Nice one guys! I know about the rubber band trick but have yet to try it! Thanks for the reminder! Oh, I thought it was just the Midlands posties that dropped those bands everywhere! Seems it's nationwide, who knew?!?!?! Looking forward to the upcoming content. You gave some great shout-outs to some awesome channels there mate! Pity i don't have stickers! Take care, lads! 😎👌👍

Cheers Mark..... Yeah man, I think everyone who grew up in the golden era of rc is probably familiar with the old elastic band trick, the 80s really were a great time for 'making do', fixing and bodging your cars in any way possible! I don't think as many of the younger generations are familiar with it though, I've certainly seen a lot of spinning lunchie wheels over the last year on RU-vid. Shame no Mark Bryan stickers available dude, but we do have at least another 3 or 4 channels sending some in, so should be able to cover vannessas box in stickyness! 😂 Really not enjoying this winter, desperate to get out round the track. Cheers for watching as always, hope alls well your end mate. 😊 👍 👍 👍

Hiya Trey. Thanks for stopping by fella! I've just spoke with Taylor, he has said he has mailed you regarding a sticker exchange between our channels. I sincerely hope that poor Meredith is continuing to make a good recovery.... what a strong and brave girl she is, our thoughts are with you all buddy. All the best from myself and the Green Hawks crew. 👍 👍 👍

Great simple cheap trick for the tires. Will try it on my Mud Blaster.

Hey Mattias! Ah yes, the mighty mud blaster..... a true Tamiya icon! I love the mud blaster, although mine stays firmly on the shelf as it has been fully restored to as new condition. I'm still waiting for Tamiya to re re it, not quite sure why we haven't seen it yet? But if they do, I shall get one as a runner! Definitely give the rubber bands a go, it works a treat. Cheers for watching and dropping a comment fella. 😊 👍 👍 👍

That's a great tip, boys! And I must say, those are THE most worn-out Monster Beetle tires I've ever seen! Good job!!! Hahaha! Hopefully the Atlantic sticker pirates allow us to finally exchange in the near future, fellas! Until the next one...

Ha!! Those tyres are less than a year old mate..... That beetle is my go to runner, and knocks up quite a few miles! MIP diff, superstock BZ, aluminium dampers, 2s lipo, high torque servo saver, along with a few more subtle tweeks. I rag the life out of it, and it takes it like a champ.... such a fun car to drive. It means that I can keep my immaculate OG beetle, blackfoot and mud blaster firmly on the shelf looking pretty! 😂 Yeah, those bloody sticker pirates have a lot to answer to.... Just hope ours get to each other safely this time round. Cheers for watching and supporting our little channel bud, means a lot to us. 😊 👍 👍 👍

Great talk video! Well, when the weather is crap, gotta stay inside, and good to add a great tip into the video content also! Too bad you lost the footage with the motor rebuild, I would have loved to see that... Lots of goodstuff, you got coming. Have a good one, guys!

Weather really isn't pleasant matey, I'm soooo looking forward to the spring. Yeah fella, usually use this time of year to service the runners..... I was really gutted about the motor video, it actually turned out really well. This is the second 'longer' video that we have now had corrupt, maybe we need to invest in some better gear going forward. At least I have a pristine motor in the beetle once more now, unbelievable how much difference the polished commutator, new brushes, and bearings have made to its performance. Cheers for stopping by Mads. 🙏 👍 👍 👍

Hey Glenn! Yeah the good old elastic band trick eh mate, still works a treat..... Thanks again for those very cool looking stickers. We have another 3 or 4 channels sending some in, then we will start building the kit/body. All the best fella. 😊 👍 👍 👍

Hi guys, nice video. Hadn't heart about this rubber band trick yet. I might give it a chance. Yes sniffing has to be done, no matter if they're second hand. Great shout-outs and thanks for remembering mine😉 (if you can't find them, let me know, I'll sent you new ones😉)

Cheers Dirk mate! So sorry yours did not feature, I had totally forgot that they were not with the other ones as yours came in much earlier than all the others. We did make sure they got In the thumbnail though. Unfortunately the replacement tyres were a second hand part worn ebay bargain, so did not smell at all. As for the tyre hack, it really works a treat mate! Thanks for watching Sir. 😊 👍 👍 👍

Hey great top tips guys. I do find that the tyres fall off if I don't glue them although that might be with the faster brushless motors. Yes the weather is rather crap at the mo and even if you do go out the light will be a bit drab on the video. I really must make a channel logo and sticker so I can join in with all the sticker related fun. The main reason I haven't is that I can't be arsed! Best wishes guys 😁👍

Tyres fall off!!!! 😂 😅 🤣 Now why doesn't that surprise me Pete? In all honesty mate, I don't think this video applies to you (no offence)..... In fact, I'm not even entirely sure that you even need tyres at all, your cars are usually flying through the air.... maybe wings would be better? 😂 Jokes aside mate, we usually just run brushed up to 13 turns in most of our monster trucks.... I'm guessing glue is essential in those crazy brushless set ups you dabble with! 😉 As for the stickers, "can't be arsed".... Got to appreciate your honesty there bud, tell it how it is! But, I think your channel logo would look awesome on a sticker, especially once applied to a custom lunchbox! If you ever get any made up, please drop us a message! Thanks for watching matey. 😊 👍 👍 👍

That is a fabulous tip guys!! I hate, yes that’s a strong word, but I hate doing something permanent to anything RC as you never know when you might want to change something at a later date and then find out you can’t. So I love this awesome!! Can’t believe how warm down those tires are!!!!! They’ve definitely had some incredible use!
@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC
@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC 7 месяцев назад
Well said Freddy, I couldn't agree more with that statement matey!! Especially with our monster truck 'runner' fleet. We really don't hold back when running these rigs, and have cracked/broken countless wheels this year, it's so much easier to remove the tire to put on a new wheel without it being glued! As for the tires, that set is probably only 7 months old!!!! 😬 I've also gone through two sets of brushes on the superstock it's running on in that time as well. Needless to say the beetle gets well used, and is my main go to runner! (I do have another mint re re, and mint fully restored original that sit on the shelf though! 😂) Fil received his stickers last week, I'm hoping yours would have arrived by now buddy? 🤔 Cheers for stopping by mate, need to catch up on your squash build! 👍 👍 👍

Great idea! I did try this but opted for good old fashion glue in the end. Only problem with the glue is the over run and fingers do not make good bed fellows!!

I get into a right old mess with glue mate..... even managed to stick my finger to the kitchen work top once, didn't half hurt pulling it free!! Superglue sticks skin far better than it sticks Tamiyas..... I found out the hard way! 😂 Cheers for watching mate, and cheers for the awesome channel stickers.... I promise I won't stick yours anywhere near the kerb penetration zone on the body! 😉 👍 👍 👍

Woops..... Looks like I put that tyre on back to front! 🙄 It's been amended now. Still can't believe how bald those monster beetle tyres got in less than 8 months. Hope the elastic band hack is of help to some of you out there, it really works a treat! 👍 😊

I have heard you guys have been all kinds of cold, wet, snowy mess of weather over there lately. Hopefully it clears up a little and you can get out for some fun! That really stinks all the hard work got lost for the motor video, not like you can do it all again after it is fully rebuilt! Thanks for the shout out and I will take the award for the beard as well! LOL! Take care guys and stay warm!

Hey Addam!! First to comment as usual mate. 🙏 Yeah, the weather has not been great..... I am itching to get back out and take the new cars around the figure of eight, but unfortunately the youngsters are not as hardy as us Gen X'ers!! 😂 I am well used to it as I work outside, but the other guys and girls are not so keen. Yep, the motor video was gutting.... It was a very good video. I usually strip down and service my most heavily used brushed motors every winter. This one was only 8 months old, but had a lot of miles on it, and was a complete state! I couldn't believe how much dirt came out of the can, and how grimey the commutator was, the brushes were also in a bad way. Like you so rightly said, we couldn't re film it as the motor is now pristine and running superbly..... and I'm shocked how much difference the bearings have made to it's performance! Thanks again for the awesome stickers, we have at least another 4 different channels sending some in.... so it should look cool all livered up with a top force metallic green paint job! Cheers for watching as always matey. 😊 👍 👍 👍

Makes me wonder if you could use ptfe tape, and if so would it work on smaller wheels also? Glad the stickers got to you and fingers crossed for some sunny days over the festive season
@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC
@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC 8 месяцев назад
Hey guys! Now then..... that's a jolly good idea, and well worth trying I would have thought! I'm guessing it will depend on just how much power that you are putting through the buggy wheels? I do hate the mess that glue makes! The grim UK weather seems to be effecting us all currently. As you could probably see by the amount of muck on that beetle, I do still go out myself.... Just can't get the others out to get any racing or video footage done at the mo. Roll on summer eh? Thanks again for the awesome stickers, they will get multiple placements once the others arrive and we can start project 'Tube box'. Cheers for stopping by and dropping a comment lads, it's always appreciated. 🙏 👍 👍 👍
