Jurors were taken on a tour of the Moselle property the day before the handed down their verdict in the Alex Murdaugh trial. Here's what the property looked like.
People process and handle grief differently. He may also be on medication or have similar sociopathic personality as his father . He is probably most concerned about what money he will be able to inherit after all the civil suits. That’s why he sold all the Tractors , atvs , farm implements etc for cash as soon as his dad was arrested
They’re selling this property for 3.9 million. Not sure who’d want to buy a property with history of a heinous double murder. Seems it would be haunted. Looks a little eerie just watching this video.
I can see why Maggie did not like being there alone. It’s no wonder she wanted so many housekeepers, just for the companionship they offered. Alex was a very selfish man. Isolating their source of supply is a common tactic of a narcissist.
No sympathy for “Maggie”,👎 From what I’ve seen I am pretty sure that she was involved in the “suspicious death” of her housekeeper,(practically a FAMILY MEMBER,😂😂😂,) Mrs Sattersfield.
@@nampijjanazifah6358 her whole point is to say that it helped her as a jury member to go to the scene of the crime. When the world would you say she shouldn’t mention it that’s her whole point. That’s a strange statement on your part.
I now understand why Maggie preferred her other home. All that money and no cameras? They died in a pole barn on dirt. Alec should have spent less time with guns and more time gardening. Pathetic.
Absolutely. It looks like a horror movie. There killing doves 🕊 for chrissakes!! Alex would not have been so fat if he gardenened instead of driving around in a golf cart shooting at animals. Do some gardening!!!! I have seen actual cattle and pig 🐖 farms in Massachusetts that were much cleaner and inviting
The property is dried and in disrepair now. His son has never been back there he said. It was perfectly manicured, maintained and watered before the crime. It’s an incredibly poignant visual metaphor for that family and the ruin it is now.
@@jamie.777 God I said that in another post you just said it PERFECTLY when did Alex ever talk nicely about the dogs. We know he lied about the Hogs and made it more than it was.. he was no environmentalist. CRYing about tthe sunflowers 🙄 sure he was the one that sprayed with Roundup for some devious reason I'm sure... all so he could go and shoot DOVES? talk about a miserable, violent, brainless LIFE. show for it . Lies misery and murder.
All that acreage and those dogs had to live in their own filth when they could have had kennel runs. These ppl didn't give a damn abt anyone but themselves.
bunch of assholes lol what's next r you gonna say the dogs didn't like the paint color on the doghouse & they drink chilled figi bottled water, tap water gives them gas.
No way would I live that far in the boonies. I can see why getting wifi would be difficult. I also find it odd that they have no security cameras on the property. I understand why Maggie preferred to stay at the beach property rather than this desolate place.
Marian said on witness stand Maggie had found a house she loved in Blufton had her parents& her view it. She was so excited. Had borrowed $650K to completely renovate the Edisto beach house which was nearly complete when she was murdered. Then Alex said No! Due to pending civil case over boat accident death.
@@tarnsand440 Amazing! You'd think that with all the millions upon millions upon millions of dollars he made plus stolen funds, she should have been able to scrape up $650,000 just by looking down the couch cushions, seats of the car, return/sell a few high dollar purchases, and have a yard sale over the weekend! Amazing how much money he had and yet he STILL lived going hand to mouth and paycheck to paycheck as though he lived in poverty. Pretty sad existence living a fake showy life but not having two pennies to rub together. I wonder WHAT he REALLY did with all that money!!!
Yes that’s what I was thinking nobody was there they had the dogs not very long out.Not a good life for dogs. They where not in the house because they are hunting dogs.I hate kennels they alone too.And the space horrible and the murder day nobody was looking for the dogs they went crazy if they can speak the would tell the truth.
Poor dogs being kept like that. In a pleasant distance away from the house too. It's a crime in it self. All the stolen millions should have aforded a better life for dogs than this.
@@TalkTrash55 the bare minimum is acceptable to you for animals?? Especially since there is so much resources to this family available to do more with space without any extra effort. This, to me, is how you treat a resource, not something you care about. Its a shame to me that people find animal conditions like this unquestionable. How much movement do they have all day in that space? Its so sad to take freedom away and then say minimum is good enough.
@@thesummerland6165 but his wife Maggie loved to go to the dogs and take a walk with them. It’s irritating.. the dogs lived under heartless conditions.
That was my thought to. Horrible especially knowing two were favoured and let out in front of the others to be loved on. Glad they’re not living that shitty prison life.
I cant believe yours is the only comment about this. That stain is all I thought about during the video. I'm not sure people realize what those stains are. They match the crime scene photos... and that darkest spot is where his brain landed and had to be scraped off the sidewalk.
@@Punnoosia yea I thought the same thing. No one even knows. Alec looked traumatized when the witnesses went into detail about this point of the murders. You could tell he was reliving it in his mind. The look on Paul's face after he shot him has to be burned into his memory forever. Glad the jury came back guilty though. This was such an insane case.
@@kjordan296 so much for John Marvin's cleanup. He was probably cleaning up other things and from other of the Murdock properties as well like the weapons and stuff
He also had several real estate properties LLC's. Requested a $600K loan from Palmetto State Bank for 'the farm'- meaning Moselle. Said his Dad would co-sign additional loan of neccesary.
Its not money that defines a person... this whole family was evil and complicit in the downfall of the Murdaugh family... each and every one.. from fathers and sons to cousins and grands... The Murdaugh family was and is corrupted .. im my opinion
You are so stupid!! That smith boy was a prostitute on Craigslist and saw 40+ older men…. One who testified was on seroquel… a very strong psychiatric drug…. Get your facts straight!! Gossip is cheap
I think this helped the States case to come and visit murder site. To see how far out in the country it is. No reasonable person would think someone would come onto a property at dusk with dogs, guns, maybe camera's, and kill a mother and her son. The risk out weights the means. Any criminologist would say the same thing.
Its creepy and looks like a movie set. Definitely helped the states case. And a dark, dreary winter day. Im sure once the jurors start to talk we will find out how much this sealed the deal for their verdict
@@mimisalazar3133 the exact guns were never found. I’m sure there are thousands of blackouts, and thousands of 12 gauge shotguns sold every day. The fact that a hunting family with their own hunting property had 2 the same means absolutely nothing.
There’s no way anyone could’ve entered that property, undetected, and killed 2 people before they had the chance to react. How would the “5’2 inch” killers know Maggie & Paul would be at the kennels, and how would they be able to find the kennels (the property is 1700 acres)?
Agree & why didn't the dogs respond to "intruders" either. Without 99% of the evidence it's not credible that anyone but Alec could & would do this. I believe there was a huge motive for him to kill Maggie
I think being on the property was not the best choice and I’m glad they went because perhaps they felt the energies of the murdered family crying out for justice
It is not unusal for jurors to visit the scene of where a crime occurred. If I were a juror I would want to see where the crime occurred to give me a better perspective of things.
I think it must have been surreal for the jurors to see and understand that the location the weapons the lies and common sense factor that it could only have been Alec.
Having been to the property, the jurors must have crossed out the feasibility of unknown assailant/s lurking behind the bush undetected, which was implied by the defence.
If you go to 17:20 and look at the upstairs right window, you will see the curtain slowly close! Very creepy unless someone is in the house and just looking out the window!
Makes it more obvious that AM should of been very concerned about being shot when discovering the bodies. So many places for an assailant to hide yet he just stood around in the open waiting for LE.
This is what can happen to a man's soul when he continually goes after MORE THAN HE NEEDS. He could not sate his own monster, he couldn't take his own narcissistic life, so he took theirs instead. Buster is lucky he wasn't there or he probably would have got it too.
Buster did not gave his father a headache,I believe Paul his son is being litigated for the death of one of his friend in the boating accident and that would have been money liability for Alex to pay also.So he did not want to pay potentially million in damages. His wife Maggie being dead and if he got away with it.He could sell his house or that property in millions with no one to share the proceeds except him.He get all the money from the sale.Plus saving his face or embarassment from his wife or family from all the financial crimes it was about to unravel. So he wanted Paul and his wife out of his life by killing them
I have thought of that. It seems no coincidence that this family’s favorite “hobby” was killing living things. I hate ppl who hunt for sport. Is there anything more psychopathic…?
Exactly! People who had killed so many innocent, beautiful animals... I don't get that. Why is it legal to kill for fun... why is it called hobby, tradition, sport or anything else 🤮
Just by looking at a simple video without audio, the place has an eerie vibe. I bet it really does in person and probably had an impact on the jurors. Walls can talk.
If the property was in good condition would be different but outbuildings look like they'll need to be replaced in a couple years. No caretaker obviously. Overgrowth vegetation needs clearing. New owner must not live nearby perhaps out of state. As it is very haunting looks like time stood still after murders.
There isn't a doubt in my mind that he wouldn't have heard 2 shotgun blasts and 4 AR15 shots in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere. Those shots would've rang and echo'd for miles. Just one of the many reasons I'm assured of his guilt beyond any doubt let alone reasonable doubt.
Y'all saying they didn't clean up the place, I wonder how your own homes look like now. The place has been abandoned for 2 years for goodness sake. Duh
His family knew he did it they just didn’t want to believe it but deep down I think they knew!!!!!! They just didn’t want to believe it. ! Sad for Buster ,Paul and Maggie! What a fucked up person he was
It is sad that someone they trusted did such a horrible thing & neither deserve it! , but they weren’t innocent in life it self! Buster has a suspicious background following him related to killing Steven, Paul for killing the Beach girl, & his mom somehow in the falling of the housekeeper. Mom knew that Paul had a drinking problem & she alone with Alex chose to look the other way! & just cover up All of his wrong doings & bad choices! Buster allegedly gave a copy of his id to Paul so he could buy alcohol! So Yessss it’s Sad All around! All of the lying & covering up started with daddy Randolph! This family thought that they could say & Do whatever they wanted to Anybody they wanted & continue to get away with it, like they did for generations!
Buster? He's standing by Daddy because Daddy covered up the beating that killed poor Stephn Smith. Paul also had scandal & tragedy under his young belt & was just like his Daddy, and Maggie raised em both. So. The whole family was effed up. Poor victims, but they ain't them.
@@theworldisavampire3346 I try to imagine people like Paul & Buster if they had been raised by someone else…perhaps they would have turned out differently. All around, the entire thing is a pity.
Just think about it, who would be able to approach this massive property at any day!!! To not mention at that particular time knowing the mother and son were at the dog kennel and ambushed them!!! And escaped, on foot
No way did he not hear the gunshots. Surprised prosecutor never ask him this question. Also surprised property had no security cameras (outside house, front gates etc) If anyone was targeting this family it be towards Alex and Paul not Maggie and Paul. Another motive Alex acquiring Maggies sizable estate, to sell / mortgage
Paul was a criminal and Maggie was living a very comfortable life spending money gotta from blood and tears of innocent peoples that her monster husband fraudulently stole from them, God don't like ugly or wrong, they ended like poisoned snakes eating each other, Buster Will get his Karma one day too, God don't forget!
It’s been two years since anyone lived there with the bare minimum of attention. Mother Nature has started to return to where humans tried to tame her. It’s in that ugly, in-between stage right now but if it could be left alone long enough this property would once again become beautiful and wild
It looks dead here. Alex collapsed the house of cards. He ran a muck for yeeears and was probably just like Paul (ROLIP) when he was young. It's all captivating. Next, the mom will die.... That family is ruined. I'm wondering if they'll move out of S.C. I do wonder why Alex really killed them and how he mustered up the nerve to do it.

It was the defense idea to take the jury to the scene of the murder. Why, I will never know. The spirit of the dead spoked to that jury, they said Alex did it. 🙄
When you're married to a psychopath/narcissist you always wonder if they'd let you starve while they ate the last piece. When Meggie was hit by the first shot, that realization also hit home- she'd always known.😢
I've often wondered if Jim and Poot both know in their hearts he did it and this is why they asked the jury to visit the scene. That way they see AM absolutely could have killed them both, and DID, but it would still appear as though they were trying to defend him
This is so sad. He gets to live with the fact that he killed his own son and wife. Pride ruined this whole family. He installed it into his children too. Now their blood is on his hands. May God have mercy on his soul.
He doesn't give a red blooded damn for anyone but himself. Completely remorseless. If there is a God, I hope He or She saves mercy and grace for the victims of this family's crimes.
*Gorgeous land!!!I love this property so sad this man poisoned these grounds with all the lives taken there!!! He destroyed his family in a matter of minutes ~ it's very eerie watching this seeing where Paul & his mother were so violently killed...the dogs seen everything play out ( if only the dogs could share their story) Sleep well Paul & Maggie🙏❤🙏*
The dog did speak...it was Bubba in the video that Paul took. Bubba had the ginny in his mouth...which made Alex speak and said aloud "Bubba" That is how we know that Alex was at the crime scene. Thank you Paul, and thank you Bubba! You two, single handedly solved these tangled murders! Rest in peace Maggie ang Paul! 🙏
@@rosiegirl2485 Did they ever bring up in the trial where Bubba was when LE got there? Obviously he was loose during the video, but did AM put him back in the kennel after the killing? Dogs are close to their humans so I can imagine it would have been hard to get him rounded up after seeing his human "family" members murdered. Is that why the kennel cleaner guy (cant remember his name right now..) mentioned about the hose not being put back up correctly? I absolutely think AM did it; I am just amazed at how quickly he was able to get everything cleaned up in the short amount of time. Had to have been premeditated..
Go to 11:54 on the video. Look at the upper right window. Just before he turns left 12:11 someone opens the curtain. Perfect virw from 12:40 to 12:49. Then 14:45 gone. And again at 1722 a quick peek again. ??????
I'm glad I saw this. Alex has owned that property for years, and I expected to see a grand mansion. After all, it's the Murdaughs! And, WHO uses particleboard on an outside building? IMO, the whole family is disgusting.
Personally, at first I thought Aleck ordered a hit on Maggie and Paul. Perhaps his drug buddies killed Maggie and But as the State presented their case.. Alex's alibi crumbled like a house of cards. Hard to imagine father who could have his family slaughtered. No, he didn't order a hit. He shot them by his own hand. Those hands will soon be working on a chain gang!
This is how houses get haunted..if this place wasn't haunted before it is now. all that bad energy, those heartless actions mixed with the extreme energy of realising your husband & father is trying to kill you just before he does, that will stain the air forever. I'm sorry this dynasty had to fall this way, but at least R.A.M. can't destroy anyone else's life.
This property is probably haunted by now! The unsettling negative energy would linger for a long time to come. This property is sold for $ 3.5 millions already in 2023!
An entrepreneur, lot of money to be made there as a macabre museum/tourist attraction. Human nature,(if a bit voyeuristic/ghoulish,) just look at the millions who tour Holocaust sites and museums.
I appreciate this video showing the relationship of crime scenes to one another;however, it made me weep. I have two children in their 20's, and I can completely understand why Maggie ran toward Paul. I can only pray that within the 5 seconds before she died she didnt realize what had happened to her baby. and who had murdered him. Alex Murdaugh is one of the most evil people to come along in a long time. My heart breaks, very especially, for Maggie bc I relate to her as a mama. Alex should have gotten the death penalty. Period. Pure evil should not be allowed to exist in our world.
Yes, pure evil. When I saw the "prison photos" of him just last week, relaxed, smiling, yawning, it reinforces that belief. There is no grief in this man. I seriously doubt if he even thinks about the son he killed in cold blood. In fact, I think he despises his son even more than when he shot him because of the cell video Paul recorded capturing his father's voice at the kennels. Honest to God, that kind of evil is terrifying.
U don’t. But that is not the point - the dude did not kill anyone, was convicted out of jealousy and real killers are drinking champagne now. Police is useless
I never knew my ex wife tbh She left me because I’m guessing it was supposed to be greener on the other side. Well, it wasn’t. Fast forward 15 years and now she sits in prison for killing her husband and 3 kids over a child custody case.
I hope he has to sell everything to pay all the victims. What a greedy jerk. He cares for no one but himself. There is a special place in hell for him.
I still believe he was looking for his pills and was so angry he snapped and killed them and the 200+ steps afterwards was him looking for the missing pills.
That’s very believable. I wonder why Alec didn’t mention it when he was on the stand being cross examined. Over a period of 20 years those pills damaged his brain.
There is someone in that house!! At the 17:20 point. View of front of house, third top window, far right, you see the corner of the curtain close! Dannnnnm who would be in there?
Yes.. it is. However, I think the bad things sometimes need to be seen so that we all can be aware of the amount of senselessness that happened and hopefully don't let things happen like this. Makes us thankful for the wonderful things in our lives. Not get caught up in the everyday crappy things that happen to us...because compared to this.. most problems are minor.. you know? Alec is where he belongs. I’m sad for Buster, I hope he gets counseling and guidance, so he can have a happier life. Money doesn’t make your life better, not excess money anyway. ❤️🥰🙏🏻
It really isn't about money, overall, IMHO. Lots of people without money kill. It's about a empty, narcissistic, evil soul roaming the earth until it gets caught. If he wasn't trying to cover up financial crimes, he would have killed for another reason. He's was a sick mo-fo.
If Steven Smith’s death case is opened up, Buster could be in a heap of trouble. It was established that he didn’t die from an auto accident, but blunt force damage to his head. It seems like all the deaths connected to the Murdaughs are from severe head injuries.
My heart goes out to Buster that he lost his mom and his brother and his dad is going to jail but frankly I’d like to see a court case of what happened to that kid Stephen and unfortunately Buster might be in jail down the road too.
17:20 the upstairs right side curtain slowly closes!! I wonder is the house empty during this showing or was someone up there looking out the window? Kinda creepy!
Oh my goodness!! That third window curtain up top does close!! Dannnnnm! I believe though, that a shirt hanging in the other window. According to Blanca, that's the laundry room . BUT THAT CURTAIN DOES MOVE,,,,HOLLY COW😬😬
Greed and spoilt. Paul because of being spoilt, took Buster's ID, bought alcohol and went on the boat ride with his friends resulting in that tragic loss of life. Greedy and spoilt Alec knew Paul was going to be found guilty and didn't want Maggie to have to face up with the embarrassment of that plus the revelations of his thieving an eventual dismissal from the firm. He later asked the now imprisoned hitman to take him out so Buster can get 10 million from his insurance. Why the latter?: because Buster either assisted in the double murder or helped him cover up. Yep, I said it.
Actually Buster had a duplicate ID. He must've said he lost his orginal. So Paul used the duplicate on a regular basis. His ex gf said Paul was heavy drinker drank daily. I'm Canadian our legal drinking age is 18 so easier to see if someone is using fake or someone elses ID when they look 12-14.
I felt really sad when I saw the house. You see remnants of Maggie still there with rocking chairs on the porch and flower pots, ect. Just too sad for words.
I think that this property has sat untouched since the murders in 2021… how odd the brothers and Buster had done nothing to make it look presentable….hunted property I must say…then again, AM with all the money he stole didn’t put much on this property… I kinda of understand how Maggie felt…RIP Maggie and Paul….justice is been served!
Three people died here. And in pretty close proximity of each other too. It'll take a special kind of person to buy this property. I couldn't do it. Too many ghosts. Alex really must've hated Paul and Maggie to kill them so heineously. Stone cold killer Alex was.
