the def system on a new diesel is almost completely separate from the actual motor so it shouldnt effect the mpg but on the other hand because the def injector is not responding correctly the truck wont go through a regen for the exhaust which will clog the diesel particulate filter so then that could reduce mpg and eventually make the truck not able to start
Thanks James. I would imagine a couple hundred miles wouldn’t be enough distance to clog that filter though, right? Perhaps it idled st the dealership during diagnostics, I did notice later a longer trip time than needed.
I haven’t been able to get it into the shop yet, but I’ll make a follow up once I know more about the issues. There’s some juicy stuff in my STRANDED video too, not sure if you’ve seen that one yet 😆 maybe don’t if you ordered a RAM haha
Yeah I’ve seen the video, makin me sweat! It’s weird though there’s ppl who haven’t had a single issue with their trucks and there’s guys like yourself doesn’t make much sense . Maybe your truck was built on a Friday? Lol
