I'm 63years old and really trying to relocate here by December 1, 2022 from Portland Oregon. This just makes me long to be there even more. I'm really praying that everything comes together for me! Thank you for sharing.
AS a history man I must relate to you that your name is famous in the Morgantown area. There were two coeds murdered in 1970 and it is currently being investigated again as a cold case. One of the girls names was Karen Ferrell.
Wow. I was on the fence about putting this on my list of places to potentially relocate to. This video helped me confirm it's definitely worthy of consideration! Thanks for the info :)
My husband & I are looking to move out of Florida, we're interested in Morgantown thanks to the Fallout 76 video game! That clocktower, unmistakable, to us that's Vault Tec University! I'm watching this to further research the area, thanks for a wonderful virtual tour 😀
@Subuwu Life long story short, hubby told his work he was leaving & they offered him a promotion with a pretty high pay rise. Sadly, where he works doesn't have a place in WV. Weighing up the odds we've had to put our plans on hold but give it a couple years, we'll look into it again.
@Subuwu Life could you consider renting out your house via a realtor? Moving like this is a very scary thing indeed. I've moved a lot but the 2 biggest moves I ever did was moving from the UK to the arctic circle then 4 years later back to UK, 6 months later I upsticks & moved to the USA. It is scary but also very exciting. If you are really worried though, rent out your house. At least it means you have something to come back to if you need to. Rentals are snapped up incredibly fast in FL so you won't have difficulty there 👍

@@historyofmorgantownwvpeopl74 Never knew of one. We go there yearly to visit 7 family members and many friends at East Oak Grove Cemetery. Thank you. I will try to get there.
amazing video! i was at WVU in the mid/late 90s and get excited whenever I can talk about my time there. been searching high and low, even tried to Shazam the song at the end, but no luck. any assistance on that one? Starts at 24:26
I’m looking to visit this year… I like the idea of living away from the East Coast but I’m used to the more Bohemian atmosphere of Greenwich Village… so Morgantown seems like the best option… we’ll see….
A Aardhond it's not a good spot to live in. It's one of the poorest states. Horrible public schools. Epidemic drug problem. I grew up there. Morgantown is one of the best cities in the state. Charleston another. While it's beautiful there are much better states to live in.
@@historyofmorgantownwvpeopl74 dude you're trying to sell people on a morgantown that doesn't exist except maybe for the out-of-state university students with rich daddies. let me guess, you're not actually a townie, a native, but someone from most likely the east coast who came here to go to school, right? stop encouraging fools to move here, jobs are scarce and affordable housing doesn't exist.
@@furmomma I've been through the whole Granville, Westover, and Morgantown. Actually I should say the whole West virginia. If I never seen u, I wouldn't be commenting here. And why am I up so early? Why are u up so early? Its 5:27 a.m
Actually, the Bill Danoff wrote the song and John Denver and Bill and Taffy sang it. I talked with Mr.Danoff in NC---they had Never been to WV when that song was written. There were in in Maryland going to a wedding...nothing rhymed with Maryland, so...W.V.
