Good Video. I appreciate that you aren't editing out mistakes and just taking us along with the process of figuring it out.

Thanks Noah but FYI I just pretend to make those mistakes so my videos seem more relatable. In real life I do everything perfectly the first time every time 🤫

I can’t believe I haven’t found this channel while I’m looking around for first gen content!!! Video was great. I’m planning on doing an upgrade on the spindle and add gussets as well.

Yeah the algorithm isn't really recommending my channel as much lately bc I haven't been uploading regularly. Glad you liked the video man thanks

I'm rocking heavy duty dobinson springs in the front. Worth the money with all weight you have in the front
@treehouseoffroad
@treehouseoffroad 2 года назад
I agree. Back when I bought my lift I ordered the Dobs. I waited months and with no ship date in sight I cancelled my order and went for the OME's. They're the HD springs but they've gotten a lot of "exercise" Thanks man nice username

Thanks I visited Seattle for a week when I was young and it didn't rain once. My cousin joked that I should stick around bc I brought the sun. I'd love to get back out to Washington some day, really nice out there

Is the spindle cast? You didn’t seem to have a problem using a flux core welder…???
@treehouseoffroad

03' Gen 1 Sequoia Here. Would it make any sense to use a thin rubber busing between the spacer and the hub ? Just wondering. Love the build Thanks.
@treehouseoffroad
@treehouseoffroad 2 года назад
Just got the wife an '03 she loves it! I've never heard of anyone using a bushing for a spacer but it doesn't seem like a bad idea. Thanks for watching man
@aarondietz8329

Did you preheat the spindles?
@treehouseoffroad
@treehouseoffroad 2 месяца назад
I did not but nowadays I would. I'd Hit it with the map gas, weld it, and then roll it up in a welding blanket and let it cool overnight. I've been having great luck welding Toyota cast steel using this method.

Would flux core wire work just as good? Or better to use my mig w/mixed gas?
@treehouseoffroad
@treehouseoffroad Год назад
I actually use flux core exclusively bc I don't have an indoor space to weld. Works great!
@jakelettera4443
@jakelettera4443 2 года назад
Seemed to be fine welding it with the bearing it?
@treehouseoffroad
@treehouseoffroad 2 года назад
No issues at all. I think the key is to keep feeling inside of it and take your time, bouncing back and forth between the spindles. The one minute welding sequence In the video took about 6 hours in real life.
