I feel Ipswich players are more premier league than they think , just on a learning curve, but the little things going for them this season normally indicates it’s your season, this just might be the game they realise they have nothing to fear , I suspect QPR might get it next match
For all the complaints about refereeing and who should have won I thought it was a wonderfully absorbing match between two sets of players who clearly like and respect each other. That was evident at the final whistle. A really great night for my money
As a leicester fan do find this abit frustrating, yes we were better first half, ipswich second but we got robbed of a pen, a draw was probably fair performance wise but still
I deleted my first comment, thought you was on about the first pen claim where Cam got the ball. However second one definitely looks a pen but not given, couldn't see that from our end where we were sat too well. Great game tho, up the town 🚜💙
Thought it was a pen TBH, Town fan. But in fairness every week there's 10 such instances that are clear pens waved away... we've had at least 3 or 4 this year... it is what it is
Check out the literal assault on Hutchison not given to Town at Huddersfield Some ludicrous refereeing - at times you do wonder whats going on between their ears!
Iam a neutral but there were 2 clear penalties for Leicester ref was in position for the first one clearly pushed as was the 2nd and the FA wonder why fans get angry with refs as well as players
Possibly but was certainly a worthy highlight imo - certainly as cose a call as the Burgess tackle where he kicked the ball 10 yards!! The later shoulder to shoulder I was expecting to be given - we got a little lucky there
@@steveo726 You can't write Leeds at all! Well, you can count on them playing the best football in the league against some of the best teams, but then also being stumped by lesser teams with smart managers. These two are at least very consistent. Leeds are a mystery. Absolutely smashed Ipswich, beat Leicester & Ipswich earlier in the season, but can't take care of the mid table and lower teams as these two can. I'm a Leeds fan, but think Southampton are more dangerous by far. I think the top 2 & Saints have better managers who are more canny than Farke. I think Leeds have the squad & the skill (as they've proven), but Farke is not the man to steady the ship. I still think Leicester look more technically gifted than Ipswich, but it's pretty close. Watch out for Southampton! They could actually capitalize on lost points by the top 2. I can't see Leeds being able to do that. They'll get their play off spot with Farke, but they're no threat to the top 2. Hats off to McKenna for knowing his stuff against Leicester. Mavididi's goal was an absolute stunner, but Ipswich didn't give them much room at all.
Not a bad result for both teams all in all. We were lucky to get away with the penalty claim but we've had worse not giving, i guess thats one advantage of playing at home. You can definitely see why Leicester will win this league. Maybe not as good as attacking as Leeds but miles ahead defensively
Now being 60yr and having not played for decades and only a casual watcher for a long, im not great with the rules anymore. Can i ask, that late challenge in the penalty box which looked like a shove from behind by ipswich defender, i would expect to have been a free kick in open play, and therefore expect to be a penalty when it occurred in the box. Is it not this simple/straightforward?
Good point I'd have been happy with before the game but feel like we were robbed of 2 with the penalty incident, red card incident and the jammiest equaliser you will ever see.....
The top flight competition is quite strong this season, I think if there was no Ipswich, maybe the top teams would be filled with premier league relegation, but Ipswich is really extraordinary this season💙🚜
I hate this. We’ve been on the wrong side of luck these past two seasons. Although we are doing well this season, we always manage to get own goals and robbed from crucial calls.
@@Robertl-xz6yl of course u can, a stone wall penalty not given, one earlier in the match which was debatable and one of the ipswich players hit winks with a flying knee who was already on a yellow I think should’ve had a few men sent off. Plus ipswich where the ones who got outplayed first half in their own backyard so
@@wewe6309 yeah but then you’re also lucky we didn’t score 3 more goals on another day we win that 4-2 even with you getting every penalty dewsbury hall dives for. We had 19 shots to your 5, seems like moresca came here very defensively to grovel for a point and managed to get one. Can’t wait to see if you try to play outside your own half at the king power
@@Robertl-xz6yl we did play out our own half in the first half, we could’ve went like 3 up before half time then decided to sit back and fight u lot off for the win coz let’s face it that would be the best strategy in 2nd place’s backyard. We just got unlucky at the end with a double deflection, was probs a fair result a draw anyway
Town will be even more brilliant in just a few years. Top ten in PL within max three years from now. Really looking forward to see them against( City and United). And then not meant Norwich City....... Go for the stars.
Cant understand why no penalty on that....if they both running side by side one or the other can push a shoulder but if a defender is behind and chase the runner to bump him off..even he doesn't possess the ball ...the defender is not up to the ball but the striker....ITS NOT PENALTY
Refereeing in the English football is another level of stupidity and corruption. (Disallowed liverpool goal and this ball) How the 🤐 was that second ball not a penalty? Amazing
Ipswich had bn robbed off a victory by the referee. clearly leicester had no intention for the ball n not even a shoulder to shoulder challenge. shameful !!!
what a life Mrs Vardy has eh ? jetting off on holiday every other week ! I know I'm stating the obvious but I wonder what attracted her to Mr Vardy ? 💵💵💵💵💵
Leicester fans winging about the ref…yes was probably a poor decision but as we’ve had at least 3-4 blatant penalties not given at home this season we deserved a bit of luck. We’ve had to put up with some shocking decisions and think if there was VAR in the Championship we’d probably have more points not less 🤷🏻♂️
