Great video! Just a little information: as "von Carstein" is inspired by German names, you'd pronounce it like this: von, the "V" like the "PH" in phone, rest of it like "on" and the "EI" in Carstein like the "I" in high

It´s funny how Warhammer created this universe from history. Transylvania became Sylvania and the empire is strictly similar in a way with the Holy Roman Empire (You know ,the empire that wasn´t holy, nor Roman and neither an Empire). Rexasaur mentioned the *Strigoi* as part of the Vampire counts , that comes from the Transylvanian/Romanian mythology but they wern´t vampires so them being part of the Vampire counts is a no no. Quick mention , the *Strigoi* are usualy considerd the most powerful bastards in the Romanian mythology and unlike the Vampires , they really were immortal, as in , you had no way of killing them (unlike the vampires). In the real mythology they were more like devilish creatures or souls ,but not blood sucking bastards :D oh and they were invisible mostly , but when they wanted they were capable of transforming themselves in animals or even occupy the body of a person or vampire or pretty much anything. Because of that some people make a confusion between the *Strigoi* and the Vampires whom were some little bastards .

Vampires do have sorcerer = Necromancer. I hope there will be a DLC for the different Bloodlines of the Vampires. Von Carstein = Classic sophisticared Count Dracula - Style Necrarch = Nosferatu, rotten and crazy Magevampires (my favorites) Strigoi = More Beasts than Person Lahmia = seducing Vampireladys Blooddragons = Vampireknights with Honour

Good videos. I think alot of TW players who don't play the tabletop game need a bit of introduction to the world.

Vampire faction should have a lot of civil war tendencies.

I want a Vampire count like Dracula Untold. Goes alone against an army alone because he has physical power tree?

You know when you said Vampire Counts are really unique and there's nothing like them? Well, they're actually quite similar in mechanics to Tomb Kings. Tomb Kings are just a hell of a lot more awesome! (Definitely no bias there)

I have been wondering about the raising the dead part as well. I was thinking that in a certain mode they could gain free units on the campaign map (like the tanukhids),also if in battle do the raised dead join existing units or form new ones? If the latter is it anywhere or from where people have died as if anywhere good luck guarding artillery and archers who will be distracted or defeated.

I used to play a lot of Tomb Kings so I'm really interested to see if they're in any future games/DLC

I'm willing to bet they'll make vampire counts able to "hire" undead units as faction specific mercenaries. Instead of making a new mechanic they'll simply rename an old one. Also I think a player will probably have to choose between having a large army of crappy units or an elite army of special units.

Vampires only night battles. SO that helps with the scariness. Cause you cant see the invisible enemy army of monsters.

Vampire count would have escape mechanism, shrouds and mysts n stuff will they? You go in exploit a breach, then disappear into the myst before the enemy can counter you. Empire has vah Helsing type witch hunters or something, immune to horror n stuff.

What about the femir, amazon weman, dogs of war, sea elves, and the pegmi, the halflngs, chaos dwarfs, and some of the other discontinued armies.

is this game out yet?

I wonder if Edward Cullen and Bill Compton can come out in the vampire army in Warhammer Total War. Lol. Nah, I'm just kidding. That would not fit. I'm just a little disappointed that the high elves, chaos,Skaven, and the wood elves with their tree like creatures won't come out as playable factions.

What happens to the vampire counts in 40k?

Strigoi thats in romainian and it means vapire in english.
