Me..I was 17 when I was introduced to her music. I'm 43 and have had an abusive husband..ive been silent all these years. Im in the middle of a nervous breakdown..shes helping me heal.

This song was my first introduction to Tori. Summer 1992. I had just turned 13 and my parents were going through a divorce. I remember packing up my room while MTV played in the background. Then this video came on. I looked up and was in awe of Tori's beauty and voice. There was something so comforting about her. She was a big influence on me throughout my teens and early 20s. It kinda feels like she raised me into womanhood, lol. I was fortunate enough to meet her when I was 17. She was so ethereal and just as comforting in person. Tori is truly one of a kind.

I saw Tori in concert in 1996 I think it was. I was 15 and it was just after the Boys For Péle album came out. She performed all of her songs from that album and the previous two, within which this song was included. I tell you it was so incredibly sacred to me to be there. It felt like what I'd always thought church should've been. It was healing and made you weep with so many emotions. Ahh nostalgia...

I love all of the female singer-songwriters of the '90s-Generation X. Sarah McLachlan will always be my favorite female artist or singer-songwriter in general and maybe even my favorite human being and I can't get through a day of my life without her; but Tori is the one that I discovered first and she's the one who is more responsible than any other human being for helping me to empathize with the feminist viewpoint. The day in 1997, when as a college frosh, I bought Little Earthquakes at a used CD store was a day that changed my life forever. I'm very grateful to have discovered it; but it makes me sad that someone could have possibly discarded it as forgettable or unappealing.

I first heard this at age 23. I played nothing but Little Earthquakes and Choir Girl Hotel during my psychology honours year. The music just seemed to coincide with the cognitive and emotional rite of passage I experienced during that highly challenging year, which was, essentially, a test of endurance.

You can't make up or contrive this depth of emotion and art. The layers and complexities to her music are so rich, you can't teach that to any of these up and coming artists (maybe a couple get it). But for the most part, I just get bored when I hear what's playing on the radio these days. Hopefully, someone will break the mold and inspire a new wave of this kind of musical genius.

I saw Tori Amos at the University of East Anglia as a live performance... Little Earthquakes, Solitude Standing, and Cornflake girl will be in my album collection forever. She was so friendly with me despite pestering for her autograph... The memory of the kiss on my cheek will never leave me... Thank you Tori, just for being you!!

She replied "You don't have to be here!" She saved herself for the rest of us. She shared motivation, humility, respect, responsibility, objectivity and modeled self-disciple. We were fortunate. I remember the firat time i saw this, I was mesmerized and tears started falling when she turns into the little girl. I bought Little Earthquakes and played it over and over and over. It was what i couldnt express translated into poetry and music notes. Tori's music is spiritual to many.

This is the first song I heard from her. I was at my friends and they had MTV. I bet I was 13 (boy) and it was year 1991. I got captivated by the completely different music and video compared to everything else, oh... and the cute girl also... but we had to go. I think I recognized her later from some different videos (like Cornflake Girl) but it was 1997 when I pirated BT's Blue Skies from some Swedish university's web server (nobody cared back then) and got interested. That song would lead me to trance and other electronic music but more importantly made me to search for more of her stuff. As a person who listens to way too much music I must proclaim her as my favourite artist. Tough spot achieve. Some come close and some old favorites have been dethroned and she remains on top. I own almost all of her releases, also a few of BT's, so perhaps piracy wasn't just a bad thing... lol.
