Really sad to see Tim and Carl on some of their last days. Also really cool to see them doing exactly what they loved, though

Tim Samaras and crew had no idea they only had 4 days left on this earth. Should be a lesson to all of us to do what we love and live every day like it's the last because we never know.

At 5:10 Reed Timmer meets Tim Samaras and Carl Young in Kansas while chasing a tornado this was the last time he ever saw them only 4 days before the El Reno Tragedy. Pretty sad and shocking to see Tim just appear during this chase. Knowing he was killed definitely sent a shiver down my spine. Even Reed was super excited to see him and shame his hand. Just goes to show how much he was respected and trusted innthe chasing community

Really sad seeing Tim and Carl! It’s such a shame they lost their lives a few days after this episode. But they died doing something they loved and that El Reno tornado was insane. Such gentleman. Good episode though!

two thing: 1. Gizmo was PISSED Reed left her behind. 2. It's never easy knowing Joel is gone for good, but seeing the Twistex team again makes me even worse for the wear emotionally

So much emotion seeing the Twistex team in this episode. I love the passion they shared. Recently had to go to Oklahoma on emergency. Took my family to see the Memorial on Reuter Rd. It was very muddy and very wet. I was in my F150 in 4x4. I was telling my wife about how they were in a Chevy cobalt. We were all over the road doing a measly 25-30. I can’t even begin to imagine what they were experiencing going 50-60mph+

Wow seeing Tim and Carl just out and about storm chasing is just so extremely sad! These guys were so loved by the chaser community and their fan base. Horrible tragedy

El Reno was a monster tornado there's no other way to describe it but that shot of Tim Samaras standing next to Reed and the dominator gives me chills every time cause if Tim had of had a vehicle like the dominator instead of the car they had he'd probably be alive today

Tim is a great guy got interested in tornado because of him. Asked him questions in FB but took the time to answer me. I was still living in NY when I spoke to him. Didn't realize that I would end up buying a house in tornado alley Lubbock Texas.

And.. It was 4 days before team Twistex's death..

I took an online animation class with Paul back in 2007 or 2008. We kept in touch and talked often over facebook. Never missing a message to each other on our birthdays. I was absolutely SHOCKED when I learned what had happened. I honestly had no idea who his Dad was, what he did, or that Paul was involved in this stuff. I only knew Paul as a "classmate". May they rest in peace.

I just got so sick to my stomach with tears in my eyes knowing this is the last few days of Tim, Paul and Carl. Such a legend! I remember when he first started posting online his chases and photos. I was so enthralled with meteorology and he made it interesting and fun to learn.

Every year on May 27th I watch this tornado chasers episode. Emotional to see Reed meet Tim, Paul, and Carl for the last time 4 days before they lost their lives.

I’m glad that Reed had a chance to speak to Tim and Carl and have a kind exchange before what happened in El Reno.

It’s nice to see how Reed chilled out some in later years, Was watching reruns of his first season in Discovery’s Storm Chasers, and I was struck by how:..pardon my saying so, but how cocky he seemed back then. I guess wisdom really does come with time & experience

Seeing this scene with Tim and Carl, it reminds of a scene in a season 3 episode of Storm Chasers. The one where Reed and his crew got their very first intercept near Lincoln, Nebraska but the tornadoes winds blew out their windows. Tim and Carl and their colleague drove up to them afterwards to make sure they were okay. Full respect ✊

The genuine love and appreciation that Reed has for other great people in the field is a joy to see. RIP Tim, Carl and Paul.

Shows how unpredictable tornados and weather will always be. Tim Samaras and crew were some of the absolutely SMARTEST and SAFE chasers out there. That Tornado tripled in size in a minute flat. So scary
