Do you think Harrison's bionic pink braid with it's inherited stretch maybe more useful on a surface strike than the superbraid you are using??? Just a thought...
Na not really. One of the fish completely missed the lure anyway so there was no chance of hooking it, which happens pretty often surface fishing for cod.
Awesome morning! Just interested: whenever your lure gets 'boofed' you seem to finish the retrieve, then recast over the same spot. I've always been coached to leave the surface lure alone for a few seconds after a cod strike, as the fish will likely be in its vicinity and may well strike again if you simply twitch the lure; if no repeat strike, then retrieve and recast. Interested in your advice/comment regarding best retrieval method for quickest repeat strikes. Thanks.
Hey mate, there is really no right or wrong way so whatever works for you 👍🏻 as you saw on the video those two fish came back to a straight retrieve the very next cast so often that’s all I’ll do. A pause can be effective too!
