Although how to roll down and close your windows from your key when accessing or leaving the vehicle. NOT FOUND. 99.9 % of cars in this price range has got this option. Or locking your doors before you close them. Nah they all have to be closed. Or wannna know what radio station u r on while using sat nav? Fuck you change the Nav to media instead. Sorry for this salty comment.
@@ziemas93 You could put the windows down on your '07-'15(?) *(def can on the '08-'12 models) CX-9 ! And here's a GOOD one---> (2006) Mazdaspeed6... you could open AND close all the windows (and moonroof if equipped) with the key fob.
Tip 1. Always make sure your oil is clean and fresh. Variable timing valve Will go shizzz if you dont change enough! A Mazda needs good lubrication, and cannot function with a dirty inside!
Let me tell u an advance tips: If your mazda connect system freeze, you can hold down NAV, FAV and MUTE button for 20 sec to force reboot the system. it will NOT affect your driving
The display unit for the 2017 mazda 6 needs a recall. My display unit just stop working. I had it checked out and they said I needed a new one. Its not covered because I have gone over 36,000 miles. I did some research and they have issues with the display unit before. They need to do the right thing and do a recall and replace the units. I don't have 1500.00 dollars to replace.
Found this little trick by mistake on my 2015 CX5. You can use the voice prompt to "turn on audio" but you can not turn it off. I mistakenly said, "Change mode turn off audio" and it worked!
# 14b, double click the door button to unlock all doors. Basically click again in less than 2 seconds of the first click. This works better for me because I don't have to worry about all doors getting unlocked with a single click every time.
Hi Mazda Dave, I've had my Mazda from new for almost 3 years and since I've had it my sat nav keeps taking me in the wrong direction so much so that I have to use my phone. I'm very very disappointed with this navigation system and based on this I wouldn't recommend these cars to anyone. I've reported to the mazda dealers where I purchased it but they said they can't find a fault on the day the car was being serviced and that I should do an upgrade. I've done an upgrade either right or wrong and it still takes me in the wrong direction. I'm sick of it.
I purchased a Mazda 3 less than a week ago, been wading through the manual and too many videos trying to find out how to turn on the Operating System Screen. I am so glad I found this video. I have such a learning curve, given my old car was a 2005. Thank you !
This is a great video. Thank you. I bought a CX-9 last week and just finished reading the manual. I discovered a handful of interesting features that I wouldn't have found if I hadn't read the manual, and I was going to make a short video about them. A few of the same things are here. Thanks again.
Thanks Mazda Dave I would've never found any of these on my own, I literally have been driving with frosted over side view mirrors for the last 3 years!
The cluster dimmer also affects the infotainment screen brightness night mode...all the way right keeps everything at the brightest setting...1 click left allows the infotainment screen to dim when the lights are turned on
Oh my god, I drove 2 new Mazda’s and my biggest complaint was the gas pedal, it felt like it was broken at full throttle. The dealer people had no idea what or why!!!!!!
The only thing you have incorrect there is the ignition button cycling.it is press once for accessory plus a second time for full on and then a third time for off again. You had mistakenly said press once for fall on us again for accessory press 3 for off again. Your step 1 and step 2 are reversed as you hadn't said that.
2 points worth noting... #1, there is no #3 in your list. #2, for the on screen test, you say "once", but the screen says "ounce"... you mean the first.
TPMS Reset, read your owners manual. You don't need to be reading texts whilst your driving or even talking on the phone. Most other things are in the manual that should be kept in the glove box. All these things should be set before moving the car, not whilst driving it.
Is there a way to see the speed digitally on the grand touring? I've tried switching through the info button on the steering wheel but nothing comes up. Thanks!
The 1. is of cause bullshit. To set TPS 1. adjust all tires to the designated tire pressure, than press TPS button. Has to be done after tire change. If the light comes on during driving, do not press adjust TPS - button, stop and check tires 1. Maybe one is flat, - that is the purpose of this warning...
Don't reset your tire pressure monitor unless you know there's no problem. It could go off because you just had the tires rotated. It could also go off because a tire has a leak. Both have happened to me. A tip that I don't recommend using... How to turn off your engine without turning off the infotainment system. Keep your foot on the brake pedal with the transmission in Drive or Neutral (rather than Park) and press the Start button to turn only the engine off. You can then shift into Park. This is dangerous to do as, if your foot comes off the brake, you could end up moving with little to no steering. Use the parking break as well if you're going to do this.
Reset you say. BUT in the video i read: HOW TO REST TPMS Joke obviously. But it is funny that the very first title is already spelled wrong. And yes, i think what you said should be obvious to those driving on the road. If it is not obvious, they should not drive on the roads. Because, tires are the only contact between you and the road. So you might actually wanna spend time checking them every trip you take. It costs 10 seconds per tire, plus perhaps 20 seconds walking around. This means it takes roughly a minute to check all 4 tires if they are in good condition. Sure, if you want to expect them thoroughly for nails or damage, it takes a bit more time. But i don't consider this to be necessary every trip. A global inspection every trip should catch real problems, like a flat or missing bolt. But yeah, to be honest: People should know this already. If someone is actually concerned about getting from a to b as safely as possible, then this should not be an issue. And so, it really is troublesome to see that nobody seems to care anymore. Meanwhile a lot of people also complain about prices going up and what not. The world is becoming a very funny place. Mass killings everywhere. Dips who believe in making the world a better place while accepting manufacturers to produce their stuff in countries that are basically factories full of cheap labor slaves. Etc etc. O so funny. And these same knobheads talk about the environment and global warming and what have you. SO funny how the lemmings stay in line, no matter what hurdle or wall they put up. Even if they point an 18 inch cannon straight up your face, you will still say: Yes, yes, great stuff. I love it. Wonderful technology. Look, i can press this button and the hood pops open. O wait, hmm, why is it not working. O yeah, i forgot...... the button has a lifespan of just 25. You press it 25 times and afterwards you have to pay for it to work, just like the GPS data in the VW car which was hijacked and had a toddler inside. When police wanted to get information where it was, VW said they should first pay the fee for subscription to this wonder of technology so that they could give information on where the vehicle was. Check Louis Rossman's channel on youtube. He can tell it better than i can, in full detail with all the articles linked. Great guy, Louis.
The kickdown switch activation is supposedly a pretty violent "kick", right??? On a couple instances recently, I got pissed off & FLOORED my 2016 6 & initially after a couple seconds' resistance, I felt a pretty massive kick or knock underneath... it felt similar, if not even more force than an occasional 1st/2nd gear misshift from my previous car that I owned for years (a 15 y/o GM product)... Long story short, was that the kickdown switch doing its job? Or did I just prematurely RUIN my car (say, the transmission) despite there still being under 35k miles on the clock?
Thank you, I have a 2018 CX5 Grand Touring and never knew how to turn on the heated mirrors, but I live in central Arizona, so chances are I'll never use it. Still, it's nice to know! I also enjoyed your other tips!
Hi Can you help. I replace my driver door and the auto folding mirro6 stop working with the key also the indicator light has stopped working with fob . Any help would be appreciated
You need to make sure the CX-5 is fully unlocked using the door controls. Or use the liftgate button on the low left of the dash. Hope this helps and solves your issue.
Can you please help with how to get the sound system from turning off while at a drive in movie place? So frustrating how it shuts off the sound and have to keep pressing the button every 30 minutes. Will pressing the button twice help with this?
WHY DOES THE CAR ALARM GO OFF RANDOMLY? IT HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES, NO ONE IS NEAR THE VEHICLE, WHEN I ASK ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AT DEALERSHIP, "THEY NEVER HEARD OF IT"! MY NEIGHBORS HAVE CALLED POLICE/DETECTIVE FOR DISTURBING THE PEACE!!! WHAT IS CAUSING THIS ISSUE, PLEASE?
I recently bought a 2018 Mazda 3-5 with 9,000 miles. Tire Pressure lite showed that the tires were low. Service sta techie checked tire pressure. Altho reading showed recommend 36# he added more air to 41#(he read the min/max # on tires). Then he reset as recommended in this video. I drove home.-tire sensor was no not on (GOOD). Next day tire pressure lite again showing low pressure. What else needs to be checked ? Surely the sensor couldn't be defective with so few miles on a car less than a year old???
The car can either have sensors in each tire or using the ABS sensors ( because a flat tire has a smaller circumference what will be noticed when one tire has a different speed than the others. ) If it has sensors in each tire , read the OBD data whitch tire is faulty, change over e.g. from front to rear and try again. If the problem moves, change tire pressure sensor. If it is from the abs it can be a faulty speed sensor or the power supply to the dignosis computer or the diagnosis computer itself.
hello i got some question to ask. last month i change my battery without hook it into some replacement battery. and now my Head unit won't jump into the program.. i can only see Mazda logo for a few minutes and then it turn off. do you know what might be happened with my car? much appreciated for the answer
Oh yeah I didn't notice till I read your comment. Hehe. That's 3 errors that I know of. This guy really needs to go back and do a 'PROPER' version of this video and re-post.
Thanks for the info! I'm trying to figure out how to get my '16 Mazda3 grand touring to NOT automatically start playing my bluetooth-audio-connected iPhone every time I start the engine...anyone have any tips on this?
Each time you start the car, the system is going to pick up where it left off. If you were playing the radio, the radio should come on. If you were listening to something on your phone, it's going to try to connect to your phone. What's fun with mine is that I have to turn up the car volume to listen to anything from my phone. Get in the car later and either don't have anything geared up to play or have my bluetooth turned off, it switches to the radio and scares the crap out of me at the high volume. In other words, if you don't want the car to stream from your phone, switch to the radio when you stop the car. If you simply totally shut down whatever was streaming on your phone or turn bluetooth off, the car will still try to connect to your phone before switching over to the radio.
If it’s blinking it means one of the battery’s in one of the sensors is going out, considering it’s a 2005 and the battery’s start dying at about 6-7 years you probably need new sensors
I have gone through the owners manual, and liftgate is mentioned 317 times. I read each paragraph that contains liftgate, and there is no mention of turning off or changing the volume of the beep for the liftgate. After doing some online research, the beep seems to be a safety feature to warn, people who may be around the rear of the vehicle, that the liftgate will be opening or closing. I hope this helps.
Ok heres one for you folks. My 2018 mazda 3 hatchback touring, seems to have a windshield wiper/washer malfunction. Typically as indicated on the control stem, you pull towards you to enable the washer fluid dispensing and you twist the end of the control stem in order to enable the rear washing fluid to be dispensed. With mine however, it is completely opposite. You pull the stem towards you, and the rear ports spray the fluid and when you twist the end of the stem, the front washer ports spray the fluid. Anyone else experiencing these issues? Still an awesome car but this is ridiculous.
Turns out that It was a crappy repair performed after a minor accident which damaged the front right undercarriage panels where the washer fluid lines are located. The GENIUS who performed the repairs at Gillman Mazda, installef the hoses backwards. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to perform the repair myself so it cost me $120 for a likely 20 minute fix. Still love this car though. Its awesome
Does anybody know what the solid rectangle with 2 small circles symbol means in the Mazda Navigation? I have asked multiple people at Mazda ever since I bought a Mazda 3 in 2017 and nobody knows what it is. It shows up in Navigation on the side of the screen, then with a navigation pointer on a road. ON my routes, always in the same spots. Not speed cameras or construction (that I can tell). It's a mystery I would like solved. Amazing there is something more comprehensive concerning their nav system.
WOW! Mazda Dave, I bought my 2015 Mazda 3 touring New and I love it... especially the Boe speakers! But your video is just so awesome. What a treasure of usable knowledge. I only use full synthetic oil, and my Mazda dealership doesn't like to put an oil change sticker for over 5,000 miles. Synthetic is a solid 7-8,000 miles. Now I was able to change the reminder time. I now have it set at 7,500. So thank you 😊
@@mazdadave9230 Not really what I meant. Info button cycles through different options. I have asked about different style of right gauge. Some are showing temperature bar, whilst some are not, and that's what I wanted to know, if it's possible to change.
Thanks for your video Mazda Dave i have madza cx3 (2017) my request switch does not work only in cold mornings the rest of the day works fine any advice or tips what to do ???
Was looking for great internetpc computer videos about obvious stuff and things. Was kinda hoping Watch MOJO would pop up and entertain my satin smooth brain for just over 9min as usual (by this I mean the one that comes before and not the one that comes later). Was pleasantly surprised/intrigued face noises to find this amazing video about Mazda's. I had somehow through sheer force of luck and understanding of will, managed to get my hands on a small one. The "2" to be accurate and subjective. I don't like objects, that's why. Anyway, I was honestly enjoying the absolute constipated-for-a-week-and-then-pooping-coz-amphetamines out of this little amuse-bouche of a car! Toight around corners, responsive and amazingly roomy, I thought I had to least try and virtue signal to the country that poured and shook Dark Souls over my face. So I came, clicked here coz...welll...look a squirrel! I started typing this at point 3. I smoked. So it took a while. But the end is near. So I'm gonna stop and say good bye.
Great question. There are a lot of settings you can change while in ACC mode. I took this right out of the user manual. Its that basic difference. I hope this helps a little. ACC (Accessory) Some electrical accessories will operate and the indicator light (amber) illuminates. ON This is the normal running position after the engine is started. The indicator light (amber) turns off. (The indicator light (amber) illuminates when the ignition is switched ON and the engine is not running.) Some indicator lights/warning lights should be inspected before the engine is started
Mazda Dave The owner's manual for my ‘19 Sport would perplex a nuclear physicist. Instead of simple numbered steps, this doc has us jumping from one part of the book to another to track down definitions of their opaque terminology. The book’s organization is all over the map, and it is 2/3 longer than it needs to be. The authors make the universal mistake of all amateur technical writers: They combine reference (the “what”) with procedure (the “how”) and the result is information overload. And, they commit the mortal sin of organizing the book around the product when it should be about uses the owner will have for the product. I wrote user guides professionally for 32 years but in the case of my MX-5 Sport I’m raising the white flag. Like 99 percent of this car's owner base I’m going to just wing it and teach myself, keeping the guide handy for definitions of terminology unique to Mazda.
