I always enjoy your interviews with Steve Saka. Hands down, my favorite person in the cigar industry!

The solution to price inflation is to stock up now. I'm lucky that I'm a 1 to 2 a week guy, so having a nice selection for the next 2 years is pretty easy.

Dunbarton cigars are legit some of the absolute best. I have yet to try one I haven't liked or enjoyed. The Muestra De Saka is my favorite line hands down! Keep up the good work Steve.

7:01 Man, I WISH I could smoke a daily cigar. Alas, the 11 hour work day leaves me exactly enough time to get home, make a smoothie, exercise, shower, and go to bed. 😢

I smoke around 2-4 cigars a week. What we really need to see is prices drop back down to 2000 pricing. Things may be costing them more,, but we have much less less spending ability for items like these. Bring back Brazilas for $60/box and Padron 1964 for $550

Think about a get together that anyone who would like to participate in a cigar get together. Maybe become an annual thing.

Interesting take. I definitely feel like dunbarton’s quality has taken a hit last year… not sure if it’s the crop or what but they didn’t hit the same as when I first started smoking them in 2021. Could be the retailer and not the manufacturer… idk, but i shouldn’t have to figure out who shit the bed… manufacturer or retail… with that said I have 4-5 shops I go to regularly. So maybe I’m just hitting them at the worst times (unlikely but not impossible) And for the price I expect 0 compromise.

Entertaining and Informative. Saka is like inside baseball. I was a two a week guy, C19 then I’m 6 or 7 a week. Bet is spot on about pricing and consolidation. Tim keep smashing out the great content. BTW smoking a paladin de Saka as I comment that I got from Cigars Daily!

My big question or questions would surround quality control in the industry. It has gone down noticeably overall. I'd love to know what can be done to bring it back up to par with the potential of excellence of yesteryears past? I understand anything handmade always has the propensity the fall down the path of laziness or bad days. I know that will never be eradicated completely but, I'd love to know Steve's opinion on how to circumvent that as much as possible and his opinions on quality-control overall and where it's going.

Steve's Sin Compromiso ring is awesome. I hope he starts selling those in the future!

I always learn something from Saka. Plus, his interviews are very entertaining. He’s got the knowledge to back up what he preaches.

funny how he says nobody buys cigars during winter in the north because thats ussually when I buy the most, especially online, mainly because i get my holiday bonuses & tax returns, and I also know they will have plenty of time to rest/acclimate by the time spring rolls around.

Is there a place to buy cigars that were slightly damaged or that just weren't up to snuff st inspection time? Would be a good way to try some cigsrs that would normally be out of reach. I wouldn't mind buying a stick with a cracked foot or something similar if it gets me something i normally would never be able to afford.

Well I think this bloated supply and tapered demand is gonna coincide with the biggest world wide shortage of Cuban cigars, so at least the percentage of rest of the world who prefers Cuban Cigar is gonna have a much bigger reason to try New World cigars this year.

I do find it pretty ridiculous that Saka thinks that it's America's fault that the Nicaraguan and Honduran governments can't improve the live's of their citizens and would prefer it if they were stuck in Nicaragua and Honduras getting paid nothing to make his cigars. People should have the right to chose a better future for themselves. If Saka wants to be political towards anyone, he should be angry at the Nicaraguan government not the American government, which by the way, isn't gonna be handing these people work visas and will instead try to prosecute and deport. Seems absolutely deluded, parallel world stuff.

Steve says the price point has moved. Interesting, Sanj Patel and master blender Eladio Daiz has a premium tobacco cigar. No bands, no box. For about seven bucks. (Toro) not a cigarillos. Not promoting it just saying industry killer
