So, in order, you saw: Valkia the Bloody, leader of the Legion of the Gorequeen. After that, Azazel, Prince of Damnation, leader of the Ecstatic Legion. Then Festus the Leechlord, leader of the Fecundites. Lastly, Vilitch the Curseling, leader of the Puppets of Misrule. Valkia is like a valkyrie, finding worthy warriors for Khorne, with the head of a Slaaneshi daemon prince as her shield. Azazel is kind of just a massive asshole who betrayed Sigmar way back in the day and is the only one of the four that's technically ascended to daemonhood (the others are very close). Festus used to be a doctor until he met an incurable plague, he begged for the knowledge to cure it and Nurgle gave it to him... along with all the knowledge of every plague that's ever existed and it kind of broke him. Vilitch is the weird worm-dude attached to the big-dude's back, they're also called the Twisted Twins. Vilitch was born a runt and beaten relentlessly, while his brother Thomin was a huge, powerful warrior. Vilitch prayed to Tzeentch every night for years to reverse their fate... and then they woke up to find themselves made into conjoined twins. Thomin is essentially braindead and Vilitch puppets him around.

Also from TWW3- There's the map reveal trailer for the Immortal Empires game mode, with the entire world (or close to it) displayed, along with several dozen legendary lords doing their thing on the game map. Not sure if that's up your alley for a video (it's 13 minutes long by itself), but it's a really atmospheric watch!

"SUMMON THE ELECTOR COUNTS" is one of the phrases by Emperor Karl Franz in the game. The Elector Count are the ruling nobles of the Empire under the Emperor. It basically means that the Empire is mobilizing for, well, Total War (tm). It's also just kind of a beloved meme/catch phrase for all of Warhammer Total War by this point. Although my personal favorite Karl Franz quotes are: "Take me to my men!" and "I am Franz. They will obey." The dude who voices him does a great job of making what is essentially just a regular human sound like the biggest badass in a world of monsters and demons.

Tzeetch's champion is actually two brothers fused together when the weaker magic using one prayed to the dark god. His much more physically powerful brother is now but a puppet with just enough awareness of his horrid state but is otherwise completely without a will of his own.

1:48 "Summon the Elector Counts!" = Avengers Assemble but for warhammer nerds. 3:04 Valkia the Bloody. The Gore Queen. The Consort to Khorne. She's my first campaign and she's awesome so far. Can't wait to unlock her shield for invulnerability. If you guys ever decide to eventually get into total war, just be aware that the grand campaign map including the whole world requires all 3 base games. So it might be worth it to watch it for a sale. With immortal empires out, I'm sure there'll be a bundle for 3 games coming up.

You guys get a like for the Disney+ joke alone! And Bethany is absolutely accurate about the world of warhammer and its lore; it's real easy to lose yourself in just the sheer mass of worldbuilding and storytelling that has been done for both the Fantasy setting of Warhammer that the Total War games use and the sci-fi 40k lore. The vast majority of named characters all have a backstory that ties them to the world and - usually - to other characters of import, making the world feel alive and in motion. It's great, if you can get around how dark the setting is of course!

3:00 Valkia isn't as Killfrenzy as her fellow Khornate champion Skarbrand 8:45, but she's one of the greatest leaders of men in Warhammer.

Nurgel‘s factions are, until now basically chef’s. They’re entirely kampagne, is about brewing plague’s to debuff enemys and buff your own units.

What Karl Franz says at the end of the first trailer is "invoke the elector counts" is a phrase from his diplomatic dialogue that has become a meme. The first champion is Valkia, who is from Khorne, although she may not seem like it, she is human and not a demon, only that Khorne rebuilt her after her death in a way more in line with his tastes (chaos mutations have such effects). The shield she bears is the head of a Slaanesh demon prince whom she killed when she was still a fully mortal queen. Azael is the second champion, from Slaanesh, he is a very old demon prince, from the times of Sigmar (the main god of the Empire) which makes him more than 2500 years old. A demon prince is a mortal follower of the gods of chaos who manages to impress one or more of the dark gods who grant him immortality by turning him into a demon. The third champion is Festus of Nurgle, originally a good man and an excellent physician who saved countless lives and cured many diseases. But one day he found a disease that he was unable to cure, the death it caused drove him to the brink of madness and Nurgle approached him at that moment filling his mind with all the diseases that have ever existed or will exist. That drove him totally crazy and only left in his mind the idea of ​​creating more and better diseases without end. It is better to die in battle than to become the subject of his experiments. The fourth champion is Vilitch, of Tzeentch. He was a Norse barbarian who was born weak and malformed and was despised and mistreated by all. On the contrary, his twin brother was strong and a born leader that everyone loved in his tribe. 9:53 that's Tzeentch :D "The Changer of Ways" he's the chaos god of sorcerers, knowledge and fate, he's the kind of guy who works behind the scenes ever scheming and plotting, one of his greatest servants is kairos fateweaver (the two headed raven man that has a staff with a book on top of it), one head sees the future, the other sees the past yet they're both blind to the present...if he ever gives you anything do not accept, like for example he'll give you a book that tells you the future and you'd gladly take it because you're curious about the future but there's a catch, the only future the book tells you is the day you'll die and you'll end up losing your mind and tzeentch will lay claim on your soul, many seekers of knowledge have been driven mad by this wicked god

The let's play videos Total War released for each of the Chaos Lords are extremely well done. They're very entertaining and you get a good sense of what the game is through them.

I regret not checking this out before. Chaos may be the bad guys, but their unique heroes are out of sight! Also, when the Tzeentch guy summons up an army, the enemy Chaos chieftain was like "I think we're in trouble".

He did have a lisp, and he said "summon the Elector Counts" which is a very nice way of saying "The Empire is fucked". Valkia is a Chosen Champion, very likely the next candidate to become Daemon Princess of Khorne. One of the few anythings to have fought Skarbrand and lived. Her shield is a Slaaneshi daemon beaten quite literally into a shield. She kicks high. Azazel is a true Daemon Prince and the creator of the Ecstatic Legion, one of the most successful Slaaneshi armies ever in the old world. His tail is very friendly. Azazel and Sigmar were actual best of friends during his human life. Festus is a champion of Nurgle. He vowed to cure a plague by any means necessary... and it turned out of the means was becoming the plague itself. Father Nurgle is very generous. Vilitch and Thomlin Curseling is... complicated. In this part of the timeline he is Vilitch the Lesser, a mage of immense power that specializes in mass mind control. Tzeentch, being the fickle mastermind he is, will change the power dynamic between the twins in the future. Be careful what you wish for. Blood. Blood DLC never changes. Back in the day having ANY particles of ... stuff would earn you an instant M rating, and T is what sells; Creative got around this rule by making blood DLC which is unrated by the ESRB. Thus the tradition was born, often rolled out on Valentine's day. Because reasons.

Well, just yesterday Immortal empires which combine all content of all 3 games arrived. That was actually what first trailer was about. Also that guy on the end of first trailer was Emperor of Empire of men himself, Karl Franc. And that "Summon the elector counts!" is his "we are heading in war!" signature line. People were kinda frieking out for it when it trailer drops.

So the first trailer you watched was for the announcement for Immortal Empires, the largest map released for a Total War game to date I think. Every Race from Every faction present on one map to fight each other, and it launched today.

So the line "Blood for the Blood God" in reality be "Gory Messy Blood for the Messy Blood God." So what a great group of video to watch after just getting off a long shift at work. Loved the reaction, the mountain like guy who knocked the spear out of his chest he looks cool and with his buddy he will never be alone. So you two have a great day and STAY SAFE.

Definitely not definitive! I shall respond to a few more videos here soon, but I love your reactions to these trailers and most of them you were spot on! I apologize for being gone for so long, had a concussions for a few weeks and then followed up with covid soon after so I've been gone for a bit mixed with other outside complications. Regardless listening your videos are always a joy! As for the trailers Ill give a break down, :58 - Immortal Empires trailer, it was nice to see just in general all the new factions fight and mix with the older ones, but at the end when Karl Franz said "summon the elector counts" it was more of a joke because in the Warhammer community everyone always says "summon the elector counts!" as Karl Franz and ofc its also so absurd that its an amazing line kinda like "blood for the blood god!" in the sense. That's prolly why you both looked confused at the end haha 2:00 - You are correct it is a Champion of Khorne and whom she is fighting are Slaaneshi foes. Some of us are mixed on the Slaanesh look. I think they look amazing but Slaanesh generally isnt that heavily armored theyre usually a lot less heavily armored and more about speed, but I think CA wanted something that could hold the line for a decent amount of time to allow their cav and other forces to come into play. Regardless the models imo look amazing. Anyway who you're looking at is Valkia the Bloody. Back history of her is ( she has a solo book along with Sigvald that really helps a lot ) she was a norscan princess of a small tribe of norscans. However, her father ended up doing alright as a leader and IIRC conquered some near by norscans as well and strengthen his little kingdom. Ofc Valkia was destined by the stars to be a great warrior and when she was young ( like IIRC 8 or 10 ik shockingly young ) she was paired with her father's future wife ( her mother died ) and the two fought I dont remember if she ended up killing anyone, but Ik her father saved her one last norscan to be slayen by her so she technically killed someone during the battle with a lesser norscan tribe. After that time jumps forward to where shes a teenager and follows her tribe to a pastor like area where they run into a lesser tribe running from a Norscan tribe that follows Khorne. This is where her father and Valkia differ, again Valkia was already marked by Khorne ( ofc she shows no actual physical signs ) and she wanted to kill the lesser tribe coming to ask her father's tribe for aid and refuge, but her father wanted to protect the lesser ones. By then though he was weak and weaker from being extremely sick the dude could barely hold his own at this point as the sickness really hit him. Regardless Valkia got super angry ended up killing him and most of the lesser tribe keeping only the females and kids alive as basically slave labor. When the tribe finally caught up she talked to one of their leaders which was a son of their warchief and thats when the Son introduced Valkia to Khorne by there ( Norscans follow the chaos gods but don't call them by their actual names and its simply cause they know them as something different is all due to culture ) From there Valkia conquers and keeps on conquering all while ending up marrying the son of that tribe and they have two kids. Valkia ends up killing him later down the road since the Son and her ended up having problems ( mostly cause he wanted sons not daughters and valkia and him ended up having two daughters she IIRC ) but from there after conquering and making big kingdom in Norsca. Daemon Prince of Slaanesh comes to try and make her one of his sex slaves basically ( u know slaanesh ) and she in a fit of rage murders him after fighting for a whole day ( mind u at this point theyre both basically monsters anyway since Valkia did some pretty careless acts even up until this point as well such as rape her husband, let her village get burned down while she fights the Slaaneshi Prince, murders her father, murders a bunch of defenseless people, lets her step mom basically die, etc ). Anyway after slaying the Daemon Prince and having his head mounded on a shield ( mind u the slaanesh prince is still alive ) he guides her to where u go to enter the realm of chaos, along the way she fights various foes and at the end the slaaneshi prince kinda had a trap set up for her since Slaanesh also took notice of Valkia, but then Khorne sends his bloodletters to defeat them. Mind u Valkia does die at the last step out of the 10 steps or whatever before she could enter the realm of chaos. Khorne's forces pick her up and Khorne reforges her kinda like how Doomslayer gets reforged and remade and the features u see on her now is what Khorne did to her. Now she spends like 10 years in the realm of chaos killing daemons and taking names then comes back out destroys her kingdom kills he daughter ( she had two but IIRC the other daughter got killed while she was asleep after giving birth by their uncle whom valkia also kills to ) and from there on just fights all the time. During the End times she fights Malekith and loses and then she loses in a double K.O to Ludwig Schwarzhelm as they both die since she falls on his banner or something like that it was rather lame, anyway that's a very generalized summary of valkia the bloody. She murders a lot though including a Dark Elf Priestess on a Black Dragon, but again details are super vague for this since this would be a lot longer lol 3:05 - Azazel is the dude who is again as u guys stated with Slaanesh. He's ofc fighting Khorne. The thing with azazel is the dude has been around for a long time as in he was Sigmar's best friend ( yes the human turned god WAY before Karl ever took office ) and has been an issue towards the Empire specifically because he hates Sigmar. Reason is he blames sigmar for getting his brother killed in battle and how his sister fell in love with Sigmar and out of spite killed her to. Mind u they were close friends but these were the biggest turning points and ofc getting caught and banished from Sigmar ( mind u the two were in the same tribe ) He went to the Chaos Wastelands ( since he was again banished also for being a worshipper of chaos ) and pledged himself instantly to Slaanesh. In return Slaanesh made him the most "beautiful thing ever and the most horrifying thing ever" at the same time. Basically what happens is if he can get u to look at him he medusa's u but worse.... meaning all ur blood to ur brain goes down to ur under pants and ure on ur knees ( mortal and or lesser daemon ) alike wanting to blow him. Regardless he's fought his fair share of enemies or more like seduced them because again.... Questing Knights, Cults of Ulric, etc have tried to hunt him down and put an end to him only ended up on their knees begging for his greatness and so on and from there he either kills or make u a slave and then kills u after he gets bored. During the end times though he gets some time but it doesnt last long. He talks smack to Sigmar ( whom owns Karl at the time IIRC ) and gets bonked soon after, but hey at least he got to talk smack right? lol There isn't a whole lot of lore though for Azazel simply due to GW forgetting about him and moving on. GW has a special way of getting some sick characters written like my personal favorite Dechala, but doesnt give them a ton of history. Unlike Valkia Azazel's book ( which isnt necessary his ) is more of Sigmar's past because again they were from the same tribe and did similar stuff and only split when Azazel blamed Sigmar for getting his brother killed ( ironically by orcs )

Enjoy all of your Warhammer stuff an awful lot, I'm a layman in the Warhammer 40k universe and greatly enjoyed your dives into 40k, will happily follow you into the Fantasy realm as well, its been an interesting ride for sure!

The one you’re talking about who can see the future and the past is kairos fateweaver. He’s an incredibly powerful magic user but the fact he can’t see the present makes him a not so powerful melee combatant.

My most favorite lord in these trailer would be Vilitch the curseling, A.K.A. The Twisted Twins, as I also love Festus the Leeclord, the mad doctor of Fecundites and his little blue Nurgling daemon. The update for the mortal lords is out and I am very much enjoying these two lords so much my game crashed, lol. But the lore about these two are the most fascinating one out of all four Champions of Chaos. Also that weird ship-looking thing those chaos spawn are carrying Warshrine, it boosted Chaos worshippers morale and bring accursed effect to the enemy that face them.

With a lot of the total wars that have been seen, it would be a good idea I think for total war three kingdoms. Because I think they are well worth it ^^

Yeah Nurgle grosses me out too, although that's the point so good job to the team. Tzeench also has the same effect half the time. These ones are kind of tame. One of the first Tzeench things I ever seen was a 3-arm sorcerer whose jaw split in the center and the left half descended down to his naval and the dragon Galrauch who was split from head to neck with web like masses of muscles, eyes, and teeth lining the inside of its warped body. Tzeench has a lot of "kill it with fire" stuff. Random game facts, the last trailer was to announce they put blood and gore into the game, which wasn't well received. Honestly charging money for putting blood into a Warhammer game is like charging money to put fatalities into Mortal Kombat. However, I guess for some reason they needed an ESRB rating of Teen so they couldn't release the game in its raspberry jam glory as we all know raspberry jam is a very Mature thing, so they did a loophole where if you release a Teen game you can later release DLC will all the jam you want, and it won't affect the rating as long as it has a price tag on it. So they charged $ 3.49(USD) for it and it effects all Total War Warhammer games. They wiggle out of a Mature rating, and Warhammer gets it's blood. Is that respecting the IP or corporate greed? Guess that depends on the person, but it's interesting for a nerd like me.

Yall should react to the immortal empires map trailer. It combines all the Warhammer games (total war Warhammer 1, total war Warhammer 2, and total war Warhammer 3) and puts it into 1 map. its quite a cool trailer.

Valkia! The demoness of Khorne was once a human queen so cruel and violent that, when her allies betrayed her and killed her, Khorne brought her back to life... AS HIS WIFE! Also, you cannot see in this trailer but... Once a demon prince of Slaanesh made fun of her, saying she'll be better off in the bed, rather than the battlefield, and she took it rater well... She ripped off his face and put it onto her shield! The Tzeentch champion are Vilitch, they are two brothers and Vilitch is actually the larva-like one that sprouts out of the back of the other, now barely a mindless brute, to which he constantly murmurs of lies, schemes and cruelties.

Valkia the Bloody, the demon lady you saw early on is the one I was most excited for, especially since Khorne is my favorite chaos god behind Slannesh. She is such a badass. Edit: Omfg that Disney Plus remark XD

I know little about 3 other Chaos Champions, but the first one, the winged lady - that is Valkia the Bloody, Daemon Princess of Khorne, also known as Gorequeen.. I absolutely loved her novel, I highly recommend it. That shield she carries? That is actually a Daemon Prince of Slaanesh, who once tried to seduce and enslave her. But as you can see, he failed. For Valkia claimed the bed of Khorne himself. The one you liked - that is Thomin. But the one in controll is Villitch - the one on the back, the mastermind of conjoined twins. And during End Times Thomin took over and Villitch became the enslaved one.

Blood for the blood god is a dlc each game had. Creative Assembly didn’t want to release the base game with blood animations because that would mess up the game’s rating, so they added them in later.

The first video ending is kind of a joke. Everyone pointed out this was promoting the new Immortal empire campaign combining all 3 war hammer games having 270 something kingdoms all fighting wars at once on one map. The largest campaign map they ever made with 86 different lords to choose from. With so many different fantasy races to play as yet the plurality still favors the basic normal humans from game 1. So after all they have created for us the fans were most excited to play humans again and kill fantasy creatures.

Fun fact about Valkia, the first Lord shown, she was a mortal woman who'd killed a Daemon of Slaanesh that had pissed her off. She then took on a quest to bring it personally to Khorne, and when she died on that quest, Khorne was so enraged that he brought her back from the dead, molded her to a more appealing image, and set her out again to kill in his name. He also set the Daemon's head in her shield after she arose again. She's the one I'm most excited to play today lol

on the table top Fateweaver has the worse melee rating in the chaos armies if not the whole game its a score of 1 - rank and file human soldiers have 3, but this makes perfect sense as timing and reactions are key in melee and when you can see all attacks you foe will make it can be very confusing, as they can see ALL possible futures but have no idea which timeline you are in. XD

The game with literal lakes of blood, 80-story blood fountains, and Great Unclean Ones violently crapping green slime on enemies is finally allowing blood to actually come out of people’s bodies. But you gotta pay for it for it first. The blood DLC was pretty cheap for the last two titles. But it’s still kind of silly and stupid. It’s just a quick cash grab for something that the game really should already have.

Well it's pretty much impossible to mess up how to pronounce Tzeentch as pretty much no-one knows how it's pronounced (well people at Games Workshop might but they're not telling).

So, this isn't really relevant unless you decide to buy the game and play it, but the Blood For The Blood God trailer is actually promoting the 3rd installment of Total War Warhammer's Blood DLC. Creative Assembly ran into an issue early in development with the first Total War Warhammer that putting in blood and gore would boost the age rating of the game and also get it banned in several countries. Because this was a big part of development, it was sidelined in favor of developing other factions, and was released later on in each game's development. And because free DLC is essentially considered a patch, they had to sell it as pay-for DLC to not drive up the age rating of the game or get it banned. It is extremely cheap, and while there are 3 iterations of it, buying it once on any of the 3 games is supposed to apply it across all 3.
