The way how Fabian doing his timetrail on his bike is an art from another planet His bikeposition is perfect an example for many riders His cadence is amazing 120 till 130 rpm
Awesome! Fabian really rocks, he has such an amazing technique of bikeriding. Everytime he is getting into the curve, I get really scared ( scared is not the accure world but however). He is a great sportsmen and I really ennjoy watching him
im 36 and i recall the great time trialist of the past..lemond..indurain..theirry marie chris boardman..none of them had the power this guy does...i have to agree that i think if all goes well in his career and he can keep out of trouble he will be the best tt'ist ever...he can ride cobbles too dont forget..nice to see a man in the classics and in the big 3 week races..he is most likly to get the first leaders jersy..amazing cyclist, hope he is around for a long time.
did you think if Chris Boardman is in Tour De france or Tour De Suisse? what would they thinks in time trial? thumps up if you agree!..........gear nothing compare even your knee can't follow!
@saucy05 Yeah well since they can build bikes well below the UCI weight limit they could easily make a bike that was 15 pounds with a motor. In fact since most of the frames are so light nowadays, the pros have had to add weights to their bike to make them UCI legal.
@13tarmac Contador's legs aren't exactly tiny. Oxygen uptake, heartrate, vo2max, etc play a much bigger role than muscle mass anyway. Not to mention the volume of trianing the pros do...centuries day after day..
@l0lz0r85 my guess is in the 400ish, this is purely an estimate based on what Contador can produce while weighing almost 50 pounds less than Cancellara.
@TheCyclist3 You gotta remember though that was Roman Kreuziger. Yes, he wasn't gonna win the TT, in fact he was 7th on the day, but he was still fighting a GC battle. He ended up 3rd overall. Every second counts.
The Video is GREAT!!!.I think that the song isn't very good for the video but ...doesn't metter XD.FABIAN CANCELLARA is one of my favourite ciclists, but for me the best is MARK CAVENDISH :Q________
this vid is amazing i watch it over and over...does anyone know the music that is used? Alright people tell me something....id like to know how many of you would like to see fabian break the hour record...its been on the shelf for a long time..fabian seems to do well with a UCI approved bike, i think he could do it, boardman was a great TT rider but he was no where near this man in terms of regularity...i admire fabian so much..i just watch this and think , "this man is an absolute bad ass!"
its awesome isnt it?..there is a vid on youtube labled something like (the bike fabian didnt ride) but its a SHIV just like this one he is on just a differnt color..if you cant find it let me know and ill find it for ya..
Weight doesnt matter so much in a time trial as the course tends to be flatter, infact it probably helps the wheel roll more, sort of like a flywheel effect, this disc wheel isnt too much heavier than most deep wheels (the price tag is however) But the main advantage is the aerodynamics there are no spokes to generate resistance and minutes can be saved with a long enough time trial, or an iron man for example. I was gunna say its carbon not plastic, but carbon is technically a type of plastic..
I don't disagree with you, but there seems to be some mixed theory on this. I have the specialized bottle and can't say theres much difference except it holds less water!
I agree alekandur63! it scares me when he rides a decent too because he cuts corners soooo close, but he clearly know what he's doing. He's a very agressive rider!
@saucy05, What are you saying about yourself...Like zoomustard said, show us a DC motor and battery small enough to fit and produce 40 watts at less than 1,200 RPM..
£6,000? The wheels alone are almost £4,000, the groupset is £1,400, and the frameset is £4,200, not to mention all the smaller parts such as saddle and pedals, it probably costs above £10,000...
@baroh2413 Remember this vid only shows his best part. If he was as you say he'd win the Tour de France every year even with his 185 pounds in the mountains. I know he's one of the best all-rounder when it comes to 1 day races but don't compare him to TDF winners.
@zoomustard Obvioulsy a motor is not going to make a chump to one of the best Time Trialist. But if used properly it can make a world of difference in the professional world where they shave their legs for performance sake lol. For example as you saw in Tour of Flanders, Fabian pulled away from Boonen when both seem to be at their max. If (big if) in that case fabian was using his motor even if it was for a small duration, that would basically decide the race.
He is not using an aero bottle - must be some truth to the traditional round bottle trumps aero theory. Great vid & I agree tt bikes are v expensive - top stuff is approx 10k US$, but i agree, P2 is just as v good.
