ONE MORE TIP im quitting weed now, did it before one time 6 months, maybe not suitable for first weeks but u can do it if u stay hydrated as fuck, sauna! sauna make your body relaxed like a similar feeling as smoking and also when im in the sauna i dont feel the fogginess at all as much, more clarity, and also a bit after. i smoke ciggarettes but i think if i didn smoke after sauna the clarity will hold longer. And sauna is shown to relieve stress as fuck which u have the first weeks, i still do after 5 weeks but sauna helps alot, also giving will power because u can feel clarity and it makes u think about what u going to have in the future if u keep on quitting

Lots of encouraging words on here. 🙏 Haven’t seen anyone say this: THC stores in your fat. So when you exercises or go into ketosis, the THC is released into your bloodstream. I can feel it kick into a body high when I exercise. My loss of appetite has caused me to lose a lot of weight, and I didn’t have much to lose. The stomach cramps and joint and lower back pain are awful. So I’m not only fighting the cold turkey withdrawals, but the continual release of THC into my system from my fat stores. I also quit sugar at the same time, so I’m burning the THC laced fat in turbo mode. Ready to get this behind me! Never again!

thank you. I've used thc for sleep not smoking it. I started to go off slowly about a mo ago and that's when Ive had such severe sleep and concentration issues plus a buncha neuro symptoms. Going crazy but will keep on. Need encouragement because my husband who has Asperger's has never said one kind thing to me about this in the year I've been suffering through this, just criticizes me and says things like "it would help if you didn't lay around all day." When I started having neuro symptoms, I didnt realize for almost a year that it's related to THC; only realized that it wasn't helping me anymore so I thought why bother? Wow. I've had 75 medical appts in the last year including chiro and 27 acupuncture visits to no avail. My GP just told me I have a hyperactive thyroid which of course was wrong; then he referred me to nobody. I went to many kinds of specialists on my own. One dr. said "God wants you to suffer more; do you meditate 4 hrs/day?" I don't trust drs anymore. I went to ER twice. This has cost me in the thousands, the least of my concerns. Only those that go through this understand.

I might be late but any update on your journey? How many days did you personally deal with insomnia (if any) also how many days for you did it take until you started to feel somewhat “normal” without the craving to smoke
@PolishJokes
@PolishJokes 2 года назад
@@instinctmlbb757 I personally did not deal with insomnia. I’m not sure why, I’ve just never had trouble sleeping. Even without weed. I’d say it took about 3 weeks to feel somewhat normal but I still crave it every now and then. A huge part of cannabis addiction is mental in my opinion. Once you get past the mental aspect it’s very easy to quit. I still love weed and am grateful for the good times it gave me, but smoking every single day just kills the magic. And smoking everyday for me atleast led to weed giving me extreme anxiety and just not doing what I wanted it to anymore. The biggest benefit to quitting weed is your mood becomes much more stable and I like not having to depend on a substance to be happy. I wish you luck on your journey. It may seem hard and it is hard. But it is easier than you think and the benefits far outweigh the momentary uncomfortableness.

I think as a doctor you should shed light on some of the more obscure and hardcore physical effects of marijuana withdrawal such as skyrocketing blood pressure, debilitating panic attacks, and severe heart palpitations with or without activity. To me and so many others these issues are the most pertinent and scary to deal with yet most of the medical literature available barely mentions these issues.

Sup guys my name is chris, ive been stoned almost everyday for 2 almost 3 years and its time my journey with weed ends. In my time smoking i found passions and hobbys and creativity. with time you realize everything you can be or feel is there without weed . and then you notice how comfortably uncomfortable you become and then it becomes stressful relapsing when you do quit. Trust me your will power is still there but deep down you need to find what is true to you and if deep down your old self is calling for a quit then listen and listen hard. Think of the two different voices you here when you decide to smoke and ask yourself... Is old you deep down speaking or is it today you with a weed dependants? All thats left is to choose what part of you in which youll listen too. Trust me ive had my fair share of relapse for years now and im done. Im sick of falling back into what i dont want truly and pretending im okay with it. This. Is. The. Time. I change. 3 days in and when i sleep tonight it will be for. I know what is in store for me with withdrawal but now i choose to embrace it. To those who read this far thank you and i will reply with updates on this journey of mine.

Some things I feel that helped me with insomnia was avoiding eating anything with sugar at night, making sure to go outside and get some sun light for your cercadia rhythm , and meditation are all things that helped me through my own insomnia. Also sleeping at a lower temperature of 60-68 F. Meditation is great for when your feeling down or “cloudy”. There’s some great habit changing/addiction focused guided meditations if you just give RU-vid a search. If I can do it so can you ✨

I have been a cannabis user for 13 years. I have CPTSD, BPD, IBS, GERD, SEVERE ANXIETY, Chiari malformation, and degenerative disc disease. (Possibly pcos) I’m on day 6. No appetite, anxiety is pretty bad, heart races quite a bit, and the nausea sucks ass. Also sweating quite a lot. Pretty sure I’m malnourished, been trying to drink tons of water, and shakes with added multivitamins and electrolyte drinks to replace anything I’ve lost. I’ve experienced quite a bit of weight loss and the insomnia sucks but was able to sleep 6 hours last night. I have so much hope that quitting will help me live a higher quality life. I have been using CBD ONLY just because my anxiety has been so extreme. It helps a bit. Also going to get some magnesium today. For the women out there, I started pmsing and that exaggerated a lot of my w symptoms so just a heads up! Take extra special care ladies❤ Stay strong guys. For me, this is harder than quitting nicotine but I’m staying strong. 💪🏽 we got this.

i’m on day 18 without THC. Oh man, the withdrawal symptoms are awful, body aches, fatigue, tightness in the chest. My blood pressure soared yesterday and the general flue-like symptoms scared me so much that i went to the ER. I had a feeling it was weed detox but i wanted to be sure it wasn’t anything else. Doctors didn’t find anything wrong physically. That confirmed to me it was weed withdrawal. Thank you Dr Frank for this wonderful channel!

Currently on day 23 without THC after daily smoking for 30+ years. I'm still suffering the exact same symptoms you had of body aches, fatigue, flu like symptoms but it's the tightness in my chest that is the worst, makes you think heart attack then makes me anxious and panic which is a vicious circle. It has eased a bit over time but is still happening. How long did this last with you? Also how you doing now I hope you're all good!!

I’ve always had a consistent cycle but it showed up a week early when I first quit, and now I’m dealing with extended bleeding. Any other women experiencing this??? I know it has to with the estrogenic effects of cannabis, but I can’t find any specific details. I’m five weeks clean from cannabis today. I’ve used for 20 years, except for my three pregnancies. I really appreciate these videos, they’ve helped me get this far in my release of cannabis. Thank you!!

This makes it worse because you don’t have the mindset to quit so starting from a weaker place. I’ve had to tell myself I’m choosing to quit instead so I’ve got some strength in my mind behind not having any. Never felt so ill this is awful 😞 feel like I’m crawling in my own skin …. You left out the insanely vivid dreams that seem to be quite common! I'm an addict of over 15 years and have tried quitting a handful of times for various reasons. I finally had enough and am done with it, being middle-aged and extremely unsatisfied with where I am in life. I'm 30 days out (longest span ever), and I quite enjoy the nightly excursions, though some have been intense. Also been taking mugwort for insomnia recently, and that definitely ramped them up a bit to say the least. Lucid dreams out the ass.

I stopped smoking when my dog passed away. He was my everything 😢, I realized that my emotions and Anxiety were way too strong to handle on weed. I decided to deal with my emotion sober. First thing I did I adopted another dog to help me deal with my grief. I had week of incredible Anxiety, Insomnia, I was taking showers 3-4 times a day and changing my clothes 3-4 times a day but it was easier to go through becasue I have this little puppy I have to take care of. Now I am a week clean and my Anxiety is so much lower, I started eating and getting hungry, and I wanna sleep literally all the time without any sleep medications. Sometimes we need a help with our emotions to not need weed. It’s goes easier now, I feel more alive without weed. Next thing I will do is therapy. I am sad that I Lost my baby but he helped me overcome my weed adiction. I had this huge need to deal with it sober. Good luck to all of you guys 💖

Quitting any substance addiction is extremely difficult, so don't let anybody tell you that quitting cannabinoids is or should be easy. Any addiction can ruin your life from marijuana to gambling to heroin, it's the mindset, not the specific substance. I quit heroin and crystal meth five years ago and I was an absolute mess when I was using. I remember that I just wanted to rip my hair out and scream during the peak of the withdrawals, but I pushed through and made it out stronger than ever. Make sure you tell someone that you trust or love because it is much easier when you have someone that you can lean on. If I can do it, then you can do it! I promise that it gets better, just hang in there. Take it one day at a time, even one hour or one minute at a time if you have to. You got this!

I’ve been smoking daily for over 40 years, with a few little breaks in between when I’ve previously attempted to stop. So far, day 3, and I haven’t had insomnia, although I did take a sleeping pill the first night. I have had/have got the sweats and a super high body temperature ~ I can cope with this. Unusually, I haven’t got any cravings this time, which I think is because my mind set is different this time. I quit heroin years ago and even though I still get cravings for it now and again, no matter how strong those cravings are, I have never relapsed. So this time with the weed, because I’m deadly serious about quitting, I’ve equated weed with heroin, so I know I can never smoke it again, and surprisingly, when I’m triggered to think of rolling a joint, because I’m sitting down with a coffee or something, it’s like I see the thought and because I pay no attention to it, it’s like it just disappears and I don’t think of it again until the next trigger and not once have I thought (I don’t think 🤔) that I’d love a joint right now, so maybe the big shift in mindset has really helped with this. Previously, I used to think I wanted to quit but not completely, as in, I would think I wanted to quit to have a break but that one day I hoped I’d be able to maybe smoke the odd joint on a night time or maybe at weekends or whatever - 😳 - total utter BS - I’ve never smoked in moderation, never could and I know I never will be able to do that, so because I can no longer fool myself with that thought, I thought it was time to put that fantasy to bed. I probably would have never thought about quitting if I was ever able to smoke that way, and surprisingly enough, it has really helped to think this way - I used to think that thinking of smoking now and again instead of thinking I was quitting completely, forever, was helpful, but it turns out it wasn’t. The anger/frustration has also been very mild this time, almost unnoticeable; however, I am experiencing a lot of emotions, which I have to be careful not to put sad stories to, such as, my family never visits me or nobody loves me or cares about me etc etc - these thoughts/stories aren’t true and I know that if I get into them and start believing them, they’ll spiral out of control and before I know it, I’ll be sat smoking again wondering wtf happened 😭😭😭 not this time, ya girl’s gonna beat this 🤩 💪🏽 so I’m batting all those super sad and totally untrue thoughts away and reminding myself that what I’m experiencing are just withdrawal symptoms and they will pass. Nausea ~ I couldn’t shake off this feeling of nausea yesterday and probably the day before and had no idea it was related to withdrawal symptoms. I didn’t know why I was feeling so sick, I thought that I had maybe not eaten enough or something, so this morning I made sure to have some breakfast and although I don’t feel as nauseous, I’m still not feeling too great in that department, but now that I know it’s another withdrawal symptom I don’t have to worry about it 👍🏽. I can’t ever remember this being a withdrawal symptoms on previous attempts at quitting but then again I’ve never been this serious about quitting so on my previous attempts I probably wasn’t paying much attention to what was happening to me. My appetite has disappeared but I’m not too worried about that, one because of the nausea and two, because I don’t mind dropping a few pounds in weight ☺️ and I’m going to use this opportunity to start thinking about improving my diet, which has got pretty crap and chaotic recently. And the boredom ~ well, I’m using this opportunity to get rid of my home broadband, so I’m not able to spend all my time on here; I’m going to shortly make the phone call to cancel that as my contract ends this month, and that way, without internet access, I will be forced, through boredom, to go and find something to do. I’ve actually got loads of stuff to do (which is why I’m quitting) but for now, I’m just going to do whatever interests me and then after I’m over the withdrawal symptoms I’ll start working on a plan to get on with the stuff I want to do that once completed, will be a big step towards me getting back to work. Good luck guys, hang in there, I wish you all the best and I wish you all a beautiful weed free life ~ whatever that’s gonna look like 🤷🏽‍♀️ ❤️ p.s. to the gentleman in the video ~ if you read this comment, I would just like to say that this is a great video and it’s the first ‘stop quitting weed’ video that has really helped, which I’m pleased about, because it means I don’t have to look any further which is great as my internet access will soon be stopped, so no more binge watching RU-vid videos for me ☺️ Thank you 🙏

Heavy weed smoker for the last 20 years and have finally for the first time decided to give it up. My biggest question is, should you quit completely cold turkey or if you can bring it down from 10 joints a day to just 1, will that count towards my recovery or am I just fooling myself and actually giving in to my addiction? Thank you so much for your videos, I'm five days in now and I've found them to be so comforting that I am not alone. Please keep it up. I owe all of you guys my life.

Hello there just wanted to say I applaud your decision to making your life better. (Not that you need a random stranger on the internet’s approval lol) I myself am one week clean of smoking and was curious to know how is your recovery going? Wishing you all the best and success! 😊

I generally avoided having weed too close to bed time, since weed NEVER made me sleep better, but ALWAYS made me sleep worse. I must be weird or something in that regard. I have no idea. I'm 9 days clean so far, and I am not having an insomnia issue at all. I'm actually sleeping better, and waking up a lot less groggy too. Is this something other people have experienced? Side note: I've quit caffeine a couple months back, rarely, if ever have alcohol. Stopping weed is in progress, then next on the addiction chopping block is the hardest of them all: sugar

Day 38 for me and waking each night is the worst symptom by far after decades of chronic daily use. I'm writing this at 3:30am! Had a lot of sweats but this has mostly subsided. Still a bit short tempered but getting better. I quit because I was having all these symptoms BEFORE I quit and I was fed up.

@nr4930
@nr4930 Год назад
@@spicytruth8721 I am doing great! Had a relapse of 4 mos after being clear 104 days and that sucked as I was right back to daily use within 3 days. A lesson learned (I hope!) that I must be extra careful at extra stressful times. I stopped again though and am at 187 days so far and resolved to stay the course. Still have the odd day when weed pops up in my mind but not seriously. I still struggle with some sleep issues and mood ups and downs but I believe this is more what I medicated myself with weed for rather than symptoms of weed withdrawal. I listen to audio books a lot or sleep hypnosis on RU-vid using a Bluetooth mask/headphones (you can sleep on your side) and this helps a lot! Best wishes to you and if you are trying to quit don't give up!

I'm on day 10 of quitting after 8 years of smoking regularly and wow. I find myself depressed. And what frustrates me worse is that literally everything in my life is going well. I don't have a reason to be depressed but i cry when i'm alone. I love my job but it takes a lot for me to get up and go to work every morning. I hate this feeling and i think it's an experience i will always remember when i consider going back to smoking weed.

Hi kgomotso, how’s it going? I’m the same as you ~ everything in my life is finally going the way I want it to go, but boom 💥 after I quit (I’m only on day 3) and today, the depression has hit hard 😭😭😭 but I’m not going to yield to it. I’m just wondering how you’re doing now? Has the depression lifted?

@@autumn5852 OMG I’m actually good. Still don’t smoke. My lips are pink again😂, I don’t eat like there’s no tomorrow. But life has me busy. School, fulltime work and side hustle keep my mind busy. I’m super productive now. I feel like weed told me to “relax”. One thing I thought would changed is the cloudy brains. I still feel like I have weed in my head. Maybe it takes longer to clear.

@@kgomotsomogashoa8870 hey, thanks for getting back to me and that’s brilliant 🤩 news; it’s soooooo good to hear and it really helps me as well to hear your good news, so thank you 🙏 it’s very encouraging. Super well done you 🌟 Yeah, I reckon some of the side effects, such as the cloudy brain, could probably take a while to clear or maybe you might need more relaxation 🤷🏽‍♀️ as you do sound busy and it’s one of the things that I was worried about - I’m an all or nothing kind of girl, so I can be a total pot head, but on the other hand, I can be a total workaholic and burn myself out pretty quickly. Have you heard of yoga nidra? It’s a set procedure, you lie down on the floor and follow the instructions of the voice recording, and it’s always the same, it takes you through the same relaxation points and it’s the only way to experience genuine relaxation, beyond what even sleep can give us. I’m going to build it in to my daily routine and do it each evening, I think it takes about half an hour so not too long and you’re supposed to try and remain awake throughout the process, but that takes practice and I haven’t mastered that yet but even when we fall to sleep, we still get benefits. It might be worth trying 🤷🏽‍♀️. But super super well done, we know it’s not easy but from your experience of quitting, it is most definitely worth it 🥰😍🥰❤️ keep up the good work and the best of luck with all your endeavours, although if you can do all this and quit weed, there’s no doubt that you came stamped successful ❤️ you go girl 💪🏽💥🌟 I’m looking forward to loosing a few pounds and eating like a normal person instead of like I’m eating for a whole family 😆

Day 53 now... it's just not possible for me to go back, so that's not really a risk for me. The thought of being stoned again, or smoking anything for that matter, with all the head fogginess that goes with it just completely freaks me out. I still seem to have a brain fog on day 53 though and this is a worry..good work on these therapy videos.

Really related to the don’t over do physical activity. I am 5 days deep into recovery and did a 3 hour intense basketball workout expecting to go home feeling great but felt the opposite. Was hit with intense withdrawals of depression. Then went on to tipping a q ounce in the garden because I didn’t want it causing anymore harm to me and it also served as the moment I truly am done with marijuana

I had depersonalization for about a month after I quit thc (carts) and I'm only now starting to get back to normal. Immediately after I quit it felt like I was viewing my life as if I were a video game avatar. Nothing truly felt real. I didn't feel like myself. I lacked empathy. I couldn't get joy or satisfaction from anything. I'd be driving in my car and I felt myself disassociate in a way, it was as if my sense of touch went out the window like I was in a conscious sleep state. I drove correctly, but it was almost like I forgot I was driving. I had to invest all of my focus in-order to feel safe beings the wheel. Mind you I was sober. I also recall early on that other people's faces gave me the creeps, strange to say. As if I didn't know how to process the face of a stranger. It gave me anxiety. Normally I'm a very socially confident person, I enjoy talking to and getting to know most people. So that was another thing that scared me. It became a miserable existence. I also experienced relentless insomnia, angry outbursts, and I tended to isolate myself from friends and family. I initially started using weed frequently at the end of high school out of pure boredom and admittedly as a coping mechanism for the lack of human social interaction I was receiving. For a while I was scared I wouldn't return to normal for a long time...but now well after a month of quitting I see a light at the end of this lonely dark tunnel. If you're struggling to quit, just know these symptoms will go away. Sleep when your body allows. Don't stress if you can't sleep. I still consider closing your eyes and relaxing your body rest, its better than scrolling on your phone all night isn't it? And even then during the day if you feel tired, sleep. If weed is such a miracle substance it shouldn't have these effects on your body. We need to learn to be comfortable facing our emotions with a sober mind. I hope my dopamine levels restore themselves soon. I've noticed they've began to increase weeks after my last session. Somethings that helped me out alot: Staying away from social media. It made me feel angry about various political situations that I'm powerless in, and as a result it made my mind spiral in either a fit of anxiety or rage. Exploring various new hobbies. I recently began gardening and I've only now realized how much I love nature and the beauty that comes with it. Get out into the natural world. Go for a walk in a local park at low traffic times. The peace and solitude of the natural world helped me feel more connected to the earth and I feel helped me reconnect with my soul. Right now it's -40 outside so I can't exactly do that, but once spring comes I'm definitely starting back up, even when I'm months deep into sobriety. Try staying out if the house, and if you're early in your recovering process find activities that minimize human interaction. I found those tips worked for me very well. Just know that the sensations you feel aren't perminent. I know right know all might feel hopeless, but I'm telling you this as a friend practically pleading with you that it will get better. Allow your brain to heal. When we're feeling ill we can't expect to snap our fingers and make the fever go away. We simply rest and take care of our body so we can feel well again. Treat the quitting process the same, only this time your body is your brain. Right now I can proudly say Im starting to feel joy once again. Not in the big things but the small things. A cup of coffee, a nice sunset, what have you. My brain is still healing but I'm beginning to reap the results of my discipline and I know you can achieve the same.

Day 5 for me. 59 smoked past 12 years daily - went nuts after covid. Hit my wall with weed and it's time for a change. It is hard as it became part of my everyday life. I am focusing on taking back my life from my weed dispensaries - they have owned me!! I have turned it into a battle in my mind against the dispensary. I am better than weed, I am better than weed over and over. Feeling a bit shaky, sweats, weird cravings, and eye pressure like they are red and stoned but they look clear. also, have not spent money on weed in I month and I am loving my bank account. Was spending around 600+ month on medical weed. State of Maryalnd kindly gave me access to 36 grams of THC a month - rediculous! STAY STRONG 💪 💪
