33 days in cold turkey after 16 straight years of dry flower consumption; initially started smoking in the mid 1980's. This withdrawal kicked my rear beyond what I ever imagined. Did not sleep the first week, couldn't eat or function at all. Night sweats, anxiety, depression, rage, outbursts, thoughts of violence, etc. How I managed not to relapse was knowing not to quit before the miracle. I've withdrawn of off alcohol and benzodiazepines, as well as nicotine in the past, and THC withdrawal ranks right up there. It was about two weeks before I started to eat and get light sleep cycles and then the vivid, lucid dreams kicked in. I am far from 100% and still hack up an occasional tar ball, but I am starting to come around full circle. I am still suffering from hostility and some intermitting insomnia, but for me I am eons beyond the initial phases of THC withdrawal. The last 2 years of smoking high THC caliber pot I was getting all the warning signs to quit but I didn't heed them. The once miracle drug no longer worked at all for me in the end, but I kept trying various strains and wasted a ton of cash going nowhere. I'm 54 years old this fall so my timeline may be longer as with any recovery. Also, I've smoked pot heavy for many years. My keys getting this far were a "no pain, no gain" mantra with lots of hydration (H20), vitamins, clean nutrition, exercise and prayer. To those who think they cannot do this I say, Yes You Can! It's not easy, but it's so much better than the vicious cycle of addiction. I can't emphasize enough on how much better. I sincerely hope this helps someone. You can do it.

Thanks brother honestly im day 20 and you addressed 2 big issues I was searching for which has given me more hope and motivation. My sleep has gone down the toilet really I just wake up 2am from awful dreams sweating like this happens around 5 times a night n I was just curious when it stops as it's not showing signs of subsiding particularly as it started same as you 2 weeks in literally. Also the tar balls r a bit concerning I thought they would be gone quite soon but seems they still come occasionally. Though I was dying 🤣 Well thanks bro wonder how u are getting on now since u posted?
@slimt2650
@slimt2650 2 года назад
@@ryanbritain3428 You're right on schedule. Like magic, the creepy dreams and sweats will subside, and your sleep will return if you hang on; everyone's timeline is slightly different. I thought mine would never end but they did, and today, almost 56 days, all symptoms are mostly gone. After one month everything started to come back i.e., quality sleep, good dreams, no sweats, power naps in the day, lots of energy, and the depression and anxiety is lifting. Drink lots of water, take vitamins (B-12 complex) eat healthy foods, walk or workout, and it just keeps getting better. What you're experiencing is your body detoxing and readjusting. Your body's own endocannabinoid system is recalibrating itself and the payoffs will far exceed the days of daily addiction. You'll no longer need THC to feel better. Think "no pain, no gain." And "don't quit before the miracle." 20 days is frickin awesome. You've hurdled the worst and you're almost there. You can do it...trust me. You'll be amazed. It takes time. Work through it. Tell yourself now "I got this." You've beat the hardest parts already. Don't quit. The tar specs still show up today but they're meaningless (your bod kicking out the impurities). Pat yourself on the back.

I have multiple family members who smoke weed on a daily basis (my Dad and my 1st Cousin to name a few) today, I visited my Cousin for the first time since quitting, as I've been keeping my distance from him and everyone who smokes weed, as to not put any added pressure on myself during my early stages of recovery. We had a really good time together and I even offered to roll him a joint (we always mixed tobacco with weed in our joints) this worried him a bit, but I reassured him I was fine and longer needed it. I sat next to him on the same sofa for the most part of the night and although the room was very smokey, it didn't make me want to try any. In fact, I felt relieved to get back outside and breathe in fresh air. I feel very happy in myself! 😎✌ P.S we smoked weed together for the most part of 20 years!

As someone who has CHS. I just want to say how much I appreciate your videos. Especially when I used to go through episodes, just listening to someone who has been through the same thing helped psychologically. I’m fortunate enough to have never have had anxiety or depression problems. But when I had my first CHS encounter I had no idea it even existed and legitimately felt like I was dying after 2 unsuccessful urgent care visits. Destroyed me mentally until I found this channel. Finally stopped smoking 6 days ago and I’ll never smoke again. I’ve been off and on lying to myself saying “oh just smoke once every three days” etc. For anyone struggling with the life destroying CHS… you have to bite the bullet and fully stop. Until you bit this bullet you will most likely relapse every single time you attempt to quit. Weed needs to be respected

I’m loving this channel. Even for people that don’t wanna quite weed but want to have a healthy Relationship with Weed they should watch this channel because it’s so vital to make sure that you’re the master of your life so addictions don’t creep up and it helps People separate psychological addiction from physical addiction and to separate all the symptoms is a lot more understanding for one to overcome these things . I recommend this channel to family and friends and everybody knows like I’m a junkie so it’s good to be able to have a support system on RU-vid and he’s doing it for free most people wouldn’t even do it because they’d be made fun of but you know he’s actually helping people that want help and that’s the most important part they’re asking

13 years smoking buds. Had a major panic attack mid joint one evening, it's scared the living shit out of me. I was starting to get paranoid over my own inner voice/monologue. I tried to reduce my use from joints to one Skinner's, but didn't matter if I smoked a gram or a 0.3 id still get the same feelings/emotions no matter the size or amount I smoked per joint. Had about 14 grams left in my rolling box so grabbed the bag and just emptied into the toilet bowl and flushed it. I destroyed every bit of paraphernalia I had left. When I flushed that weed I felt like I flushed my problems away with it. I've smoked heavy since 13 years of age and now I'm 25. I really do believe I was one spliffy away from a Cannabis induced phychosis or even paranoid schizophrenia. I'm 14 days sober now a full 366 hours off the green bitch. I feel amazing and really feel like everything is getting better in life. CBD Oils and OMEGA 3 fish oil and jogging has helped so much. My mind is clearer, anxiety is disappearing more and more everyday. I'm eating way more. Sleeping way better. The dreams are amazing, even the scary ones. It's all about reprogramming the mind and body. I wish everyone the best. Don't let anybody tell you weed isn't addictive, if they do they've never truly been a stoner before. P.s get a journal, writing helps a lot too. Best of luck everyone.

Today will be one week sober for me! Started smoking daily four years ago because I was in a crappy relationship with a stoner, and letting go of weed also feels like letting go of that relationship. Your videos have really helped me. I almost caved yesterday when one of my friends I used to smoke regularly with came over, but luckily they supported me and I didn’t take any. It was a great reminder that having social support in this process can make a word of difference. I even asked my friend to take away all my weed Paraphernalia and now I don’t have anything in the house to tempt me. Out of sight, out of mind!

I've been sober from thc almost 10 months now. For thr past 2 weeks my brain has been telling me that I want to smoke again just to prove myself that I can do it without needing to do it all the time. It shocked me because I used to get cravings when I first started quitting but I expected them to die down and stop by now. Over the past two weeks the reverse has happened. The want for weed has increased to the point where I was convinced that I needed to do it to show it didn't have a hold over me. Madness really. Your video really helped me realise that although it's been a while, I was smoking for a long time and it's very much ingrained in my thought pattern to smoke. Any other bits of advise for people like myself who've been quitting a while but still struggle with cravings.

Was high all day most days even at work . All i could think about was smoking weed. I finally stopped because i wanted to travel and i wouldn't be able to if i was addicted to weed it wouldnt be enjoyable so i stopped a few months prior to my first trip. That was 8 years ago.
