely called some of these hecklers names and though he didn't necessarily "mock" the bald guy, he did call attention to the irony of the bald guy making fun of his red hair. But in this hour-long video, he has called people "stupid" several times, and I think there were others. I love this guy and think his confidence in handling hecklers is admirable -- but he definitely does rip into them brutally.
Those jokes everybody's heard, that's like "if I had a penny". My family male name is Alvin, which came from my x3 great grandfather, prior to alvin and the chipmunks. When I introduce myself, i got a 50% chance of hearing that joke and I just give that Karen smirk with my lips curled in like "yupp" 😑😑😑
And for the same thing said every time (ginger) They have had CENTURIES to come up with untold amounts of comebacks, to the point it's not worth trying to heckle them lol, but idiots will still try lol.
The glee in "what's your drug of choice then?" makes me smile for some reason. Things like that, where the crowd can build on a joke without disturbing anything, is great!
That last bit with Rachel, vowels, heckle/ hackle, and geography was improvisational genius! I came here just for one set and couldn't stop watching 'till the end.
My favorite comedian when it comes to hecklers is Drew Lynch. He has hecklers like every other show he does, and he always has comebacks for every single one of them. This is the first time I've seen this comedian and I have to say, he is really good too.

Why is it that people dislike Steve?? I was rolling on how he interacts with the hecklers. This made my day and I laughed so damn hard. Thank you, Steve.
I'm trying to work from home because this whole pandemic, and I can barely function because of how amazing you are. Good job man! Keep up the good work! Hecklers are the worst! I think I found a good video to find out about you on.
This! Also challenging a comedian to a battle of wits is like watching a 10 yo who just started karate try to fight jet li, or Jackie Chan, or chuck Norris, or anyone in the UFC and they don't give a fuck
@@Shred_Enthusiast1. You’re stating the obvious. But he correctly did it, well-evidenced by the Fact that so many, many 100’s over time - we just see clips of local shows - so extremely many people do NOT get, understand, or fathom The Obvious. At ALL. This needs to be spread far & wide, by the actual Fans that Do get it. Obviously, you do not. Everybody’s got their blind spots. It’s basically the Entire Point of Hecklers, Not getting the “Obvious.” It’s The thing in Steve’s *entire* reputation.
i LOVe his outfits and i think its so funny how when he deals with hecklers he drinks his water like it coats his throat to prepare himself for a savage remark that is hilarious and smart
This is kinda off-topic, but you talked about barfing on one's self, and it reminded me of this true story: A guy I used to know got set up on a blind date when he was a senior in high school. They double-dated with the friend who'd set him up, and the friend's girlfriend. From the start, my friend and blind date girl did not connect. They all went to a movie, and afterwards, were hanging out in the parking lot, basically standing in a circle talking (and probably smoking a joint), when all of a sudden, blind date girl turns her head and pukes! She then turns back to the group and says, very nonchalantly, "It happens all the time." That was their last date.
It saddens me that I have never heard of you or had the pleasure of seeing you perform but I have to say thank you YT for putting you in my recommends. You got a new fan here today.
I just met you and i love you. I was crying life is hard currently😢 but then YT recommendation tab said i should watch you. Thanks. I'm still crying but of joy! Thanks man. You saved my soul tonight.
thanks for the colored subtitles, i understand and speak english but sometimes it can be hard to hear what someone drunk says in a crowd for a non native speaker but i still enjoy your jokes when i read them, you are really funny, well done, i suscribe!
That drunk “I love you” lady reminds me of how my mom talks when she’s drunk. I’m not proud of who I came from. She used it to coax me into forgiving her for neglect and abuse. Also that voltron bit, Steve had me laughing wayyyyy to hard!!! Oh Goodness my stomach hurts hahahha that was great!
Harmony Pon They told the op that he should have tried to understand the events that lead to his mother’s alcoholism, neglect and abuse. Told him to basically endure it... add in a bunch of rudeness and expletives.
Now this guy deserves a comedy special! Utter talent to come up with jokes on the spot like that. Bloody amazing! Love your work, Steve! Hope you can tour New Zealand someitme!
I love your comedy, Steven. I grew up in one of the outer boroughs also, same type of family, upbringing, beliefs, etc and even though I'm no comedian, I have a similar sense of humor and love it when you rip into hecklers. Keep up the awesome work and thank you for staying active with all the sadness and sorrow in the world today. We need that to keep us going. Thanks, man!
you handle and serve them so well, the crowd loves it and so do i. when they start they clearly do not have a clue what they are in for...brilliant sir
That is just fantastic. I've never seen a stand-up be so friendly and diplomatic when heckled. Incredible. All good stand-up is a take on the human condition, but this time there was some involuntary crowd work added to help illustrate it. Ha.
could you imagine making a resturaunt clean up vomit and having to lose potential and sitting customers because of it... then deciding its their fault that you were having a bad day? damn lol
I've been lucky enough to see Steve live twice. Once in Long Beach and then in Dallas. I just live a couple of hours from Dallas in Oklahoma but I went to a conference in LB just to see him. I had to live through the dull ass conference but it was worth it. Go see him and his crew. Outstanding show.

You know, I may not be able to stop myself from yelling, "Will you shut the fuck up?!" at a continual heckler when I see you live. I hope that doesn't put me in your crosshairs!
I'm watching from England, love your stand-up routine, and also - how you deal with hecklers. Your spontaneity is impressive. Good luck with your shows, I hope to get an opportunity to see your show live in future.
I'll be in Stockholm when you are and want to come see you. Is Power next to Brother Tuck? Google doesn't seem to know and I don't see a sign out front on Maps.
I know this comment is a year late. I was chuckling through most of this, but THAT line had me laughing so hard my sides hurt. Great minds think alike! 😉 Cheers!
Normally I don't get into these kinds of clips. This was just on in the background for some noise. Ten minutes in and I stopped everything I was doing to sit and laugh. This was funny as hell! Well Done!
Some of the best spontaneous rejoinders I've ever seen. Truly admirable. I'm not sure the interstitials are necessary, though; we get everything we need from the show itself.
