fun fact: you can time out koishi's final spell without it coming super crazy or even changing just beat the first phase of her spell card for 120 seconds
I totally agree with koishi being on the A tier, she has a very difficult fight, which i tryed for one whole month, in the end i defeated her and then multiplier times with different support characters from marisa and reimu (P.S. Im a Koishi and Remilia Lover ^-^)
My List would be: WTF Marisa: Marisa Brutal: Flandre, Koishi Very Difficult: Nue, Hecatia Difficult: Yukari, Mamizou, Raiko (without Marisa B Bomb Abuse) Normal: Suwako, Okina Easy: Ran, Mokou, Saki And if we want to include the Extra Stage Boss from Touhou 18, Momoyo, I would put her into Difficult. (And ik this video came out before UMs Full Release)
Ran is Easy and Flandre is Brutal? How come, I've beaten Flandre quite some time ago, but I'm nowhere even close to clearing Ran. Sure, PCB gives you a lot more resources than EoSD, but the spell cards are way harder in every aspect - dodging, pattern-reading, learning, mechanics... for some reason, people really tend to forget that about PCB D:
@@SUPERNOOB20 For me Extra Lives and Bombs are one very important thing to know how difficult an Extra Boss is. Also i have beaten Flandre only 2 times and 1 of them was extremly close, Ran have i beaten with every Shottype and wasnt really that difficult for me (maybe because she was the first one i have beaten and spend because of that a lot of time with her what maybe could have helped me to learn the Spells or sth like that)
@@Queen_Booette Ohhhh, I see, you have a point there, ggs for those extra clears! As for me, I literally got further in EoSD extra without bombing at all than PCB extra without restrictions, even if I put in more or less the same amount of time in both stages, but yeah, I started with EoSD and I play TH 6 a lot more than TH 7 so ":D
@@SUPERNOOB20 I also started with EoSD, but after my first 1cc and some tries in Extra I saw that I'm not good enough for that and went on to PCB and came back later with more Touhou knowledge. ^^"
mokou was one of the easiest for me and also death bombing is easy and you can get quite bit of lives ,suwako is also simple everything else is fine, the good thing about touhou is that every single list is different, and my favorite extra is raiko , the battle with the music is amazing. and yes hecatia is really hard
Pretty good tier list, but i would switch out some characters. First of all is mokou. She's not that hard other than her last nonspell and the "last" last spell. She's pretty much a know-how boss so she's only hard if you dont know what youre doing. I will put her down in B or C tier. Mamizou is actually quite tough and heavily skill based. She's really fun though, i would say. I would put her in A tier just because getting to her is quite a pain, and the second half of her fight is really tough. Raiko is actually a hard boss. Well, not really if you're using mariB and abusing her bomb in nonspells, which is what you can see in score runs. Her spells are pretty tough like Alternate Sticking, though i agree that her survival is really hard, even though its just static and aimed. Not sure if i would put it in A or S tier. Im pretty much fine with everything else, though im not sure about marisa because i still havent unlocked the extra stage nor saw a gameplay video of it. --i literally have an LNN in 1 route and still havent played the extra stage lol--. I did heard she is really hard but might be easier if routing it makes it much easier than Hecatia.
People think Suwako is hard? Even when I wasn’t good at the game I played her for fun. Her nonspell patterns are pretty simple, and her spells don’t have anything too crazy in them.
@@RuV9999 That's honestly what I love about the fight. Figuring out her spell cards feels like a puzzle, and it's very satisfying to realize what you need to do to beat them.
i've played all Extra stages in windows era(except 9) and tbh i put Koishi and Mamizou in S tier while Hecatia and Junko in A tier. the reason why is the way how days taken to im finished the extra stage. Hecatia and Junko take me at least 2 days to clear while Koishi and Mamizou takes 3 or 4 days to clear. other than that just take 1 day to clear. and im agree Koishi heart spell and her final spell are ridiculous and Mamizou animals spell are extremely hard not only that im also died a lot at her nonspell attack/ doll spellcard.
In terms of difficulty, i agree with a lot of these, except Hecatia. She's definitely harder than Marisa *overall*, since using Reisen tones down the difficulty by A LOT. My personal tier list, measured in terms of how fun the entire stage is to play and replay (rather than difficulty) S: Koishi, Marisa A: Ran/Yukari, Mokou, Nue, Suwako B: Flandre, Mamizou, Raiko, Hecatia, Momoyo C: Okina, Saki
I'd kinda disagree with Suwako and Mokou, as both of them are not hard compared to alot of the other extra bosses (except for their last spells, not surprising to say the least). While you do have to do a lot of precise dodging in some sections, they mostly become a cakewalk once you figure out the strats. Only hard spells Suwako has are Jade of the Horrid River, Froggy Braves the Wind and Rain, and the last spell that is straight from lunatic because it is the last spell, Mishaguji-Sama (not gonna be suprised if this spell alone is the reason you put Suwako on A tier). No Mokou because I haven't played IN yet, but the last spell is obviously the hardest. Overall: I'd say both of them are either C or D tier difficulty (Suwako may well end up in C though because of the last spell alone)
My ranking on difficulty for extra bosses (excluding Nue because UFO 1cc is a no no) would be: For a clear: Momoyo Hecatia Raiko Marisa Koishi Mamizou Yukari Ran Mokou Suwako Matara Saki Flandre For NB+ (witheout using special mechanics of the game either) Hecatia Momoyo Raiko Marisa Matara Mokou Saki Suwako Koishi Yukari Mamizou Flandre Ran But in quality and enjoyability, from best to worst, i'd say: Raiko Marisa Momoyo Mamizou Mokou Saki Koishi Hecatia Matara Suwako Yukari Ran Flandre
Ok i Agree I would Also Put Koishi On The A list Just Because of That One Spell I Keep dying You Would Practice Like 10 times a Day You would Still Cant Beat her And Also for the Last Spell for Koishi You Just need Insane Timings Or your Dying Like me. Overall I Agree With Some off the Characters You Rate

@@RuV9999 aah i see. the 2nd change (from red to blue) is indeed the downfall of many. but it is still flandre's easier spell compared to say 4 of a kind
My list would be something like this: S+: Hecatia S: Koishi A+: Momoyo, Nue, Raiko A: Flandre, Mamizou B: Yukari, Ran C: Mokou, Suwako D: Saki F: Okina
I really do have to keep reminding myself, this is one person's opinion, this is not official ranks, this is not anything more than one person's thoughts as Flandre's by far my favorite boss battle and have an entirely different thought of her. The Touhou Games were still new for "Windows" so she's extremely challenging for first timers. Super "experienced veterans" will always underrate her.. She's my S tier for the fact her music's amazing, her design is unique and until 17.5 came, she was the most overlooked, and seemingly unloved by Zun himself. BUT, that's simply my opinion, so yeah, like they say, opinions are like a** holes, everyone's got one. Rant aside, you have some major skill, I'll grant you that. P.S. That "one spell" is called Maze of Love. Yes, it's a tough one haha. Besides, it even shows that. But I digress, ALL characters are easy once you muscle memory their spellcards. Again proof it's purely bias to one's thoughts. And.. for Marisa.. Her music's amazing, her spell cards, I'd grant her an A on a good day. (But here we go with my bias lol.) ♥
