Please watch: "Ute VS Wagon chop"
• Should I Chop My Wagon... -~-
Went out for the weekend exploring the Victorian high country with some other fellow youtubers
Racins adventures and 4x4 Brothers, check em out if you havent seen them before.
I wanted to do a little review on the Torqit Twin Stainless exhaust now that i have had it for a few months.
We found some pretty cool tracks and had an amazing time camping out with some great mates.
Get out there and enjoy life people.
Hope you enjoyed the episode

The LC200 is really heavy. I'd get the 76 station wagon or the 79 double cab if i had a family. But for now, I guess the 76 will do. Since both the 76 and 200 are about the same price in my country. This the kinda thing you do before you settle down with someone's daughter. And after a bit of comparison with the 76 and the 200, the 76 does sound more intimidating than a G63. Lump in a Gturbo and tons of customizability, it works out great. And the 180 litre fuel tank tips the scales for me in favour of the 76. Coupled with being much lighter with a shorter wheelbase I can't believe you stalled at 9:30 though

I found the crawl control quite helpful in those situations, why you don't try that before installing the lockers. Another nice video though cheers
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
I didn’t even think about the crawl control at the time to be honest. I did say to the rest of the crew with me later on that I should have tried it. Was kicking myself I didn’t. I’ve come from a twin locked patrol so I’m used to having locker I guess. Plus I’m getting them super cheap. I do plan on doing a video just on the crawl control. Find something the car can’t climb normally and then try to climb it with crawl.

@@Australian4x4Adventures The crawl control works really well. I love it on steep rocky stuff - eliminates the pedal bounce too.

Have you heard the dpf twin exit on a 200 before? Im looking for a system atm but undecided. Torqit is on the radar atm.

Great work again bro 👌 . That tape measure truck was such a fail😂😂😂 you are supposed to measure the arm then put it up to his nose and let it go 👍👍 . Any of the others give it a go ? Like the navs 👌👌
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
Yeah i completely stuffed it up. but it was funny at the time so i kept it in the video. Yeah on next weeks video youll see the Nav Drive/ Attempt the hill

Appreciate the video mate, really enjoyed it - @7:30 have you ever let the foot-off-the-pedal crawl control climb obstacles like this? Although boring, I think it would have made it up that with minimal wheel spin.
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
Hey bud. Thank you and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’ve never really used the crawl control but I had intended on using it but completely forgot until after I had made it up. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. I do plan on doing a video comparing normal drive vs crawl control in the future.

Hey Steve you should do a comparison with the new Stedi Type X Pro against the Narvas just like you did with the original Type X spotties or maybe a comparison of the Adventure Kings lights
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
Stedi has offered to send me a “ press set “ of the type X pro. But I only get them for a week so i need to figure out when I have time to film the episode and make sure everyone else is free at the same time. It is on the cards for sure. Thanks for the input. Appreciate it.

Hi Steve Nice Vid. Did you have the centre diff in or just relying on the traction control. Your filming and quality of each video improves everytime-lets hope your driving does lol
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
Hey bud. Yeah I had the center diff lock in. The video doesn’t show it to well but I was trying the harder line then what everyone else took because I wanted to make it look hard for the video. Better content 🙄. The line I took at the end is the one everyone took from the start and it was fairly easy. Thanks for the compliment on the video and then the slap in the face about the driving skills 😂. I never said I was the best driver around. Just willing to give things a go that’s all.

Not a bad effort driving that top section of Flats Tk did the 62 have a crack ? Have you considered eLockers rather than Air Lockers ?
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
Yeah was a good bit of track. Next weeks video is the trip video. So it shows all the cars trying it. Works out cheaper for me with air lockers. One because I already have the ARB compressor. And two because I have a mate who is getting them really cheap for me.
@jackofjr
@jackofjr 5 лет назад
Australian 4x4 Adventures yeah ok fair enough . I have had both Air Lockers and eLockers the bloody airlockers were forever leaking oil back up the air lines a real PITA , Donnelly Ck , Aberfeldy that's my back yard , there are some great tracks up there , looking forward to next weeks video . Don't hold it against me but I now drive a 62 . 😃😃
@markdavies675
@markdavies675 5 лет назад
Hey Steve , are you putting lockers in ? .. l would look into all types and wouldn’t dismiss e.lockers either, the air type especially arb seems to have the most trouble ..
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
I’m doing the air locker because I’m getting them super cheap. That’s my main reason why. I’m doing a video with both air and E lockers compared on the bench to see what the insides look like. And my mechanic is going to be walking me through the pros and cons of both.
@markdavies675
@markdavies675 5 лет назад
Australian 4x4 Adventures super cheap doesn’t help if they fail and give you the shits by blowing out your diff seal ... then that turn to a SUPER FAIL 😃
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
True. I’ve had air lockers and E lockers in the passed. And neither have ever given me any grief.

At about 2300 RPM it gets a little loud if ya just trying to have a chat. But when it drops into 6th and RPM drops to 1650 the tyres make more noise

That would have busted the front dif in the USA version of that Nissan unfortunately
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
Are they different in the US?
@mblake0420
@mblake0420 5 лет назад
@@Australian4x4Adventures yes, we have what they call the frontier and exterra and they have a car front dif in them (Subaru) I believe.....any front wheel spin and if it catches the front dif explodes. Solution is the full size dif swap known as "titan swap"
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
Ah fair enough then. It seems a bit silly that they would put such a small diff in such a big heavy car.
@mblake0420

@@Australian4x4Adventures that's why I bought the Toyota over it, however our Tacoma has a flimsy frame for "offroad flex" according to Toyota, the helix has a fully box frame for "offroad toughness" lol. We get screwed in the USA no matter what in USA. We have the money so they make them disposable and Gov mandates make them light weight.
@Australian4x4Adventures
@Australian4x4Adventures 5 лет назад
That’s disappointing. Most of our cars are build fairly tough. We have fairly harsh conditions over here so they kind of need to be or they wouldn’t even last a year.

Everyone has different opinions of what’s good and not. I’m not fussed if ppl think it’s easy or hard. For me on the day I had fun. I took the wrong line to start with, I need to be another foot to the left which I ended up doing in the end and drove up it.
@jackofjr
@jackofjr 5 лет назад
Australian 4x4 Adventures , most use the bypass track , I have driven up it a few times when I had my 2x Locked Hilux I have driven that track a few times in my 62 but have always taken the chicken track for that bit , I'm still on stock tyres and suspension The video doesn't really show how snotty that bit is , like all video's and photos
