That’s because well, they changed it. This is animation 2.0, the current version of the game is animation 3.0. The reason why they went with animation 3.0 instead of 2.0 is because 2.0 was very buggy and hard to fix, plus time consuming.
Dino Dipsy how is that no excuse. Its best for the players. Landfall said Animation 2.0 was hard to work with, unless you want to wait another 6 years like how Yandere Dev did I’m not doing this. Maybe you think its not an excuse but most don’t want to wait for 6 years. Landfall always chooses the best for players.
@Dino Dipsy the dev videos seem to paint the wrong picture. These are mostly just the highlights of the old system, otherwise it would just be nonstop glitches, bugs, and crashes. Sure it may look good, but the good doesn't outweigh the bugs.

The chariot definitely needs an overhaul, considering what it's like right now. Also, do you have any idea how spinning blades on the wheels were able to cut things so well? I feel like blades attached to the frame would cut more efficiently.
That would be pretty cool, although I don't think Landfall will make it possible for units to be sliced apart. I'd like to see that as a feature that happens on the killing blow if a blade hits certain parts of the body. I don't want blood and gore effects, just the ability for units to be cut into pieces.
No I freakin hate the chariots they serve no purpose but destroy everything in front of them even your own troops!!!! Hopefully the cavalry won't make the same mistake
wouldn't it be cool to make some troops combine and make special things happen? Like with the archers they can combine with a fire type of troop and put the arrows on fire to shoot flaming arrows?
Be happy its a game in the first place. It could be like any other great title that's rushed by the parent company and does well. terribly. Luckily I dont think Landfall has a parent company. Yet. Hopefully.

the bow looks great there's a drawback now there much more accurate shots my one problem with this is that multiple archer aim for the same person it would be much more effective if it targeted different enemies overall great job keep it up
a mythical faction with dragons that breathe fire and unicorns that stab, elves with daggers that are really quick, if you dont already have a place thats where the minitaur could go, and a giant chicken, it should fly above and drop eggs filled with smaller chickens
when you shoot an arrow, the hand pulling the string goes backwards, towards the shoulder, and I'm not very certain but I'm pretty sure right handed people hold the bow with their left, but it could be just modern day archery
Yessss, I've actually been thinking of this *the 2.0 version of archers* it's not like before the arrows mediately shoot all the bow now the units actually pull back the bow to shoot and it shows the arrow is well on the bow good job landfall
Add an elemental faction: fire man shoots fireballs water man shoots water blasts like a water gun earth man shoots rocks up out of the ground nature man traps enemies in vines and slowly poisons them air man flies and blows away enemies lightning/thunder man summons lightning from the sky frost man freezes enemies light man shoots purifying light beams, does double damage to dark man dark man like the old dark peasant but not quite as strong, half damage to light man
It would be cool if they made an ice unit that has a gun that freezes units or the blast can shoot from its hands and speaking of that maybe elemental units like units of fire, earth, water and air/ice

My theory: we didn’t get these better animations because of how many simulations and animations are happening at once and computers hate the gamers already
It should be a bit fixed cuz when they burst it goes like one enemy gets 6 arrows in chest and guy next to him is untouched nobody missed there were more archers than guys but he's untouched cuz his arrow is in someone who would die being hit 1 time.

That was the 2.0 system, which was scrapped because it took a disproportionate time to add new stuff and fix bugs so development would’ve taken many more years.
I heard that they decided to delete some units because they rejected new physics system v 3.0, because "It was too hard for them to work and create units with this system". But I didn't see a single tweet about it or youtube video, so it looks like clickbait. And I am very upset about it, because current physics/animation system makes units look dumb and drunk. And it is not "Funny", you should be letsplayer or snizophrenic to laugh at how unit stucks and falls after every step. This is just annoying. And I am not sure if even multiplayer can fix it. If you want to laugh and have some fun, better invite friends and play UCH, Move or Die or some other games from Multiplayer Party Pack. There are also lots of bugs and crashes, and you can't make 50 vs 50 battles, because optimization is also very poor. Excuse "It is an early access" doesn't work, because they postponed release so "The game would be completely finished when we release it". Everybody is just hyped and give the game they were waiting for years 5 stars after 10 minutes of playing. And nobody even made honest review about this game. This is the only thing that can warn developers. I know it might sound like a steam review, but there are too many meaningless positive reviews on Steam that it is quite more possible that someone will hear me on youtube. And if I sound like a Hype-Eater and game hater, I truly waited this game. I played Open Alpha and I am upset that they deleted half of units since then. Upd: I will copy this comment to all people that don't understand what happened
It would be cool if you could make your own Trojan Horse in the Unit Editor, so you could select what goes in it. It should release from 3 to 5 of that unit, and only humans can go in. It would cost 100 more than the amount of troops inside it, and it would protect them until thet got 10 tiles away from its starting position. What do you guys think?
