@@BRUCEJJ66 That's not really true and you can't really compare the risks like that because you might drive to the grocery store 30 times a month but get choked out once in a year. There are very real reports of people getting cerebral, eye and vascular complications for fighting chokes too long and while people think it is safe and harmless there are very real risks associated with it.

Looks like she knows no jujitsu there was no attempt to prevent a back take into a whole rear naked choke. Looked like was participating in a totally different sport
i mean... go and compete.. but make sure you spent at least 4-5 months of training.. you cant be defending a rnc by pulling the hand which is on your neck.. might as well go compete without any training
Not sure what tournament it is, but looks they belong to two different weight classes. No way they should be competing. Could have ended worse. Good intervention from the referee.

It's an obvious mismatch but the girl simply has a better chance of dying driving to and from the NAGA tournament than she does of getting choked to death at the tournament... These refs are trained and to kill someone with a blood choke takes an impressive amount of time... all in all its not nearly as dangerous as it looks. Boxing and football are much more deadly destructive to the mind and body.
I can tell you have never done anything athletic in your life. As someone who used to wrestle in the 215 weight class, coaches used to task me with putting smaller wrestlers through the ringer in practice. Guess what, none of them died despite being half my size. In fact, I got quite a bit of appreciation when they won medals.
